[This will be the thread for all my ICW news, notes, results, etc. Some of this first post will be repeated in the USWA thread, sorry but there are some news items in common.]
With the new year comes change. Both ICW and USWA have seen their roster sizes trimmed down as some wrestlers switch promotions while others leave for various reasons.
2117 ended in strong fashion with Bobby Heenan building a stable of wrestlers in both promotions as he plans to jump back and forth to be at ringside with his charges. In ICW he has Harley Race, Rick Rude and the I-C tag team champions the Vachons. In the USWA he has gathered Curt Hennig, Ray Stevens and King Kong Bundy. Heenan also manages the World champion Nick Bockwinkel.
There are plenty of people ready to oppose the Brain in his attempt at taking over the sport. Lining up for the fight in ICW are Jimmy Snuka and Bruiser Brody. In the USWA it's Mil Mascaras and the Crusher.
Bobby Heenan wasn't prepared for the surprising opponent that voiced his plan to stop him. Captain Lou Albano is also going to field a team in both companies to go up against the Heenan Family. Albano will manage Don Muraco, Bob Orton Jr. and Jimmy Snuka in ICW. In USWA he will come to the ring with Greg Valentine, Brutus Beefcake and Jimmy Valiant. Albano is going to have a hard time though as he has people on both teams that don't really like each other.
There are headline feuds for the New Year. Nikolai Volkoff has returned to ICW with Ivan Koloff as he looks for revenge against the Iron Sheik. But Iron Sheik is currently aligned with the Sheik, Sabu and the Terrible Turk. A twist in this feud is the new team of Ted DiBiase and Steve Williams, who interjected themselves right into the middle of this volatile situation.
A new major event will take place in January. The Royal Rumble with be a unique interpretation of the battle royal as 30 men will enter the ring according to the number they have drawn.
The NWA board of directors announced that 2118 will open with a 32-man tournament to determine the first ever World Television champion. The ICW and the USWA will each hold their own 16-man tournament over the course of a month or so on regular television and the two winners will then face off at a date to be determined for the World TV title.
USWA First Round Danny Hodge vs. Frank Gotch Brutus Beefcake vs. Ray Stevens Larry Hennig vs. Bob Armstrong Dallas Page vs. Killer Kowalski Greg Valentine vs. Missing Link Justin Credible vs. Jimmy Valiant Buddy Rose vs. Brad Armstrong King Kong Bundy vs. Larry Zbyszko

ICW follows Starrcade with a televised show from Mongolia on New Year's Day. The year 2118 kicks off with two first-round matches in the NWA World Television Title Tournament. Two of the biggest men in the sport in the form of Yukon Eric and Don Leo Jonathan square off. After that two newcomers, Gorgeous George and the Sandman, face off.
Also making their debut in ICW are the Killer Bees and the team of Buff Bagwell & Konnan. Ivan Koloff and Ted DiBiase have their first singles matches against Sabu and Bob Orton Jr. respectively.
This card could very well be considered to have a triple main event. Bruiser Brody battles Harley Race. Bobo Brazil and Hacksaw Jim Duggan have jumped to ICW in order to get their hands on the Sheik. They will team up to take on the Sheik & the Terrible Turk. Finally the world heavyweight champion Nick Bockwikel defends the title against Superfly Jimmy Snuka! Bobby Heenan and Captain Lou Albano will both be at ringside for this one.

