The WWA will debut with a huge weekend extravaganza at the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans, LA. 3 Champions will be crowned this Saturday and Sunday, January 7 & 8th. 50% of all ticket sales will be donated to the Hurricane Katrina relief fund. Legendary R&B singer Fats Domino will sing the National Anthem and members of the NFL's New Orleans Saints will be in attendance as well.
Tickets are on sale now at all Ticketmaster outlets and the Superdome box office!
The official brackets for both HUGE tournaments have been announced and Saturdays' First Round pairings are set. Harley Race, The Road Warriors, Mil Mascaras, Johnny Valentine, The Crusher and many more will be in action.
One intriguing opening round bout in the World Title Tournament will pit Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka against the Magnificent Muraco in a rekindling of sorts of one of pro wrestling's all-time bloodiest feuds.
Also, Bobby "The Brain" Heenan will be a busy man as he leads not only his longtime protege Nick Bockwinkel to the ring in an attempt to become the first ever WWA World Champion, but also his newest signings King Kong Bundy & Masked Superstar whom he will try to take straight to tag team gold.
On Sunday evening, not only will you see the completion of the championship tournaments, but also a 20-man over-the-top-rope battle royal with the winner being declared the first ever United States champion.
And just in, a huge match has been signed for Sunday as two outside stars are being brought in for a special death-defying challenge match. The Suicidal, Homicidal, Genocidal Sabu will square off with international superstar, the dazzling Argentina Rocca.
