[This will be the thread for all my USWA news, notes, results, etc. Some of this first post will be repeated in the ICW thread, sorry but there are some news items in common.]
With the new year comes change. Both ICW and USWA have seen their roster sizes trimmed down as some wrestlers switch promotions while others leave for various reasons.
2117 ended in strong fashion with Bobby Heenan building a stable of wrestlers in both promotions as he plans to jump back and forth to be at ringside with his charges. In ICW he has Harley Race, Rick Rude and the I-C tag team champions the Vachons. In the USWA he has gathered Curt Hennig, Ray Stevens and King Kong Bundy. Heenan also manages the World champion Nick Bockwinkel.
There are plenty of people ready to oppose the Brain in his attempt at taking over the sport. Lining up for the fight in ICW are Jimmy Snuka and Bruiser Brody. In the USWA it's Mil Mascaras and the Crusher.
Bobby Heenan wasn't prepared for the surprising opponent that voiced his plan to stop him. Captain Lou Albano is also going to field a team in both companies to go up against the Heenan Family. Albano will manage Don Muraco, Bob Orton Jr. and Jimmy Snuka in ICW. In USWA he will come to the ring with Greg Valentine, Brutus Beefcake and Jimmy Valiant. Albano is going to have a hard time though as he has people on both teams that don't really like each other.
Newcomers to the USWA include the father/son combinations of Larry and Curt Hennig and Bob and Brad Armstrong. The Destroyer & Dan Severn are on the trail of the Road Warriors and the World tag team titles. Jim Cornette is looking for his Midnight Express to dominate the tag team scene with the addition of Dennis Condrey to work with Bobby Eaton and Stan Lane.
A new major event will take place in January. The Royal Rumble with be a unique interpretation of the battle royal as 30 men will enter the ring according to the number they have drawn.
The NWA board of directors announced that 2118 will open with a 32-man tournament to determine the first ever World Television champion. The ICW and the USWA will each hold their own 16-man tournament over the course of a month or so on regular television and the two winners will then face off at a date to be determined for the World TV title.

USWA Glory Jan. 2, 2118 Puerto Rico
The New Year began in the USWA with an excellent show in front of a capacity crowd. Brad Armstrong faced Midnight Express member "Sweet" Stan Lane. This one almost reached the time limit as it was a marathon that went back and forth many times. Brad Armstrong came away with a huge win in his debut.
The Kangaroos made their wrestling debut against Danny Hodge & the Missing Link. Hodge was in his first USWA match and started out against Al Costello and had things going his way. Roy Heffernan came in and took over against the Link. The Kangaroos impressive doubleteam finisher won the match.
Ed Lewis and Jim Londos, both men coming in from ICW, took on the former world tag team champions the Dream Team. This one didn't last long as Lewis had Valentine in the headlock and then Londos used the airplane spin. Beefcake stormed the ring and got himself DQed to end the match.
Mr. Perfect Curt Hennig made his first USWA appearance against one-half of the U.S. tag team champions Ilio DiPaolo. This one didn't take long as Perfect caught DiPaolo off the ropes and won with the Perfect Plex.
Playboy Buddy Rose, with his manager Sherri Martel, talked about the NWA world television title tournament. "I came to the USWA because I wasn't being treated fairly in ICW. I was the Intercontinental champion but didn't get my fair shot at getting the belt back. I think that tv strap will do just fine for me."
TV Title Tournament Round 1 Larry Hennig vs. Bob Armstrong
A family affair began the TV title tournament. Armstrong dominated the contest with Hennig only able for brief moments to stop his offense with some sort of power move. Hennig wouldn't go down though until finally Armstrong advanced with the sleeper.
TV Title Tournament Round 1 Jimmy Valiant vs. Justin Credible
The past history between these two played a big part in the outcome of this one as both men have been feuding for months. To close out 2117 at Clash of the Champions Valiant won a Lumberjack match against Credible. These two just started brawling and Credible forgot what was at stake and was DQed early on. He battered Valiant after the match but it is the Boogie Woogie Man moving to the second round.
Antonio Inoki joined forces with Giant Baba to face Heenan Family members Ray Stevens and King Kong Bundy. Baba brought Inoki in and he hammered Stevens with both his finishing moves. Outside Stevens was fired into the post and was counted out of the ring.
Road Warriors (World Tag CH) vs. Destroyer & Dan Severn
This was a rematch from the Clash where the LOD won by D.Q. It was also one of the greatest tag title matches of all-time.
The bout could have gone either way on so many occasions. All four men were in serious trouble at one point or another. The LOD and the challengers were able to break up pin attempts and Paul Ellering even saved the titles once. The Destroyer and Severn were able to apply their submission finishers while the Road Warriors landed the Doomsday Device. After an epic battle the champions took the win as the result of a count out, only adding more fuel to the fire when these teams meet again.
Next week in Hawaii: Ed Lewis & Jim Londos vs. Dream Team Dallas Page vs. Larry Zbyszko Antonino Rocca vs. Curt Hennig Mil Mascaras & Crusher vs. Kangaroos Danny Hodge vs. Frank Gotch (TV Title Tourney First Round) Brad Armstrong vs. Buddy Rose (TV Title Tourney First Round) Antonio Inoki vs. Ray Stevens Jimmy Valiant vs. Justin Credible (Steel Cage)