[ok after a month I'm back rolling some dice!]
The New Year in ICW opened with Impact coming from Mongolia!
A pair of debuting tag teams started the show. The Killer Bees faced Buff Bagwell & Konnan. The Bees had the upper hand to start before Bagwell got the tag. He took over on offense and finished off B. Brian Blair with the Blockbuster. They then double teamed him and sent Jim Brunzell to the floor and continued their assault until he got back in the ring with a chair. Blair was definitely injured to some extent.
Later in the back, Bagwell said that he and Konnan were making a statement to everybody in ICW. The Bees followed us here from the USWA and we had to let them know who was in charge here. One last thing. Anybody remember the Crockett Cup last year? When we and the I-C tag champs the Vachons went to a time limit draw? Hey, they still have those belts. We're looking for another shot at them!
Ivan Koloff faced Sabu in his first singles match in ICW. Sabu was all over the Russian Bear and Koloff couldn't get any kind of offense going. After taking a beating Koloff rallied and powered his way back on top. Sabu took the punishment and then scored the pinfall.
Ted DiBiase faced off against a former member of his now defunct Million $ Team. Bob Orton Jr. put a serious hurting on his former employer. DiBiase managed little in the way of a comeback and the Superplex won the match for Orton.
Steve "Dr. Death" Williams talked a little about the NWA World Television Title Tournament. "It's great to be here in the ICW. I'm ready for anything and to take on anybody! Whether it's those Russians or them foreigners. In singles or tag with my man Ted DiBiase, we'll be the ones raising our hands at the end. I'm looking at that new TV belt and think it would look real good around the Doctor's waist!"
TV Title Tournament Round 1 Gorgeous George vs. Sandman
Both of these entrants are here from the USWA. The Sandman had failed in his attempts at the U.S. title held by Mil Mascaras. He kept himself on top by quickly downing Gorgeous George. Cherie inadvertantly gave Sandman the opening to use the Singapore Cane and he took the pinfall because of it to advance in the tournament.
TV Title Tournament Round 1 Yukon Eric vs. Don Leo Jonathan
Former tag team partners and good friends had to go at it in the first round. Jonathan was all business and never gave Eric any opportunity to mount a serious offense against him. The Mormon Swing sent Jonathan into the second round.
Bruiser Brody and Harley Race wasted no time in getting their fight started. It went back and forth for awhile with a lot of the match taking place on the outside. Bobby Heenan stayed out of Brody's way but Race hit the piledriver as Brody was coming back in the ring to get the win.
Bobo Brazil and Jim Duggan entered ICW to battle the Sheik & the Terrible Turk. This one was a brawl most of the time with Bobo taking the fight to both opponents. The Sheik avoided taking the loss after an assault by Bobo and the referee eventually chose to disqualify the Sheik and Bobo & Duggan took the win.
Nick Bockwinkel (World CH) vs. Jimmy Snuka
Bockwinkel faced the Superfly to begin the New Year in a title match. It was all Snuka at the start as Bockwinkel narrowly avoided being pinned in short fashion. Heenan needed to come up on the apron to keep the match going. Bockwinkel battled back but Snuka again took the upperhand. The champ wouldn't go down and took over with the sleeper. Lou Albano tried to help out Snuka but the Figure Four got the submission and Bockwinkel retained the world title.
Next week in Hong Kong: Koko B. Ware vs. Rick Rude Rikidozan vs. Ox Baker Don Leo Jonathan vs. Don Muraco Jim Brunzell vs. Buff Bagwell Gorgeous George vs. Sandman Jim Duggan vs. Dick Hutton (TV Tourney) Steve Williams vs. Konnan (TV Tourney) Bolsheviks vs. Iron Sheik & Sabu

ICW Impact #54 Hong Kong January, 8, 2118
The action in ICW continues to heat up with the world TV title tournament ongoing and the first ever Royal Rumble only three weeks away!
Bobby Heenan's man Ravishing Rick Rude opened the show against Koko B. Ware. Rude easily spoiled Koko's ICW debut as after a top rope knee drop and a Rude Awakening he got the pin with a piledriver.
Rikidozan made short work of Ox Baker and battered him with chops to get the pin.
Two of the biggest men in ICW almost hit the time limit in a great contest. Don Leo Jonathan held the upper hand the majority of the match but Don Muraco never stopped fighting. Both men racked up numerous two counts. Muraco took over with the Asiatic Spike and then the Hawaiian Hammer got him the win.
Jim Brunzell faced Buff Bagwell one-on-one after his partner B. Brian Blair was injured by him last week. Brunzell was all over Buff and hit him off the top rope. A flying headscissors and then his patented Dropkick finished the match.
Gorgeous George got a rematch with Sandman after being knocked out of the TV title tournament last week. It was more of the same as Sandman blasted George outside the ring and was eventually DQed.
Bruiser Brody got his time on the mic and let fans know his agenda. "First and foremost Bobby Heenan and all his men will feel a lot of pain when I get done with them. Harley Race! You are first on the list. Nick Bockwinkel! I haven't forgotten you or that world title you have around your waist. The rest of the ICW better be prepared when I hit the ring at the Royal Rumble. A lot of people are going to go flying out of the ring!"
TV Title Tournament Round 1 Jim Duggan vs. Dick Hutton
Dick Hutton stayed in command most of the time as he went back to mat wrestling whenever in trouble. Duggan fought back time and time again and both nearly came away with a win. Hutton hit a backbreaker and then the Oklahoma Sideroll eliminated Duggan from the tournament.
TV Title Tournament Round 1 Steve Williams vs. Konnan
Dr. Death easily stormed his way past Konnan. After crushing the Mexican with a lariat, backdrop driver and powerboms he put him away with the Oklahoma Stampede. Dr. Death will take on the Sandman in the second round.
The Bolsheviks took on the Iron Sheik & Sabu in the main event. Ivan Koloff and Nikolai Volkoff took over against Sabu. Volkoff got his hands on former partner the Iron Sheik and completely destroyed him. Volkoff nailed the ex-IC champ with his Backbreaker Drop twice. The Iron Sheik escaped and tagged Sabu, who forced Koloff to submit in the Camel Clutch.
Next week in Thailand: Don Leo Jonathan vs. George Hackenschmidt Jim Brunzell vs. Konnan Nikolai Volkoff vs. Terrible Turk (TV Title Tourney Rd. 1) Bob Orton Jr. vs. Sabu (TV Title Tourney Rd. 1) Rikidozan vs. Sheik Ivan Koloff vs. Iron Sheik Steve Williams & Ted DiBiase vs. Harley Race & Rick Rude Bobo Brazil, Bruiser Brody & Jimmy Snuka vs. Vachons & Nick Bockwinkel

