'Slams' LWF

I won't have the time to put in lots of detail like some of you more dedicated folks but I'll get the basic results.

Comissioner Carter annouces the following teams which will compete in Wargames 1.

Team Gotch - Frank Gotch(capt), Buddy Rogers, Johnny Valentine, Greg Valentine, Johnny Valiant, Jimmy Valiant.

Team Brazil - Bobo Brazil(capt), Giant Baba, The Destroyer, Brutus Beefcake, Hawk, Animal.

Team DiBiase - Ted DiBiase(capt), King Kong Bundy, Virgil, Buddy Rose, Nikolai Volkoff, Iron Sheik.

Team Duggan - Jim Duggan(capt), Killer Kowalski, Koko B Ware, Cowboy Hutton, Jim Brunzell, Brian Blair.

Team Race - Harly Race(capt), Nick Bockwinkel, Bob Orton Jr., Gorgeous George, Stan lane, Bobby Eaton.

Team Mascaras - Mascaras(capt), Snuka, D L Jonathan, Ilio DiPaolo, Red Bastein, Billy Red Lyons.

Team Gotch will compete against Team Brazil, Team DiBiase will compete against Team Duggan and Team Race will compete against Team Mascaras.

The first Wargames of the LWF will take place over 25 cards with the team getting the most points being victorious. Commisioner Carter has promised that losing teams will face penalties and that there will be unannounced twists and turn so stay tuned folks.

Sabu pins Baker in a no DQ match.

Midnight Express pin Lyons/Bastein with the VEG-O-MATIC
D L Jonathan beats Bob Orton Jr by DQ
Snuka beats Bockwinkel by DQ
Race beats DiPaolo with a PILEDRIVER
Mascaras defeats George with a FLYING BODYPRESS

Volkoff/Sheik defeat the Bees by DQ
Hutton deteats Bundy by DQ
Kowalski pins Buddy Rose
Duggan beats Virgil by DQ
DiBiase defeats Koko B Ware with the MILLION DOLLAR SLEEPER

Valiants defeat the Road Warriors with the TOPE ROPE ELBOW (Warriors dominated with the Valiants only mounting a small attack at the beginning they rallied at the end to stun the Warriors who looked visably shocked in a very dramatic match).
J Valentine defeated The Destroyer by pinfall
G Valentine beat Bobo Brazil by DQ
Rogers beat Baba by DQ
Beefcake stuns Gotch in the upset of the night by pinfall.

LWF Wargames 1 card #2
The evening opens with Bill Apter introducing Frank Gotch on 'Hotseat'.
Gotch comes out to a crescendo of boos. As Gotch tries to explain his embaressing defeat to Beefcake the week before he's interupted by constant chants of 'loser!' Gotch becomes irrate and grabs Apter by the collar and tells him how he will dismantle Baba later on in the evening and stomps off the set.

HARDCORE division match:
Sandman defeats Baker in a cage match after using a SINGAPORE CANE undetected in the corner.

Midnight Express + Gorgeous George defeat Lyons/Bastein + DiPaolo in a 3 man tag when Lyons was pinned after a ROCKET LAUNCHER.
D L Jonathan beats Nick Bockwinkel by DQ
Race and Snuka didn't even reach the ring and after a brawl the match was declared a double DQ
Mascaras defeated Cowboy Bob Orton after a FLYING BODYPRESS

Volkoff/Sheik defeated the Bees with a CAMEL CLUTCH ON BRIAN BLAIR
Virgil defeated Koko B Ware with a COBRA CLUTCH
Buddy Rose defeated Cowboy Hutton with a BOMBS AWAY
Duggan defeated King Kong Bundy by DQ when Virgil interfered
Kowalski Defeated ted DiBiase with the CLAW HOLD

The Road Warriors + Destroyer defeated The Valiants + Greg Valentine in an excellent 3 man tag match which swayed back and forth. The Destroyer made Greg Valentine Submit with a FIGURE FOUR LEGHOLD after outside interference from the Valiants backfired!
Bobo Brazil pinned Johnny Valentine
Baba pinned current LWF Champ Gotch which left Gotch embarrased again and leaving the arena to taunts of 'Loser!'