USWA Glory #54 Hawaii January 9, 2118
In a rematch from last week, Ed Lewis and Jim Londos took on the Dream Team to open the show. This was another fast encounter as the old-school contingent quickly put Beefcake down on the mat and never gave Valentine a chance to come in the ring. Beefcake submitted in the Boston Crab.
Larry Zbyszko mouthed off about Diamond Dallas Page before getting in the ring and then backed up his word. Page managed little offense but fought hard and wouldn't quit. Zbyszko leveled Page in the corner and won with the piledriver.
Mr. Perfect Curt Hennig squared off against the other half of the U.S. tag team champions after having beaten Ilio DiPaolo last week. Rocca went on the attack and had Hennig in trouble with a lot of high risk moves. Hennig rallied and got the win with the Perfect Plex.
Backstage the Destroyer & Dan Severn talked about recent events with the Road Warriors. "Those belts are coming to us! Twice we have been robbed, by DQ and countout. At the Royal Rumble we will finish the job.
U.S. champion Mil Mascaras joined forces with the Crusher to take on the new team of the Kangaroos. Mascaras nearly won the match on his own with incredible dives out to the floor and moves off the top rope. The Kangaroos made the exchange and then the match went back and forth. Finally it was the Boomerang that got the win after interference from Wild Red Berry.
TV Title Tourney Rd. 1 Danny Hodge vs. Frank Gotch
A great matchup between two technicians but it was Hodge that dominated the match. He looked spectacular diving to the floor and was equally dangerous coming off the top rope. Gotch hung on but wasn't give any chance to fight back. Hodge took advantage while Gotch was tied up in the ropes and later the referee was knocked down briefly. The Oklahoma Sideroll moved Hodge to the second round.
TV Title Tourney Rd. 1 Brad Armstrong vs. Buddy Rose
B.A. got off to a good start but Rose soon turned the tide. Armstrong survived Rose's Bomb's Away but a foreign object further infuriated the fans as Rose got the win.
Antonio Inoki went one-on-one with Ray Stevens. Heenan's man never had a chance as Inoki quickly won with the Enzuiguri.
Steel Cage Jimmy Valiant vs. Justin Credible
These two stepped into the cage to try and end their feud. After a brutal match Valiant came out on top with the sleeper.
Next week in Venice Beach, CA: Missing Link vs. Ray Stevens Danny Hodge vs. Buddy Rose Bob Armstrong vs. Mr. Perfect Dallas Page vs. Killer Kowalski (TV Tourney Rd. 1) Larry Zbyszko vs. King Kong Bundy (TV Tourney Rd. 1) Giant Baba & Antonio Inoki vs. Midnight Express Mil Mascaras & Crusher vs. Kangaroos & Wild Red Berry Ed Lewis, Jim Londos & George Hackenschmidt (Six-Man CH) vs. Albano's Army (Dream Team & Jimmy Valiant)

USWA Glory Venice Beach, CA January 16, 2118
The Missing Link, with Ida Mae Martinez, opened the show against Ray Stevens. The Link tossed the Crippler all over the place, never letting up on him. A nice power slam finished him off for the upset. Stevens looked around and might have been wondering why Bobby Heenan is still overseas in ICW.
An amazing match between Danny Hodge and Buddy Rose followed. Hodge flew all over the place, nailing Rose with dives to the floor. Rose fought back and used whatever he could on the outside and landed his Bombs Away finisher. Hodge came back and Sherri Martel prevented the pin of Rose. Later Rose narrowly avoided being counted out. Hodge dropkicked Martel off the apron and beat Rose with the Oklahoma Sideroll.
Mr. Perfect Curt Hennig almost took his first loss to Bob Armstrong. At the start Armstrong came close to winning with chops, an atomic drop, suplex and the Sleeper. Hennig came back and won with the Perfect Plex.
Larry the "Axe" Hennig briefly talked about being in the USWA. He was ready for the Royal Rumble and was here to pit himself against the best wrestlers out there. He also talked about how proud he was for his son Curt but that he wasn't completely sold on Bobby Heenan as his manager.
TV Title Tourney Rd. 1 Dallas Page vs. Killer Kowalski
Kowalski completely mauled DDP. After a choke slam and knee drop a power slam put away Page. Kowalski will meet Bob Armstrong in the second round.
TV Title Tourney Rd. 1 Larry Zbyszko vs. King Kong Bundy
Zbyszko was all offense in this one. After a sleeper, kicks and a knee smash Bundy retreated to the floor. Zbyszko blasted Bundy with a knee as he was coming back in and got the pin to advance and face Buddy Rose in the second round. Ray Stevens ran in a little too late and double teamed Zbyszko.
A big tag team match between Antonio Inoki & Giant Baba and the Midnight Express (Eaton & Condrey). Condrey was down early but got the tag to Eaton. Baba survived both the Vegomatic and the Rocket Launcher. Inoki got back in and wiped out both men, beating Eaton with the Enzuigiri.
After last week's count out loss to the Kangaroos, Mil Mascaras & the Crusher signed for a handicap match against the Kangaroos and their manager Wild Red Berry. Crusher started out good but the Kangaroos hit their Boomerang finisher. Mil made the save and later Berry came in with the cane on the Luchador. The Crusher got the tag and beat on Berry. The Kangaroos made a save but Berry was counted out after Mascaras crushed him with a dive on the floor.
The main event was for the World Six-Man tag team titles. Co-holder George Hackenschmidt no-showed and Ed Lewis & Jim Londos had to defend by themselves against Albano's Army (Dream Team & Jimmy Valiant.)
It was as if they had a third man as Lewis and Londos were all over Brutus Beefcake and then Greg Valentine. Jimmy Valiant got things going their way but Lewis and Londos took over again. Finally Valentine was able to lock on the Figure Four and wear down Londos. Lewis came in once but Londos had to give it up and Albano's Army are the new Six-Man tag team champions!
Lewis and Londos had no explanation for Hackenschmidt not being there but said they would be on the lookout for him at the Royal Rumble.
The following wrestlers were announced as being confirmed entrants for the Royal Rumble: Heenan Family members Curt Hennig, Ray Stevens and King Kong Bundy; U.S. champion Mil Mascaras, and the Crusher.
Other matches announced for the Royal Rumble: World tag team champions the Road Warriors vs. Destroyer & Dan Severn (2/3 Falls)
Next week in Portland, OR Valiant Brothers vs. Destroyer & Dan Severn Larry Hennig vs. Justin Credible Brutus Beefcake vs. Ray Stevens (TV Title Tourney Rd. 1) Missing Link vs. Greg Valentine (TV Title Tourney Rd. 1) Larry Zbyszko vs. King Kong Bundy Giant Baba & Antonio Inoki vs. Midnight Express Antonino Rocca & Ilio DiPaolo (U.S. Tag CH) vs. Ed Lewis & Jim Londos Mil Mascaras (U.S. CH) vs. Mr. Perfect Curt Hennig

