The Announcer’s Podium with David Crockett & Tony Schiavone
- Tonight, the Main Event will be a 10-Man Battle Royal for the vacant NWA TV Title…the 10 men set to participate: Bobo Brazil, Harley Race, Frank Gotch, Destroyer, Ted DiBiase, King Kong Bundy, Ox Baker, Don Leo Jonathan, Jim Duggan, and Bruiser Brody

Giant Baba vs. “Delicious” Danny Doring
- It is mentioned that Giant Baba will be facing NWA World Champion, Buddy Rogers in 3 weeks for the World Title
- Buddy Rogers walked out at the beginning of the match, took the mic, and claimed that Doring was his protégé….surprisingly, alongside Rogers, was Curt Hennig
- Doring starts out launching an assault on Baba while he is distracted by Rogers & Hennig
- Baba reverses a whip into the buckles, then sends Doring to the mat with a boot to the face
- Doring fights back, though, with dropkicks, then a headlock
- Baba fights back, and hits the NECKBREAKER DROP…but Hennig and Rogers distract the referee…the ref orders them to leave the ring area
- Baba nails another NECKBREAKER DROP, but Doring is able to kick out
- Baba connects with several high impact moves, then another NECKBREAKER DROP for the pin

Post Match Interview with Giant Baba
- Crockett welcomes Baba and congratulates him on his win over Doring, an apparent protégé of NWA World Champion, Buddy Rogers
- Baba says that he is ready to face Rogers at SuperClash…and that there will be a new World Champion
- Rogers and Hennig walks out to the ring….and start to help Doring to his feet, when all of a sudden, while Hennig is holding up Doring, Rogers smashes him in the face with the World Title Belt!! Hennig then piledrives Doring onto the belt, opening up a huge gash on the to of Doring’s forehead!!
- Baba charges to the ring, but he is then attacked by 2 more outsiders!! Larry “The Axe” Hennig and Larry Zbyszko!! Zbyszko and The Axe double team Baba ruthlessly, delivering a spike piledriver outside the ring!!
- Several officials rush out to break it up….but the damage is done, as Baba is laying on the concrete floor, with blood gushing out of his forehead…with Danny Doring laying next to him unconscious…
- Rogers, the Hennig’s, and Zbyszko make their way over to the announcers podium, bragging and boasting…laughing and pointing at the downed Baba
- Rogers: “Haha…look at that freak of nature…I told you Baba….I told you to stay out of my way….now, look what has happened…”
- Crockett asks about the Hennig’s and Zbyszko joining him here tonight…Rogers says that he doesn’t need a manager, when he as the toughest man in wrestling, Larry “The Axe” Hennig…the Living Legend, Larry Zbyszko…and the “Perfect Partner”, Curt Hennig….all 4 laugh as they walk to the back…

Simple Men (D. Hutton & Red Bastien) w/ Cowboy Bob Orton vs. The Vachons (Mad Dog & Butcher Vachon)
- Orton accompanies Hutton and Bastien to the ring for the first time…
- The Vachons are former tag team champions in another territory, and now they have invaded the NWA…as this is their debut match in the NWA
- The Vachons practically steamroll over Hutton, never allowing him to tag out
- Hutton is cut open after several bites to his forehead by Mad Dog
- Mad Dog planted Hutton with the PILEDRIVER, but Orton tried to interfere…but instead, Mad Dog smashed Orton, sending him crashing to the floor
- Another PILEDRIVER put Hutton down for the pinfall
- It was noted that Capt. Lou Albano came to ringside, and took notes during the match

Post Match Interview with the Vachons
- Crockett tried to get the Vachons to give a post match interview, but all the Vachons did was curse Crockett, grabbed the mic, and slammed it to the floor, shattering the mic (and nearly busting everyone’s ear drums in the process!!)