The night ends with Commissioner Carter coming out to announce that 3 title matches will take place on the next card:
LWF Champion Gotch will defend against #2 contender Bobo Brazil.
The Vacant LWF Tag Titles will be contested by the #1 + #2 contenders - The Midnight Express vrs The Killer Bees. Wargames points are still on the line.
The first ever LWF Hardcore Champion will be crowned. Sabu will take on The Sandman in a special match yet to be announced.

LWF Wargames Card#3

The evening starts out with Commissioner Carter in the centre of the ring announcing that the following LWF Hardcore Championship matchup will be a Last Man Standing Match. The winner will make history by becoming the first LWF Hardcore Champion.

LWF Hardcore Title Match - Last Man Standing.The Sandman defeated Sabu in an amazing match which saw Sabu mount a formidable early attack (which had Sabu 7-1 up in tokens) only for the Sandman to rally back and become the Last Man Standing and the first LWF Hardcore champion (Sandman won 10 - 7 in tokens).[/color]

Lyons/Bastein beat Volkoff/Sheik when Bastein pinned Volkoff.

Ilio DiPaolo defeated Cowboy Bob Orton with an AIRPLANE SPIN.
Gorgeous George pinned D L Jonathan.
Race defeated Snuka with a PILEDRIVER in a no DQ match.
Mascaras defeated Bockwinkel with a FLYING BODYPRESS.
LWF Tag Team Title Match[/color]The Midnight Express defeated The Killer Bees when Eaton pinned Brunzell.

Bundy defeated Koko B Ware with an AVALANCHE
Kowalski defeated Virgil with a CLAW HOLD
Duggan defeated Buddy Rose with a FLYING TACKLE
DiBiase made short work of Cowboy Hutton with the MILLION DOLLAR SLEEPER.

Hawk defeated Johnny Valiant by DQ
Animal beat Jimmy Valiant by DQ
G Valentine defeated Giant Baba by DQ
Johnny Valentine defeated Beefcake by pin
Rogers left the arena dodging debris and to the deafening noise of catcalls and boos when he pinned The Destroyer with the help of the ropes.
color=Navy]LWF Heavyweight [Title Match[/color]Bobo Brazil recaptured his crown to become a 2 time LWF Heavyweight Champion when he eventually pinned Gotch after several failed attempts with a COCO BUTT. Gotch once again left the arena to the chants of 'Loser!'

The evening end with Commissioner Carter striding towards the ring looking somewhat cross!
He acknowledges the crowds disatifaction at how the Team Gotch vrs Team Brazil matchups overall ended up finishing in a disatifactory manner. With half of them ending in a DQ and one finishing in a controversial manner and generally many fueds sprouting from all over the place Carter announces that both teams will face each other in an elimination cage match on the next card!

LWF Wargames 1 Card #4

Lyons/Bastein+D L Jonathan defeated The Midnight Express+Cowboy Bob Orton when Lyons put Eaton out with a SLEEPER.
Bockwinkel defeated Ilio DiPaolo by way of DQ
Snuka defeated George with a SUPERFLY LEAP in a hard fought contest.
Race defeated Mil Mascaras by DQ in a match which Mascaras was firmly in control of.

The Bees defeated Volkoff/Sheik when B.Brian Blair pinned Volkoff.
Kowalski defeated Bundy despite interferance by Virgil at ringside.
Koko B Ware defeated Buddy Rose with a superb perfomance which ended in a GHOSTBUSTER.
Virgil shocked Hutton by pinning him.
DiBiase made short work of Duggan which ended in a pinfall and puts DiBiase in strong contention for a shot at the LWF Heavyweight belt. DiBiase is currently ranked 3rd.

Main Event Of the evening - Team Gotch Vrs Team Brazil in a Cage Elimination Match.
LWF Wargames 1 rules:
Each man to escape wins 2pts for his team.
Each man that fails to escape wins no pts.
The winning team wins a bonus pt for his team.

Buddy Rogers who has looked increasing impressive in recent weeks escaped from Hawk
Greg Valentine escaped from Beefcake

Hawk escaped from Johnny Valentine when Animal tagged him in for THE DOOMSDAY DEVICE
Johnny Valentine escaped from Giant Baba to win the first big team challenge against Team Brazil for Team Gotch.