USWA Glory #56 Portland, OR January 23, 2118
For the first time in eight months, Johnny Valiant returned to the square circle to team with Jimmy Valiant to go up against the Destroyer & Dan Severn. Johnny had not wrestled since last May when the Valiants lost the I-C tag titles to the Vachons.
The Valiants looked awesome in the ring as the Destroyer & Severn never had a chance in this one. Lou Albano's men did everything right and Johnny pinned the Destroyer and upset the No. 1 contenders for the world tag team titles.
After the match Johnny said he was back to help Jimmy and Lou Albano's Army fight the Heenan Family and that's all that needs to be said.
Larry Hennig didn't need much time to put away Justin Credible.
TV Title Tourney Rd. 1 Brutus Beefcake vs. Ray Stevens
A matchup that featured Albano's Army against the Heenan Family and the match tore the house down. A lot of fighting was done on the outside as this was a knock down, drag out affair. Both men were on the verge of defeat but would get back up and score a nearfall on the opponent. Both wrestlers took every high risk they could and the two managers just let them go at it. The two fought to the extent of the 15-minute time limit and both were eliminated from the tournament, giving Danny Hodge a bye.
TV Title Tourney Rd. 1 Missing Link vs. Greg Valentine
Albano managed to get the Hammer into the second round by a D.Q. win over the Link.
King Kong Bundy got revenged on Larry Zbyszko after he was knocked out of the tourney last week. Zbyszko felt the Avalanche and didn't get up.
Jim Cornette sent Eaton & Lane against Baba & Antonio Inoki after the Japanese contingent defeated Eaton & Condrey last week. Inoki got the advantage and Baba came in with a boot and the Neckbreaker Drop for the win.
U.S. tag team champions Antonino Rocca & Ilio DiPaolo took on Ed Lewis and Jim Londos. It was a good back and forth contest and Rocca got the win with the backbreaker to retain the titles.
Mil Mascaras put the U.S. title on the line against Mr. Perfect Curt Hennig. Bobby Heenan returned to the states to be at ringside with his man. Mascaras handled Hennig without too much trouble in this one and held on to the gold with the Flying Bodypress.
The list of participants in the Royal Rumble next week from the USWA was announced: Mil Mascaras (U.S. champ) Heenan Family: Curt Hennig, Ray Stevens, King Kong Bundy Albano's Army: Greg Valentine, Brutus Beefcake, Jimmy Valiant Danny Hodge Buddy Rose Dallas Page Crusher Larry Hennig Missing Link Larry Zbyszko
Also on the card in Anchorage, Alaska: Road Warriors (World Tag CH) vs. Destroyer & Dan Severn (2/3 Falls) Bob Armstrong vs. Killer Kowalski (TV Title Tourney Rd. 2) Antonio Inoki & Giant Baba vs. Midnight Express vs. Kangaroos