ICW Impact #55 Thailand January 15, 2118
Don Leo Jonathan and George Hackenschmidt opened the show. It was DLJ taking control and out-muscling the Russian. Jonathan put away the former world champion with the Mormon Swing, and then was attacked by Ivan Koloff & Nikolai Volkoff - the Bolsheviks! Hackenschmidt left the ring with them.
Jumping Jim Brunzell took on the partner of Buff Bagwell after Brian Blair had been injured following a tag match two weeks ago in Mongolia. Konnan quickly put Brunzell down with a sit out facebuster and then hit the 187. The Tequila Sunrise finished this match in short fashion.
Intercontinental champion Johnny Valentine was interviewed. "I'm ready to defend this belt against anybody deemed an appropriate challenger, especially the man I beat for the belt the Iron Sheik. It's only a couple weeks until the Royal Rumble and it's going to be an honor to battle the best this sport has to offer."
The Iron Sheik then confronted Valentine and demanded a title match. Valentine said no problem but the two were separated before anything else happened and title match was announced for next week.
TV Title Tournament Rd. 1 Nikolai Volkoff vs. Terrible Turk
Volkoff and Ivan Koloff have put themselves square in the face of the Grand Wizard's contingent of wrestlers since joining ICW. The two brawled back and forth with each man able to pound the other one down. The Turk ended up getting DQed for not releasing his Stranglehold. Volkoff will face Dick Hutton in the second round.
TV Title Tournament Rd. 1 Bob Orton Jr. vs. Sabu
Orton kept Sabu down with suplexes, piledrivers and the atomic drop. Sabu rallied as he usually does on the outside. Sabu was DQed after using a chair given to him by the Grand Wizard.
The Grand Wizard had all of his men in action tonight and was there with the Sheik against Rikidozan. The Sheik battered the big Japanese on the floor but Dozan came back with powerful chops and slams. He pinned the Sheik after an elbow off the second rope.
The Iron Sheik locked up with Ivan Koloff. This one was a great battle with the Iron Sheik using multiple suplexes while Koloff used his power and repeated backbreakers. As the match went on the Turk, Sheik and Sabu all came out and circled the ring. Sabu sent Koloff flying off the top rope while the referee was distracted. Koloff still fought back but the Iron Sheik got the win with the Camel Clutch.
Ted DiBiase & Steve Williams went up against Harley Race & Rick Rude. This was an amazing tag match as Rude took the punishment early on. Later it was DiBiase fighting to make the tag. Race couldn't put him away wiht the piledriver and soon all four men were battling it out in the ring and a double DQ was called.
The main event was a six-man tag with Bruiser Brody, Jimmy Snuka & Bobo Brazil against world champion Nick Bockwinkel & the I-C tag champs the Vachons. Brody brawled with all three Heenan Family members before Snuka got the tag and creamed Bockwinkel off the top out to the floor. Bobo battered the champion with head butts but Heenan distracted the ref. Brody leveled the Butcher off the ropes and got the pin but a pier-sixer broke out. Harley Race and Rick Rude ran into the ring and ganged up on Brody briefly before being ran off.
Next week in Egypt: Rikidozan vs. Don Muraco Ivan Koloff vs. Terrible Turk Koko B. Ware vs. Ox Baker (TV Tourney Rd. 1) Buff Bagwell vs. Ted DiBiase (TV Tourney Rd. 1) Steve Williams vs. Harley Race Jimmy Snuka vs. Rick Rude Johnny Valentine (I-C CH) vs. Iron Sheik Vachons (I-C Tag CH) vs. Sheik & Sabu (Falls Count Anywhere)

