International Amphitheatre Arena Show: 3/24/06: Chicago, Illinois
Buddy Rose d. Iron Mike Dibiase by DQ This was a quick back and forth match. Things spilled to the outside and Dibiase got DQd for using a chair on Rose. **
Killer Bees d. the Flying Redheads w/ a double atomic drop This was a great back and forth tag match. The Bees dominated much of the match as they made a lot of quick tags and used a lot of teamwork. The Redheads looked to be getting an upset but the Bees caught Lyons with a double atomic drop to pick up the win. ***1/4
Ray Stevens d. Danny Hodge w/ a cross body block Heenan got involved here and saved Stevens from getting pinned. Hodge dominated most of the match but Stevens stole a win with a handful of tights. **1/2
Antonino Rocca d. Ted Dibiase by DQ This had just barely gotten started when Virgil got involved and the match was thrown out. 3/4*
Buddy Rogers d. Johnny Valentine w/ the Figure-Four Grapevine The crowd was stunned as Rogers completely dominated Valentine and picked up the win like he had just beaten a jobber. 1/2*
AWA United States Title Match: George Hackenschmidt d. Larry Zbyszko (c) by DQ Zbyszko escaped here by attacking the ref. He could barely stand up to the raw power of Hackenschmidt. *
AWA Tag Team Title Match: the Hennigs (c) d. the Vachons w/ the Hennig-Plex to retain the titles The Vachons just didn't show up for this. Neither got in a move edge wise as the Hennigs just beat the crap out of them. **

NWA World Tag Team Title Match: Harley Race and Nick Bockwinkel (c) d. Road Warriors w/ a choke on the ropes to retain the titles This went pretty much exactly like the Hennigs/Vachons match. The Road Warriors didn't get a move in at all. *1/4
Main Event: AWA Heavyweight Title Match: Jim Londos (c) d. King Kong Bundy w/ the Airplane Spin to retain the title Londos wore Bundy down with a lot of matwork. Antonino Rocca and Danny Hodge d. the Executioners w/ the Argentinian Backbreaker Interesting team up here. Word around the back says that they've grown to respect each other during their intense series of matches over the last 9 months. They decided to see how they'd work as a high flying tag team. They looked good here as they made short work of the Executioners. 1/4*
George Hackenschmidt comes to the ring for an interview. He shows the AWA rulebook about DQs in title matches. He believes that he's entitled to a rematch in St. Paul. the Destroyer d. Keith Green by count out This match was odd in that Green was tossed to the outside and attacked by the Masked Superstar behind the refs back and this counted out. DUD
The Destroyer dives out of the ring and attacks the Masked Superstar. They brawl to the backstage area as security tries to break them up.