The first ever Royal Rumble is here in Anchorage, Alaska! Thirty men from both the ICW and USWA will draw numbers to determine the order they will enter the ring with another man joining the fray every two minutes.
As fans were getting settled they enjoyed a womens dark match between Reggie Bennett and Madusa Miceli. The awesome power of Bennett dominated this one as Madusa struggled to find any offense. Bennett couldn't get the win even after a top rope splash. Madusa showed power of her own with a back suplex on the outside. Madusa pulled out the win with a roll up in the corner and her feet on the ropes.
USWA Glory hosted the preshow to the Royal Rumble. From ICW the Killer Bees faced Buff Bagwell and Konnan, the men who injured Brian Blair a few weeks ago. The Bees attacked before the bell and worked over Konnan with a double elbow smash. Brunzell hit a dive to the floor sending Konnan crashing into the railing. Konnan finally got away after hitting Brunzell of the ropes. Blair quickly got a tag but Bagwell hit a double axe off the ropes and scored a quick pin on Blair.
The Royal Rumble opened with an USWA bracket world TV title tournament match between Bob Armstrong and Killer Kowalski. Kowalski looked to win in quick fashion with an elbow smash and clothesline off the second rope. After being slammed on the floor Armstrong avoided being counted out. Armstrong rallied with chops and the sleeper. It was back and forth until both men went down off the ropes. Armstrong slapped on the Figure Four and got the submission to advance in the tournament and will face Danny Hodge in the semifinals of the USWA bracket.
The ICW TV title tournament match was Ted DiBiase against his former employee in the Million $ Team Bob Orton Jr. The match started with a brawl on the floor. DiBiase used his black glove off the second rope and secured a fast pin on Orton and will now meet either Don Leo Jonathan or Ox Baker.
Ed "Strangler" Lewis looked for payback against George Hackenschmidt who no-showed a six-man tag title defense, leaving him and Jim Londos alone to lose the belts to the Dream Team and Jimmy Valiant. Lewis took over with a full nelson and neck snap but Hackenschmidt came back on the floor. Hack powered to a surprisingly easy win with the Bear Hug and then the Bolsheviks rushed in the ring and triple teamed Lewis.
Nikolai Volkoff returned to ICW with Ivan Koloff to help him against the Iron Sheik. Iron Sheik tried to use a chair before the match but it was Volkoff blasting him with it. Volkoff nailed him with a shoulder block off the middle rope and knocked out referee Tommy Young. Volkoff hammered his former partner with his fininsiher but got a win by D.Q. when the Grand Wizard attacked him outside the ring. Ivan Koloff came out again and help work over the Iron Sheik.
Up next was a Triple Threat Match between Giant Baba/Antonio Inoki, the Midnight Express and the Kangaroos. With Baba and Al Costello both down Stan Lane landed a superkick on Baba. Al used the Greek Cross on Lane but Baba saved the pin. Inoki took over on Lane then a three way brawl broke out. The Kangaroos hit the Boomerang to put away Bobby Eaton.
An Interpromotional challenge match put the U.S. tag champs Ilio DiPaolo & Antonino Rocca against I-C tag champs the Vachons. The Butcher took a beating after a dropkick by Ilio and a somersault off the apron but was not counted out. Rocca took over but Butcher got the tag after a figure four by Ilio. The match was back and forth and Ilio almost won with a small package. Rocca had the backbreaker on Mad Dog and the Butcher stormed in and was D.Q.ed.
The 2/3 Falls match between world tag team champions the Road Warriors and the Destroyer/Dan Severn combination was one of the greatest matches in wrestling history. The LOD had won by D.Q. and by C.O. in previous encounters.
The Destroyer took over on Hawk in the corner and used the boston crab and suplexes. Severn battered Hawk with firemans carry slam. Hawk fought back on the outside but the LOD didn't seem together in this one as they usually are. Animal power bombed Severn hit a flying shoulder ram before both men went down in the corner. A power slam and double sledge hammer off the ropes had Hawk in trouble and then the Figure Four by the Destroyer won the first fall.
Destroyer tried to put Hawk away again but hit the referee off the top rope. The masked man laid into Hawk with the referee out of it. Animal got back in with the ref on his feet and a spike pilderiver on Destroyer. Outside Severn came back and put the bow and arrow on Hawk with Animal making the save. Hawk made the tag but Animal missed his charge in the corner. Severn back suplexed him off the top rope and planted him with a firemans carry slam.
Animal rallied with a press slam and power slam off the 2nd rope on Severn. Severn came back on the floor and the Destroyer put the Figure Four on Animal but Hawk saved the titles again. Animal got up first after a double clothesline but Severn caught him with a piledriver. Paul Ellering kept the LOD in the match after the Wakigatame. A double boston crab on Animal still didn't get a submission. Animal caught the Destroyer with a power slam and the LOD somehow were able to hit the Doomsday Device to even the match at one fall apiece.
The Road Warriors tried to pull off the Decapitator but Destroyer got off of Animal's shoulders and both LOD members went down. Destroyer couldn't finish Animal off and Hawk came in. They spilled to the outside and the LOD leveled him with a double clotheseline.
The Destroyer came off the top rope with a dropkick and applied the boston crab. Severn then laid Hawk out one last time with the firemans carry slam and got the pin to win the world tag team titles!