ICW Impact #56 Egypt January 22, 2118
Rikidozan and Don Muraco kicked off Impact. It was a tough, back and forth fight, before Rikidozan started to take charge. Muraco battled back often but the Hiplock took Rikidozan to the win.
Ivan Koloff was all over the Terrible Turk. The Russian was relentless and the Grand Wizard had to interfere to save the Turk. Koloff won with a falling face slam.
TV Title Tourney Rd. 1 Koko B. Ware vs. Ox Baker
The power of Baker easily took him to a win. Koko generated very little offense and was hammered with powerful clotheslines. The Heart Punch put Baker into the second round against Don Leo Jonathan.
TV Title Tourney Rd. 1 Buff Bagwell vs. Ted DiBiase
Bagwell took over and looked really good at the start. After some brawling outside DiBiase rallied with his loaded glove and figure four. Bagwell survived but another shot with the glove and the Figure Four put DiBiase into the next round against Bob Orton Jr.
George Hackenschmidt was asked about why he wasn't there for a six-man tag team title match last week in the USWA. He said he was tired of Ed Lewis and Jim Londos and is now working with his countrymen Ivan Koloff and Nikolai Volkoff. Hackenschmidt said he will be at the Royal Rumble if one of them wants meet him in the ring.
Dr. Death Steve Williams gave Harley Race a tough fight. Race pulled out the win with a Piledriver.
Jimmy Snuka battled Ravishing Rick Rude. Both were hitting some big moves. Snuka avoided being counted out but the Superfly Leap gave him the win.
Johnny Valentine defended the I-C title in a rematch from Starrcade with the Iron Sheik. It was an even fight with brawling in and out of the ring. The Grand Wizard kept the match going but Valentine's repeated Atomic Skullcrushers gave him the win.
A wild and crazy Falls Count Anywhere match was the main event with the I-C tag team champions the Vachons taking on the Sheik & Sabu. This one was all over the place. The Vachons took the fight right at them and won most of the brawls on the floor. The Sheik was finally pinned after unbelievable punishment with an airplane spin as the Vachons retained the titles.
Some of the ICW superstars signed for the Royal Rumble were announced: Harley Race, Rick Rude, Bruiser Brody and Jimmy Snuka!
A match between George Hackenschmidt and Ed "Strangler" Lewis was also confirmed for the Royal Rumble next Sunday!

The final Impact before the Royal Rumble. Koko B. Ware got the fans charged up with a huge win over Konnan after the Ghostbuster.
Next the Sandman and Hacksaw Jim Duggan battled in and out of the ring. Duggan came close to winning on several occasions but the Sandman came out on top after a DDT.

Gorgeous George took on the turncoat George Hackenschmidt and had the fans firmly behind him on this occasion. Hackenschmidt never got on track and Gorgeous George came away with the win. Hackenschmidt attacked him after the bell and locked on the Russian Bear Hug and left George laying in the ring.
The Killer Bees gave Rick Rude & Harley Race a tough fight. Race got the win for the Heenan Family duo with the piledriver.

I have used her battle royal rules before. I'll think about using them for this or go with my own way of doing things and maybe the chart in the Ringside Companion.