Nick Bockwinkel w/ Bobby Heenan vs. Bobo Brazil
- Quick paced match
- Brazil hit the COCO BUTT, but Bockwinkel kicked out
- Bockwinkel quickly nailed a back suplex, went for the pin, pulling a hand full of trunks, and held the attempt for the full 3 count

Post Match Interview with Nick Bockwinkel
- While Bockwinkel was talking about how he is going to take Frank Gotch to “Wrestling School”, Bobo Brazil confronted Bockwinkel about Bockwinkel’s tainted win by pulling his trunks
- Bockwinkel and Heenan denied the claim that Bockwinkel would ever need to do that…
- Crockett offered to show the replay, but Bobby Heenan demanded that the tape be put in an archive, and not shown here….
- Brazil and Bockwinkel get into a shoving match, when Brazil is attacked by The Valiants and Race!! They are beating down Brazil, when out from the back runs Frank Gotch and well-known European wrestling star, George Hackenschmidt!! Heenan and his men are run off….
- Gotch says that he is more than willing to step into the “school house” to wrestle Bockwinkel….Hackenschmidt is introduced….Hack challenges Harley Race to a match at SuperClash….Brazil is helped to his feet….and a 6-man challenge is issued for next week here….on World Championship Wrestling….Brazil, Gotch, and Hack vs. Race, Bockwinkel, and Heenan….

A Video Clip is shown….of Bruiser Brody
- A brief video clip is shown of Bruiser Brody demolishing low level talent in other territories
- Out from the back walks Paul Ellering….
- Ellering says that the monster, Bruiser Brody, will be here tonight…in the NWA…and he will walk out of this building as the NWA World TV Champion
- Ellering says that he is the “handler” of Brody, and will take Brody to the top of the wrestling world…starting tonight in the TV Title Battle Royal

Road Warriors w/ Paul Ellering vs. Buddy Rose & Gorgeous George w/ Cherie Dupre
- The Road Warriors completely squash Gorgeous George and Buddy Rose, pinning Rose in less than a minute via the DOOMSDAY DEVICE

Ted DiBiase w/ Virgil vs. The Destroyer
- A great back and forth match, but Destroyer comes out on top with the FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK, forcing DiBiase to submit

Post Match Interview with The Destroyer
- During Destroyer’s interview, Paul Ellering approaches Destroyer
- Ellering asks Destroyer if he would like to be part of “Greatness”….Destroyer politely declines…says that he is a loner….
- Ellering interjects himself again, and again, asks Destroyer if he is sure he doesn’t want to be part of “Greatness”
- Again, Destroyer declines…this time, not so politely…
- Ellering interrupts again….telling Destroyer that he isn’t asking this time…he is telling him, he WILL be part of “Greatness”…
- Destroyer grabs Ellering by the shirt, and starts to threaten Ellering, when from behind, Brody nails Destroyer across the back of the head with a fist full of chain!!
- Brody goes on the attack, choking and pounding Destroyer with the chain!!
- Ellering, after several moments of laughing at Brody pounding Destroyer, snaps his fingers…and Brody suddenly stops…looks at Ellering wild-eyed…and both men walk away, leaving Destroyer unconscious…

Harley Race w/ Bobby Heenan vs. Frank Gotch
- Gotch started out strong, wrestling Race to the mat with fluid mat moves
- Race fought back, hammering Gotch with forearms and punches
- Gotch turned things around, and locked on the GOTCH TOEHOLD, but Heenan jumped up on the apron, distracting the referee….Bockwinkel ran out into the ring, and clobbered Gotch with a pair of brass knuckles…
- Race recovered, and planted an unconscious Gotch with the PILEDRIVER…taking an easy pinfall
- After the match, Race continued his assault, delivering another PILEDRIVER onto Gotch….Hack and Brazil ran out for the save, but it was too late, Gotch had to be taken out on a stretcher…