USWA Glory #58 Seattle, WA February 6, 2118
The first Glory following the Royal Rumble. The Road Warriors interrupted the opening of the show to say they will be laying a serious hurting on the Heenan Family tonight. The LOD are still upset over losing the world tag team titles to the Destroyer & Dan Severn at the Royal Rumble.
Co-holder of the U.S. tag team titles Ilio DiPaolo faced Jim Cornette's Dennis Condrey. This was an intense and back and forth match with Cornette interjecting himself on behalf of Condrey. DiPaolo came away with the win after the Airplane Spin.
Larry "the Axe" Henning faced the unorthodox Missing Link. This was another very hard-hitting evenly fought contest. The match went in and out of the ring and Hennig picked up a victory by C.O.
Danny Hodge scored a fast win over Justin Credible with the Oklahoma Sideroll.
The Armstrongs went up against Jim Londos & Ed Lewis. This match was all Londos as he hit an inside-out crossbody block on Bob Armstrong. Brad had to enter the ring to save his dad and Londos took Bob to the floor and ended up being DQed with Lewis never being in the match.
TV Title Tourney Rd. 2 Jimmy Valiant vs. Greg Valentine
These men are both managed by Lou Albano and are 2/3 of the new world six-man tag team champions. The Hammer didn't seem to care about that and pounded away on Valiant controlling most of the match. They fought on the floor and Valentine advanced with the Figure Four.
TV Title Tourney Rd. 2 Buddy Rose vs. Larry Zbyszko
The Living Legends dominated most of the match with the Playboy. Rose continually ran to the outside but Zbyszko was there to throw him back in. Sherri Martel kept the match going for Rose. Her interference with Rose down on the mat gave him the opening to come back with the Bombs Away and pull out a win. Rose advances to the semifinals to meet Greg Valentine.
A Triple Threat rematch from the Royal Rumble put the Midnight Express, the Kangaroos and Giant Baba & Antonio Inoki in the ring together. There were many nearfalls and almost a count out. Bobby Eaton missed a dive to the floor and the Neckbreaker Drop by Baba ended the match.
The Road Warriors and Mil Mascaras took on Ray Stevens, King Kong Bundy & Curt Hennig in the main event. The LOD attacked and beat on Stevens. The Doomsday Device real early brought Bundy in for the save but they cleared the ring and hoisted Stevens up again. The pin came and Warriors didn't need any help from Mascaras to get the win.
Before the show went off the air fans were told that the finals of the world TV title tournament would take place on Saturday Night's Main Event. Another major event before the end of the month would be the Champions Cup Tournament. Already entered from the USWA are United States champion Mil Mascaras and the Giant Baba.

USWA Glory #58 Butte, MT February 13, 2118
Brad Armstrong went one-on-one with Jim Londos after last week his father Bob was attacked outside the ring. Brad didn't do very much at all and the Airplane Spin gave Londos the win.
Jimmy Valiant got off to a fast start against Mr. Perfect Curt Hennig. It didn't last long and Perfect came back with a slam on the floor. Then the Perfect Plex ended the match.
Larry "the Axe" Hennig took on the Missing Link in a rematch from last week. This one went the same way, back and forth the entire time until Hennig picked up a win with the Axe.
The Road Warriors tore right through Ray Stevens with King Kong Bundy never getting in the ring. The LOD were all over him and Stevens quickly got DQed outside the ring.
TV Title Tourney Semifinals Greg Valentine vs. Buddy Rose
The Hammer went right to work on the Playboy with chops and elbows. The Figure Four didn't put him away the first time and Sherri Martel kept her man alive. They fought to the outside and Valentine missed a clothesline in the corner and Rose rolled him up for a fast pin to reach the final.
TV Title Tourney Semifinals Danny Hodge vs. Bob Armstrong
This one was back and forth the whole way with Armstrong's slight power advantage coming into play. Armstrong pulled out the win with the Sleeper and will meet Rose next week.
Giant Baba & Antonio Inoki took on the Kangaroos. After an early advantage for the Japanese the tide turned in favor of the Kangaroos. They worked over Baba and landed the Boomerang three times before getting the win.
Nick Bockwinkel (World CH) vs. Mil Mascaras (U.S. CH)
Only the world title was on the line in this contest. Bockwinkel came out strong and had the Figure Four and the Sleeper hold early on the Luchador. Mascaras landed a double axe handle to the floor and almost won by C.O. Bockwinkel rallied with a piledriver and came out on top with the Sleeper to retain the title.

Bismarck, capital of North Dakota, hosted a hugh USWA Glory prior to the Champions Cup Tournament and Saturday Night's Main Event.
Diamond Dallas Page took on veteran Larry "the Axe" Hennig to open the show. Page started fast with the Diamond Cutter, but Hennig rallied on the floor. Page took the Axe and the match went back and forth. A double forearm smash from Hennig put away Page.
Next was another solid match between Larry Zbyszko and Justin Credible. Larry Z. used the piledriver early on and then again a short time later. Credible battled back but was caught again with the piledriver off the ropes to give Zbyszko the win.
Albano's Army met the Heenan Family when the Valiants took on Ray Stevens & King Kong Bundy. After a short brawl, Johnny Valiant came out on top off the ropes and quickly landed the top rope elbow with his brother. Jimmy Valiant put the sleeper on and then the neckbreaker put away Stevens as Bundy never made it into the match.
Jim Cornette sent Lane & Eaton against Ed Lewis & Jim Londos with the Midnight Express in desperate need of a win. Londos fought off both opponents and then Lewis put a double wristlock on Lane and then ended the match with his side headlock.
Bobby Heenan accompanied Mr. Perfect as he took on the Crusher. After a fight on the floor, Crusher kicked out of the Perfect Plex. Crusher slammed Perfect off the top rope but Hennig took over again on the outside. An Axe off the second rope, a sleeper and then the neck snap put away the Crusher.
World TV Title Tourney Final Bob Armstrong vs. Buddy Rose
The winner of this match will meet ICW representative Don Leo Jonathan at Saturday Night's Main Event for the world tv title. Rose attacked before the bell with a forearm smash. He then planted him with the Brainbuster and got a fast pin on Bob Armstrong to reach the championship match.
U.S. tag team titles were on the line when Antonino Rocca & Ilio DiPaolo defended against the Dream Team with Lou Albano. Beefcake got the upper hand on the floor and a double body slam on Ilio brought Valentine in the ring. DiPaolo missed a dive to the outside and crashed into the rail. The Hammer used a shoulder breaker, elbow drop, and then slapped on the Figure Four Leglock and the Dream Team won the United States tag team titles.
Before the main event, the Kangaroos made it known they should have gotten the title shot and both teams should be on the lookout for them.
Destroyer & Dan Severn (World Tag CH) vs. Antonio Inoki & Giant Baba
Inoki put the Destroyer down early but then each team made a tag. The match went back and forth. Severn hammered Inoki outside the ring and used the Wakigatame. After a pair of tags Baba and Destroyer traded blows. The masked man was DQed on the floor, and then the Kangaroos charged out and attacked both teams before making their escape.
This week the USWA and ICW will send representatives to compete in the Champions Cup Tournament, hosted by the Ultimate Wrestling Federation. Then it will be Saturday Night's Main event with the finals of the 32-man World TV Title Tournament.