The first ever Royal Rumble is here in Anchorage, Alaska! Thirty men from both the ICW and USWA will draw numbers to determine the order they will enter the ring with another man joining the fray every two minutes.
As fans were getting settled they enjoyed a womens dark match between Reggie Bennett and Madusa Miceli. The awesome power of Bennett dominated this one as Madusa struggled to find any offense. Bennett couldn't get the win even after a top rope splash. Madusa showed power of her own with a back suplex on the outside. Madusa pulled out the win with a roll up in the corner and her feet on the ropes.
USWA Glory hosted the preshow to the Royal Rumble. From ICW the Killer Bees faced Buff Bagwell and Konnan, the men who injured Brian Blair a few weeks ago. The Bees attacked before the bell and worked over Konnan with a double elbow smash. Brunzell hit a dive to the floor sending Konnan crashing into the railing. Konnan finally got away after hitting Brunzell of the ropes. Blair quickly got a tag but Bagwell hit a double axe off the ropes and scored a quick pin on Blair.
The Royal Rumble opened with an USWA bracket world TV title tournament match between Bob Armstrong and Killer Kowalski. Kowalski looked to win in quick fashion with an elbow smash and clothesline off the second rope. After being slammed on the floor Armstrong avoided being counted out. Armstrong rallied with chops and the sleeper. It was back and forth until both men went down off the ropes. Armstrong slapped on the Figure Four and got the submission to advance in the tournament and will face Danny Hodge in the semifinals of the USWA bracket.
The ICW TV title tournament match was Ted DiBiase against his former employee in the Million $ Team Bob Orton Jr. The match started with a brawl on the floor. DiBiase used his black glove off the second rope and secured a fast pin on Orton and will now meet either Don Leo Jonathan or Ox Baker.
Ed "Strangler" Lewis looked for payback against George Hackenschmidt who no-showed a six-man tag title defense, leaving him and Jim Londos alone to lose the belts to the Dream Team and Jimmy Valiant. Lewis took over with a full nelson and neck snap but Hackenschmidt came back on the floor. Hack powered to a surprisingly easy win with the Bear Hug and then the Bolsheviks rushed in the ring and triple teamed Lewis.
Nikolai Volkoff returned to ICW with Ivan Koloff to help him against the Iron Sheik. Iron Sheik tried to use a chair before the match but it was Volkoff blasting him with it. Volkoff nailed him with a shoulder block off the middle rope and knocked out referee Tommy Young. Volkoff hammered his former partner with his fininsiher but got a win by D.Q. when the Grand Wizard attacked him outside the ring. Ivan Koloff came out again and help work over the Iron Sheik.
Up next was a Triple Threat Match between Giant Baba/Antonio Inoki, the Midnight Express and the Kangaroos. With Baba and Al Costello both down Stan Lane landed a superkick on Baba. Al used the Greek Cross on Lane but Baba saved the pin. Inoki took over on Lane then a three way brawl broke out. The Kangaroos hit the Boomerang to put away Bobby Eaton.
An Interpromotional challenge match put the U.S. tag champs Ilio DiPaolo & Antonino Rocca against I-C tag champs the Vachons. The Butcher took a beating after a dropkick by Ilio and a somersault off the apron but was not counted out. Rocca took over but Butcher got the tag after a figure four by Ilio. The match was back and forth and Ilio almost won with a small package. Rocca had the backbreaker on Mad Dog and the Butcher stormed in and was D.Q.ed.
The 2/3 Falls match between world tag team champions the Road Warriors and the Destroyer/Dan Severn combination was one of the greatest matches in wrestling history. The LOD had won by D.Q. and by C.O. in previous encounters.
The Destroyer took over on Hawk in the corner and used the boston crab and suplexes. Severn battered Hawk with firemans carry slam. Hawk fought back on the outside but the LOD didn't seem together in this one as they usually are. Animal power bombed Severn hit a flying shoulder ram before both men went down in the corner. A power slam and double sledge hammer off the ropes had Hawk in trouble and then the Figure Four by the Destroyer won the first fall.
Destroyer tried to put Hawk away again but hit the referee off the top rope. The masked man laid into Hawk with the referee out of it. Animal got back in with the ref on his feet and a spike pilderiver on Destroyer. Outside Severn came back and put the bow and arrow on Hawk with Animal making the save. Hawk made the tag but Animal missed his charge in the corner. Severn back suplexed him off the top rope and planted him with a firemans carry slam.
Animal rallied with a press slam and power slam off the 2nd rope on Severn. Severn came back on the floor and the Destroyer put the Figure Four on Animal but Hawk saved the titles again. Animal got up first after a double clothesline but Severn caught him with a piledriver. Paul Ellering kept the LOD in the match after the Wakigatame. A double boston crab on Animal still didn't get a submission. Animal caught the Destroyer with a power slam and the LOD somehow were able to hit the Doomsday Device to even the match at one fall apiece.
The Road Warriors tried to pull off the Decapitator but Destroyer got off of Animal's shoulders and both LOD members went down. Destroyer couldn't finish Animal off and Hawk came in. They spilled to the outside and the LOD leveled him with a double clotheseline.
The Destroyer came off the top rope with a dropkick and applied the boston crab. Severn then laid Hawk out one last time with the firemans carry slam and got the pin to win the world tag team titles!
Up next is the Royal Rumble!