Promoters note - Although I don't have a system for rating my cards, this one was one of the best I've had in a long time. The standard of the matches was very high!

Hardcore Chain Match
Sabu defeated Baker by pin

George made DiPaolo submit
The Midnight Express looked very impressive as a team and were victorious over Lyons/Bastien after Lane pinned Lyons
Snuka defeated Cowboy Bob Orton by DQ
D L Jonathan pinned Harley Race after delivering a MORMON SWING
Mascaras dominated Bockwinkel and finished him with a FLYING BODYPRESS

Koko B Ware pinned Virgil after executing his GHOSTBUSTER
Hutton was firmly in control over the Iron Shiek and won by DQ when Breznikov jumped from the top rope to break a pin attempt which injured Hutton for 1 fight card
Duggan dominated Buddy Rose and pinned him after a FLYING SPEAR
Bundy struggled against Brian Blair which saw Virgil interfering but finished with Blair being disqualified
Volkov executed his BACKBREAKER DROP on Killer Kowalski against the run of play and interference from Breznikov to get the victory.
Dibiase made very short work of Brunzell finishing him with his MILLION DOLLAR DREAM

Greg Valentine pinned Beefcake
Johnny Valentine and Baba fought to a double DQ outside of the ring
The Destroyer rallied back from an early onslaught by Gotch in which he kicked out and broke Gotch's submission holds on high token scores to slap on his own FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK for the victory.
Brazil and the Road Warriors defeated Buddy Rodgers and The Valiants by DQ

LWF Wargames Card #6

Dibiase opens the show by appearing on Bill Apters 'Hotseat'. In the interview DiBiase tells Apter how he is going to soon become LWF champ and how his team will be victorious over Team Duggan but there is one thorn in his side from his otherwise unblemished Wargames record and that is Killer Kowalski. He tells Apter that tonight he is going to put that straight.

Lyons/bastein defeated the Midnight Express in a tag elimination match. Eaton was eliminated first when he was caught interfering with an illegal object and the ref sent him to the locker room. Stan Lane was eliminated when Bastein executed his ATOMIC DROP.
Race defeated DiPaolo in a best of 3 falls match when Race wore down his opponent he executed 2 successive PILEDRIVERS for 2 successive pins.
Snuka escaped from the cage after delivering a SUPERFLY LEAP on Nick Bockwinkel.
D L Jonathan bested Cowboy B Orton with a MORMON SWING
Mascaras made short work of G. George after a series of CROSSBODY ATTACKS

Virgil pinned Koko B Ware in a closely fought contest
Volkoff/Sheik + Rose were outsmarted by the Killer Bees when Brunzell made a switch at a key moment in the match and Blair went on to pin Rose with a BEE STING
Duggan pinned Bundy after a lot of back and forth action on the lower levels of offense. However there were some high spots in the match.
DiBiase felt the fury of Kowalski when he was forced to submit with the CLAWHOLD applied to him. These two are set to fued for many weeks to come as DiBiase looked dazed in the ring but vowed revenge.

Greg Valentine defeated The Destroyer in a best of 3 falls match by 2-0 with 2 FIGUREFOUR LEGLOCKS.
Johnny Valentine eventually pinned Giant Baba after wearing him down and Baba had accumulated 8 tokens with his signiture ATOMIC SKULLCRUSHER.
The Valiants defeated The Road Warriors when Jimmy Valiant pinned Animal in a Falls Count Anywhere match.
Brutus Beefcake had to helped out of ringside after Gotch defeated him in a finisher match. Gotch consistently appied his rolling kneebar to soften Beefcake up for his GOTCH TOEHOLD.
Rogers defeated current LWF Champion Bobo Brazil with his FIGUREFOUR GRAPEVINE in a non title match which now give him a valid shout at Brazil's belt however Gotch is the No1 contender, will this create friction inside Team Gotch?

I'm just putting a message on this thread because I'll be posting the last set of results for the first Wargames finale.
All fueding teams will face each other in a survivour series type match, there are no DQ's or count outs. Each pin or submission will count for 2pts with the winning team earning 2 bonus pts!
Commissioner Carter walks out stating that all future LWF matchs will only be viewed on Pay Per View (COTG Online Stat Tracker - due to time constraints of typing up the results).