USWA Glory #62 Cheyenne, WY March 6, 2118
Armstrongs & Danny Hodge vs. Midnight Express
A super six-man tag opened Glory. All three of Jim Cornette's men took their turn working over Bob Armstrong. Later they almost had Brad Armstrong counted out of the ring. The MX put Hodge down but he survived until finally going down to the Superkick by Stan Lane.
Antonio Inoki vs. Al Costello
Wild Red Berry couldn't help Costello in this one, and Inoki didn't need much time before winning with the top rope knee drop.
Hawk vs. Roy Heffernan
Both men battered each other, but Hawk started to take over and a series of flying clotheselines finished off the Kangaroo.
Larry Hennig vs. Antonino Rocca
This was a rematch from last week when Hennig got the win by D.Q. This one was an excellent contest with both men nearly pulling off the win. Rocca repeatedly missed his high risk moves to the outside, but the Axe wasn't able to capitalize. Rocca eventually got another win with the body scissors.
Ed Lewis & Jim Londos vs. Ray Stevens & King Kong Bundy
Heenan's men never let Lewis make a tag. Stevens was able to get the Strangler down, and Bundy entered the ring with the Avalanche for the win.
Ilio DiPaolo vs. Larry Zbyszko
Larry Z. took over in this one and after wearing his man down a little scored the pin with the piledriver.
Jimmy Valiant vs. Curt Hennig
The Boogie Woogie man got a fast start and hammered Mr. Perfect with everything he could. It wasn't enough and Hennig got the pin with the Axe.
Don Leo Jonathan (TV CH) & Crusher vs. Buddy Rose & Dallas Page
Rose and Page kept the Crusher in their corner. Jonathan came in with the Mormon Swing on Page, but then got himself disqualified on the outside.
Big announcements were made with Wrestlemania II heading our way at the end of the month.
First, Bobby Heenan agreed to the challenge issued by Lou Albano. Promoters and the championship committee will be allowed to sign as many matches as possible between the wrestlers managed by both men.
Second, word was passed along that Bobo Brazil requested interview time for next week. This will be his first appearance since being injured by the Sheik and his men. Rumors are that he will announce what special match he wants to have with the Sheik at Wrestlemania II.
Lastly, the main event for Wrestlemania II has been determined, and as it should be, the match will be for the world heavyweight title. Nick Bockwinkel will put the title on the line against The Superfly, Jimmy Snuka!
Next week is a HUGE show in Butte, MT: Missing Link vs. Justin Credible Danny Hodge vs. Buddy Rose Crusher vs. Dallas Page Antonino Rocca vs. Larry Zbyszko Greg Valentine vs. Curt Hennig Valiants vs. Ray Stevens & King Kong Bundy Don Leo Jonathan (World TV CH) vs. Bob Armstrong Road Warriors, Giant Baba & Antonio Inoki vs. Destroyer & Dan Severn (World Tag CH) & Kangaroos Mil Mascaras (U.S. CH) vs. Jim Londos

This was another quick match with Hodge putting away the #1 contender to the world television title. After several fast moves, a huge dropkick got the three count.

The Crippler nailed Jimmy V. before the bell. A double underhook suplex set Valiant up for the Avalanche and a five-count for Bundy to win the match. They double teamed the Boogie Woogie Man after the match.
Don Leo Jonathan def. Bob Armstrong to retain the World TV title
A super title defense for DLJ. Armstrong very nearly pulled off the upset with the Sleeper and a sustained offensive attack. Jonathan used all his big moves but couldn't get the pin. Finally Armstrong went down after the Mormon Swing, then Buddy Rose hit the ring to get some shots in on Jonathan.
Kangaroos, Destroyer & Dan Severn def. Road Warriors, Antonio Inoki & Giant Baba
This one barely got started before it was over and turned into a huge brawl in and out of the ring. Destroyer set Inoki up and Severn won the match with the Wakigatame. Then all four men battled to the back.
Jim Londos def. Mil Mascaras to win the United States title
Only two weeks before Wrestlemania II, Jim Londos pulled off the big upset to take the U.S. title away from Mil Mascaras. The masked man won the belt in a 25-man battle royal just over five months ago. It was an amazing title match, with Londos keeping the pressure on Mascaras, who would not give up. Mil had his share of nearfalls as well. Finally Londos scored the win with the Airplane Spin.