ICW Impact #58 Victoria, British Columbia February 5, 2118
The first Impact following the Royal Rumble. Fans were not happy to watch a video highlight of ICW's own the Sheik as he won the Royal Rumble match.
Gorgeous George & Koko B. Ware opened the show against Buff Bagwell & Konnan. George took a beating from both opponents. After Buff missed a charge and fell to the outside Koko planted him with the Ghostbuster twice to win the match.
Another great tag match followed with the Killer Bees against Don Muraco & Bob Orton Jr. It was back and forth for nearly 20 minutes. The Bees found themselves down and in trouble but Brunzell made the switch with Blair and hit Muraco with a dropkick to steal the win.
TV Title Tourney Rd. 2 Nikolai Volkoff vs. Dick Hutton
Volkoff attacked at the bell and hammered Hutton on the outside. He nailed Hutton with a shoulder block off the second rope and Hutton was caught up in the ropes. Volkoff wouldn't let up and the referee was forced to disqualify the Russian.
TV Title Tourney Rd. 2 Don Leo Jonathan vs. Ox Baker
This match almost went the time limit as the two big men just pounded back and forth on each other but never kept the other down for very long. Both came close to being DQed but it was Jonathan winning the match after a swinging full nelson. Jonathan will meet Ted DiBiase next week in the semifinals.
TV Title Tourney Rd. 2 Steve Williams vs. Sandman
This one didn't last long as Dr. Death took over with a football tackle and power bomb. Sandman went to the outside and blasted Williams with a steel chair and was DQed. Williams will take on Hutton next week.
Hacksaw Jim Duggan went up against the turncoat Russian George Hackenschmidt. It was a wild brawl most of the match until Hackenschmidt finished off Duggan with a heel hook.
Ivan Koloff's string of bad luck continued against the Rumble winner the Sheik. The Sheik attacked before the bell and the fight spilled outside where Koloff got the upper hand. Koloff then missed a second rope clothesline and the Sheik got a quick pin.
The main event almost didn't get started as Heenan Family members Harley Race, Rick Rude and the Vachons started an uncontrollable brawl with Rikidozan, Bobo Brazil, Jimmy Snuka and Bruiser Brody. Somehow the ref started the match and Brody landed the Knee Drop to pin Rude while the other six men were battling around the arena.
Before the show ended a pair of big announcements were made. First, the finals of the World Television Title Tournament will take place at Saturday Night's Main Event on February 26. The winner of the ICW tournament will meet the USWA representative for the title.
Second, a special one-night event called the Champions Cup will take place at the end of the month. Sixteen men, all former or current champions in ICW or the USWA will be selected to participate. First tag team partners will be randomly paired together. The winning teams will then be placed into an eight-man tournament with the first round matches being randomly determined. The winner will take home the Champions Cup.
Next week in Calgary, Alberta Canada: Koko B. Ware vs. Buff Bagwell Gorgeous George vs. Sandman Steve Williams vs. Dick Hutton (TV Tourney) Ted DiBiase vs. Don Leo Jonathan (TV Tourney) The Russians vs. Sheik, Sabu & Terrible Turk Rikidozan vs. Rick Rude Bobo Brazil vs. Harley Race Jimmy Snuka & Bruiser Brody vs. Vachons (non-title, Steel Cage Match)