Bundy power slammed the Boogie Woogie Man at the bell and almost won. Valiant quickly applied the Sleeper and scored the win.
Destroyer def. Giant Baba
Singles action between co-holder of the world tag team titles the Destroyer and his opponent at Wrestlemania II the Giant Baba. It was a great match, each man going move for move with the other. There were several opportunities for either to take the win. The Destroyer came out on top with the Figure Four.

The other partners in the world tag team title match at Wrestlemania II. After going back and forth, Inoki got the win with the belly to belly suplex.

The powerhouse Reggie Bennet pounded away on Victoria. Alexis Laree came in with ferocity, hitting multiple spears and a top rope ddt. It would appear these two are back and wanted to let people know it.
Captain Lou Albano def. Bobby "the Brain" Heenan
A big part of Wrestlemania is the matches between Albano's Army and the Heenan Family. The managers were signed to a match as well. The two exchanged dirty tactics and both showed an ability to take punishment. Albano came up with the win after using a foreign object. Don Muraco and Bob Orton Jr. came out and then decided to get some shots in on Heenan. Then the Vachons ran in and soon every member of both stables were fighting it out in a battle royal setting. Glory went off the air with officials trying to clear the ring and Wrestlemania II began!
Welcome to Wrestlemania II! What a way to start it off with an impromptu battle royal between Albano and Heenan's men. Both managers were injured in the major altercation and it is unlikely that either man will be able to come out with their charges for any matches here tonight.
Iron Sheik, Sabu, Terrible Turk def. Ivan Koloff, Nikolai Volkoff, George Hackenschmidt in an Elimination Match
A great six-man battle opened Wrestlemania. The Russians maintained control, tagging in and out. The Terrible Turk was disqualified on the outside fighting with Hackenschmidt. The Russian Bear Hug then eliminated Sabu. Before leaving, Sabu and the Iron Sheik double teamed Hack, but he was not counted out. Hackenschmidt was eliminated by the Camel Clutch. The two went back and forth and then a blow off the second rope gave the Iron Sheik the pin and the win as sole survivor.

Orton also had not been competing in recent months until reaching the semifinals of the Family Feud tournament a week before Wrestlemania.
Mil Mascaras def. Curt Hennig 2-0 in a 2/3 Falls Match
The man of 1,000 masks exploded at the start with high-flying and then submission moves. Hennig was on the run and lost the first fall early after a cross body. After that Hennig gave Mascaras all he could handle. Hennig came back on the floor and used the Perfect Plex. Mascaras missed an elbow drop to the outside but was not counted out. Mil then kicked out of the Perfect Plex. Hennig got a shoulder up after a slingshot suplex. Mil missed a top rope splash but put a foot on the ropes. After kicking out of a running knee lift, Mascaras flew back into the ring with a cover and pinned Hennig to win the match.
Dream Team def. Ray Stevens & King Kong Bundy to retain the U.S. tag team titles
Albano's champions took on Heenan's challengers. Beefcake hammered away on Bundy and the big man went down after a double clothesline. Stevens saved Bundy and Beefcake missed in the corner. Stevens suplexed him around the ring and the Bombs Away landed. Beefcake was doubleteamed and Valentine came in for the save after the avalanche. Amidst the chaos the Hammer came up with the pin on Bundy.
Don Leo Jonathan def. Buddy Rose to retain the World TV title
Jonathan controlled the match until missing off the top rope. Jonathan came back and Rose tried to buy time. He kicked out of the Mormon Swing and then Sherri Martel interfered when he used the move again. Sherri accidentally hit Rose and Jonathan got the three-count. Martel screamed at her man, slapped him and left Rose alone.
Jim Londos def. Larry Zbyszko by D.Q. to retain the U.S. title
The living legend decided to make a statement rather than actually try to win the U.S. title. He smashed Londos with a chair just as the match started and was disqualified and continued to beat Londos after the bell.
Vachons def. Don Muraco & Bob Orton Jr. in a Chicago Street Fight to retain the I-C tag team titles
Mad Dog and Orton went back and forth until Butcher made the save after a superplex. The Hawaiian Hammer by Muraco almost ended this one. Mad Dog was in serious trouble outside the ring. He reversed and sent Muraco into the ring barrier. Butcher smashed him with a steel pipe and then the Vachons double teamed Orton. A piledriver by Mad Dog finished off Orton and Heenan's men enjoyed a win over Albano's.
Rick Rude def. Johnny Valentine to win the I-C title
Valentine had everything going his way as he sent Rude into the ring post, hit the Skullcrusher and a clothesline off the second rope. Valentine missed a big splash allowing Rude to come back. Valentine survived the Rude Awakening and he slammed the Ravishing One off the top rope. Rude kept fighting and wouldn't go down. They went in and out of the ring. Rude caught Valentine on the ropes again and then the Rude Awakening gave him the Intercontinental title.
Destroyer & Dan Severn def. Giant Baba & Antonio Inoki to retain the World tag team titles
Baba and Inoki worked over the Destroyer at the start. On the floor the Destrouyer took control. Inoki and Severn slugged it out and then a legsweep on the outside on Severn nearly ended the match by countout. The Destroyer put Baba in the figure four and the match was over.
Bobo Brazil def. the Sheik in a Stretcher Match
The level of brutality in this one far exceeded anything that was expected. Bobo was bound and determined to put an end to the Sheik anyway possible. Sheik caught Bobo with a boot in the corner and threw the fire in his face. Outside it was a double clothesline and then the Sheik hit a huge elbow smash off the apron onto the stretcher. Bobo survived the camel clutch and came back, backdropping Sheik over the top rope. Bobo hit a splash off the top onto the Sheik on the floor and both men were hurt. They were both being carried to the back when Bobo got up and renewed his assault on the Sheik. Bobo took over with his head butt. Sheik hit the post and after another head butt he was carried out of the arena on a stretcher and Bobo Brazil slumped in the ring with his hand raised in victory.
Jimmy Snuka def. Nick Bockwinkel to win the World heavyweight title
Bockwinkel tried to catch Snuka off guard but he missed and hit the corner. Snuka hit a big flying head butt but missed a clothesline and spilled to the floor. Bockwinkel used the sleeper and the figure four but it wasn't enough. Snuka smashed Bockwinkel into a table and again used the head butt. After a piledriver the Superfly came off the top with a splash and pinned Bockwinkel to win the world heavyweight title.
After the match, Harley Race entered the ring and had words with Bockwinkel. He then confronted Jimmy Snuka and proclaimed he should be the first man to challenge for the belt. Bockwinkel disagreed, but before they could come to blows Bruiser Brody stormed into the ring and blasted both men with huge clotheslines. Brody also hit Snuka with the big boot. Ray Stevens came out and appeared to be backing up Bockwinkel. The Heenan Family members got out of the ring with Brody looking for anyone to fight, and the Superfly didn't know what to think when his former partner attacked him too. Brody was also part of Heenan's stable for a time but has been increasing unpredictable and uncontrollable in recent weeks.

USWA Glory #66 Denver, CO April 3, 2118
One week after Wrestlemania II.
Danny Hodge def. Brad Armstrong
This one was very even and well fought. Brad took things to the outside and that helped give him the upper hand. Hodge got back to wrestling in the ring. A dropkick, Indian Deathlock and the Oklahoma Sideroll put away Armstrong.
Antonino Rocca def. Ilio DiPaolo
This match pitted former U.S. tag team champions against each other, as both men have decided to focus on singles wrestling. Rocca caught Ilio early with a crushing body scissors and quickly scored the win with the Argentinian Backbreaker.
Paul Ellering def. Wild Red Berry
The two managers took their feud into the ring with the Road Warriors and Kangaroos barred from ringside. Both men received multiple two counts. Precious Paul finally won following a knee drop and the Full Nelson.
Kangaroos def. Valiants
Jimmy Valiant got things going in his team's favor. The Kangaroos were able to turn it around and put a hurting on Jimmy V. Lou Albano kept his men in the match and Johnny V. made a save and interferred before the Kangaroos pinned Jimmy after a body block catapult.
Larry Zbyszko def. Ed Lewis by D.Q.
The Strangler wanted to get his hands on the Living Legend after his brutal beating of U.S. champ Jim Londos at Wrestlemania II. Zbyszko kept away from the power of Lewis and wore the bigger man down. Zbyszko also got the turnbuckle cover off and used that to his advantage. The fans were outraged when after all of this it was Lewis who was disqualified for his actions outside the ring.
Crusher def. Dallas Page by C.O.
Both men landed their finishers in the early going. The Crusher soon overpowered DDP and got a win by countout.
Interview: Frank Gotch has not been actively wrestling in recent months. The quiet man had a few words. He announced that the U.S. title is his primary goal at this time. To that end he is undertaking a personal challenge to defeat every man in the top 10 rankings of the USWA before taking the U.S. strap. After that his ultimate goal is the world heavyweight title.
Bob Armstrong def. Buddy Rose
Things continue to go down hill for Buddy Rose. He lost a TV title match to Don Leo Jonathan at Wrestlemania II and then Sherri Martel seemingly left him for good. She was not at ringside for this match. Armstrong dominated the match and blasted the Playboy twice off the top rope before going up again and winning with a crossbody.
Interview: Nick Bockwinkel made his return to the USWA in stunning fashion. He said Harley Race was looking for him yesterday in ICW. Well I'm over here now with my friend Ray Stevens. I'm the one that will get a world title rematch with Jimmy Snuka. We have been partners for a long time Race, but don't get in my way. I protected you all that time you had the belt. I finally had my turn and I aim to get it back. Bobby Heenan was not with the former world champion.
Giant Baba & Antonio Inoki def. Road Warriors
A huge tag team match with a possible title shot on the line at the Parade of Champions. The Road Warriors blasted Baba with the Doomsday Device but he kicked out. They then landed it again and Inoki interferred and took over the match. Hawk survived the attack before finally being pinned after a back suplex. Baba and Inoki lost a title match to the Destroyer & Dan Severn at Wrestlemania II but will now be lobbying for another one, as will the Kangaroos.

Larry Hennig vs. King Kong Bundy Bob Armstrong vs. Antonino Rocca Road Warriors vs. Valiants Crusher vs. Dallas Page Ed Lewis vs. Larry Zbyszko Giant Baba & Antonio Inoki vs. Kangaroos Dream Team vs. Nick Bockwinkel & Ray Stevens