ICW Impact #59 Calgary, Alberta February 12, 2118
After last week's tag team victory, Koko B. Ware took on Buff Bagwell in singles competition. Bagwell wiped the mat with the Birdman, hitting the Blockbuster and then getting the pin after a dropkick.
Last month the Sandman eliminated Gorgeous George from the World TV Title tournament in the first round. The following week George got a win by D.Q. These two went at it again and after going back and forth the Sandman used the DDT and then the cane to score the win.
TV Title Tourney Semifinals Steve Williams vs. Dick Hutton
These two technically sound competitors faced off for a chance to reach the finals of the tourney. Hutton at first enjoyed the advantage but the power of Dr. Death turned the tide. A power bomb set up the Oklahoma Stampde for the win.
TV Title Tourney Semifinals Ted DiBiase vs. Don Leo Jonathan
A win by DiBiase would put him up against his partner Dr. Death in the finals. Don Leo Jonathan made it easy on him by not letting that happen. Jonathan controlled the bout that saw fighting in and out of the ring. A rolling back splash and the giant swing sent Jonathan to the finals next week.
The Russians (Ivan Koloff, Nikolai Volkoff, George Hackenschmidt) and the Terrorists (Sheik, Sabu, Terrible Turk) battled in a great six-man tag team match. Ivan Koloff pinned the Turk after a falling face slam.
Rikidozan took over on Ravishing Rick Rude until things spilled to the floor. Rude made it a short night after picking up a win by D.Q.
Bobo Brazil and Harley Race battled in an excellent top contenders match. Bobo took over and Heenan had to save his man on two occasions. Race fought back and scored the pin with a piledriver.
The main event took place inside the Steel Cage in a non-title match with the I-C tag champs the Vachons against Bruiser Brody & Jimmy Snuka. The Butcher was double teamed and after the Superfly Leap Mad Dog made the save. The Vachons had Brody in trouble for awhile but Snuka came in with a headbutt off the top rope to pin the Butcher.
Fans were told of some ICW competitors who will be involved in the Champions CupTournament later this month. Intercontinental champion Johnny Valentine, Harley Race and the Sheik will be among the participants.
Next week in Edmonton, Alberta: Jim Duggan vs. Ox Baker George Hackenschmidt vs. Iron Sheik Ted DiBiase vs. Sandman Bolsheviks vs. Sabu & Terrible Turk Bruiser Brody vs. Rick Rude Don Leo Jonathan vs. Steve Williams (TV Tourney Finals) Bobo Brazil vs. The Sheik Vachons (I-C CH) vs. Don Muraco & Bob Orton Jr.

ICW Impact #60 Edmonton, Alberta February 19, 2118
Ox Baker and Hacksaw Jim Duggan started the show with a slugfest. Baker connected with the Heart Punch to get the victory.
George Hackenschmidt took over against the Iron Sheik. After the bear hug and ramming Iron Sheik into the ring post Hackenschmidt took the win. Out of nowhere the Sheik & Sabu stormed the ring and a triple team beat down of the Russian ensued and he was left laying.
Ted DiBiase never gave the Sandman a chance to come back. After a top rope sunset flip a shot with the loaded glove and then the Figure Four ended the match.
The Bolsheviks and the Sabu & Terrible Turk wasted no time in going at it after they had injured Hackenschmidt earlier. It was nothing but a pier sixer that resulted in a double DQ.
Bruiser Brody and Rick Rude fought toe to toe before Brody finally took over. A big clothesline and then the Knee Drop gave Brody the win.
TV Title Tourney Final Don Leo Jonathan vs. Steve Williams
The final of the ICW TV title tournament was a classic. Jonathan wrestled probably the best match of his career and kept Dr. Death from hitting any of his big power moves. After nearly winning by count out Jonathan got the victory with the Mormon Swing. Jonathan now will be at Saturday Night's Main Event next week to meet the winner of the USWA portion of the World TV Title Tournament to determine the first champion.
Bobo Brazil and the Sheik fought one on one for the first time in a very long time and it was the same as if the feud had never stopped. Bobo landed his big head butts while the Sheik fought outside every chance he got. A hammer punch gave Bobo the pin but Sabu & the Terrible Turk dove in the ring and once again they tripled teamed a man and Bobo had to be carried from the ring.
Before the main event, the commissioner came out and reacted to the attacks made by the Grand Wizard's men here tonight. The Sheik, Sabu and the Turk are all suspended! The Sheik will not receive an Intercontinental title match next week at Saturday Night's Main Event. Johnny Valentine will defend the title against an opponent to be determined.
Bobby Heenan's I-C tag champs the Vachons defended against Lou Albano's Don Muraco & Bob Orton Jr. The champions came very close to losing the belts they've held for nine months.
Muraco used the Asiatic Spike on both Vachons. The challengers kept one man isolated for long periods of time and dealt out punishment to both most of the match. Heenan stopped the count after the Hawaiian Hammer on Mad Dog. The match ended when Orton slammed into the corner and Butcher made the cover for a three-count to escape with the titles.
Before Saturday Night's Main Event the Champions Cup Tournament will take place on February 23 in St. Paul, MN. Taking part from ICW will be Johnny Valentine, Ox Baker, Bobo Brazil, Gorgeous George, Iron Sheik, Harley Race. Replacements for George Hackenschmidt and the Sheik will need to be signed.
Next week on Saturday Night's Main Event:
A rematch between I-C tag team champions the Vachons and Don Muraco & Bob Orton Jr.
Johnny Valentine will defend the I-C title.
The finals of the World Television Title Tournament.
Bruiser Brody against world champion Nick Bockwinkel in a non-title match.

Saturday Night's Main Event Saskatoon, Saskatchewan February 26, 2118
A huge, television special with three championship matches was presented by ICW.
Vachons (I-C Tag CH) vs. Bob Orton Jr. & Don Muraco
The feud between Bobby Heenan and Lou Albano continued in the opening contest with the Brain's I-C tag champs the Vachons against Orton & Muraco. The match was a solid tag team encounter, going back and forth. Muraco got the Hawaiian Hammer on the Butcher and Mad Dog came in. He missed and nailed his own partner. With Mad Dog dumped outside and Albano taking care of Heenan, Muraco landed his finisher again to pin the Butcher and win the Intercontinental tag team titles! A nine-month reign with the belts by the Vachons comes to an end.
Johnny Valentine (I-C CH) vs. Rick Rude
Johnny Valentine takes over the match and hands out a good beating to the Ravishing One. Rude comes back for brief moments and pulled out the Rude Awakening but couldn't get the three. Valentine uses the Atomic Skullcrusher to put away Rude and retain the title.
World Television Title Tournament Final Don Leo Jonathan vs. Buddy Rose
Thirty two men started out in a quest to become the first world tv champion -- 16 in ICW and 16 in the USWA. It came down to Don Leo Jonathan and Buddy Rose. The Playboy didn't take advantage of his opportunity as DLJ put him down right away and won the match and the title with the Mormon Swing.
Bruiser Brody vs. Nick Bockwinkel
Brody was ready to get his hands on the world champion in this non-title encounter. The match barely got underway before both men were fighting in the aisles. Brody was quickly DQed and continued fighting all the way into the back.
Next week on ICW Impact from Winnipeg, Manitoba: Bolsheviks vs. Ox Baker & Sandman Jim Duggan vs. Konnan Killer Bees vs. Gorgeous George & Koko B. Ware Ted DiBiase vs. Buff Bagwell Rikidozan vs. Iron Sheik Bruiser Brody & Johnny Valentine vs. Harley Race & Rick Rude Jimmy Snuka, Don Muraco & Bob Orton Jr. (Albano's Army) vs. Vachons & Nick Bockwinkel (Heenan Family)

Saturday Night's Main Event was great. I think itt's cool how Muraco and Orton Jr took the IC Tag belts from the Vachons. I only breifly teamed Muraco and Orton Jr in my fed and they struggled-but reading your results is making me think of teaming them back up again soon.

Thanks Mr. V. Muraco & Orton were probably a short-lived tag team in real life. I always remember them at Mania III against the Can-Am Connection. I couldn't get Muraco to do anything in singles so I teamed him up for a time and they ended a long title run by the Vachons.

ICW Impact #62 Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada March 5, 2118
Everyone in the world of professional wrestling is now on the Road to Wrestlemania!!!
Bolsheviks vs. Ox Baker & Sandman
The Russians didn't let up for an instance in the opening contest. They double teamed Ox Baker and kept Sandman from ever getting in the ring.
Jim Duggan vs. Konnan
The man who stands for the red, white and blue ran right over the Mexican superstar.
Killer Bees vs. Gorgeous George & Koko B. Ware
The Bees really cleaned house in this one. The Bee Sting on George got them the win.
Ted DiBiase vs. Buff Bagwell
Bagwell exploded at the start and had DiBiase in all kinds of trouble. Then Buff got DQed.
Rikidozan vs. Iron Sheik The Japanese superstar saw his recent good run stopped after the Camel Clutch.
Bruiser Brody & Johnny Valentine vs. Harley Race & Rick Rude
Race & Rude put a hurting on Brody before Johnny V. got some shots in. The Heenan Family team couldn't contain an incensed Brody as the wild man got DQed.

Another meeting between Albano's Army and the Heenan Family. Bockwinkel got the win by using the Figure Four and the Sleeper on the Superfly.