Interview with Greg Valentine…
- Valentine, along with Baker & Bundy, walk out to the announce podium
- Valentine says that he knows why Johnny Valentine isn’t here today….why he won’t be here next week….and why he won’t make it to SuperClash to defend the US title vs. Greg….
- He says that he has a video….
- The video begins to play…it is of Greg standing outside a house, along with Bundy & Baker….Greg is unlocking the door…Bundy asks if he could just smash the door down…
- Greg says no…his key will work fine….
- The door unlocks, and the 3 men enter the house…pictures of Johnny and Greg are on the walls….
- Greg shouts out, “Hey, Pop…I’m home!! Let’s talk about some things…”
- All 3 men are walking around the house, that seems to be empty…Greg says he hears the shower running…he motions for Baker and Bundy to stand on either side of the door…as Greg knocks on the (bathroom) door….
- The water shuts off….Johnny’s voice through the door asks who is in the house....Greg doesn’t answer….
- A few moments later…Johnny opens the door, baseball bat in hand, and shorts on…Greg says he wants to talk things over…
- Johnny walks through the door, but is blindsided by Baker, as he nails Johnny with a HEART PUNCH!! Johnny goes down, then Bundy splashes him THROUGH THE FLOOR!! Bundy climbs back out of the hole in the floor (with some strenuous help from Baker and Greg)….Greg motions to the cameraman, and says to come take a picture of this….
- The camera man walks over to the hold in the floor…and laying on the ground, practically buried under debris…lies Johnny Valentine….Greg smirks…as the three of them walk out of the home, after Greg trashes the pictures of Johnny….
- After the video is done…Greg starts laughing…he says that Johnny Valentine will never wrestle again…in fact, if anyone wants to contact Johnny, they need to go dig him out of his basement…
- Valentine, Bundy, and Baker start to walk away…when out from the back walks Jim Duggan & (an injured) Sandman!!
- Duggan challenges Bundy & Baker to a tag team match next week…but right now…he wants Greg Valentine “in that ring…RIGHT NOW!!” poking the chest of Valentine as he issues the challenge….
- Greg accepts…

“Hacksaw” Jim Duggan vs. Greg “The Hammer” Valentine
- Duggan and Valentine collide in the ring, hammering each other with hard punches, kicks, slams, and forearms
- Both fight to the outside several times, with neither man gaining any real control of the match
- Duggan whips Valentine into the buckles, and charges…but Valentine moves out of the way, crashing into the steel post…Valentine follows up with a hard clothesline…
- Valentine piledrives Duggan, then hammers his chest with some hard Valentine chops, staggering Duggan
- A flurry of punches sends Duggan to the mat…then 2 consecutive falling elbow hammers, then more Valentine chops by Valentine
- Valentine tosses Duggan to the floor…to beat the count, Duggan rolls back inside…neckbreaker by Valentine…1…2…NO, Duggan kicks out
- A piledriver by Valentine…Valentine shoves Duggan back to the floor…
- Duggan attempts a falling elbow hammer off the apron, but Duggan nails him with a wild haymaker in mid-air!!
- Back inside…Duggan plants Valentine with the FLYING SPEAR!! But Valentine kicks out before the 3 count
- Duggan goes on an offensive tear…spinning bodyslam, Tough Guy Clothesline…piledriver…whip into the ropes…bear hug!!
- Back outside, Valentine regains control, as he smashes Duggan head first into the ring barrier
- Back inside, Valentine locks on the FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK…but Duggan reaches the ropes
- Valentine hits a running clothesline…climbs to the 2nd buckle and lands a falling elbow hammer….and takes the pinfall
- Valentine motions for Bundy to “get the pipe!!”
- Valentine straps on the metal pipe to his leg, while Bundy and Baker are pounding Duggan with kicks, chops…and a Bundy splash…
- Valentine is ready to hook on the FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK with the metal pipe….but out from the back….JOHNNY VALENTINE!!!!!! Valentine clears the ring, sending Greg, Bundy and Baker to the back!!

Interview with US Champion, Johnny Valentine
- Valentine helps Duggan to the announce podium for a few words
- Valentine says that Greg, Bundy and Baker tried to put him out of wrestling….they tried to BURY him alive….
- Well, it didn’t work….Johnny Valentine is here…and he is here to STAY!! He then challenges Greg to a match at SuperClash….the US title will be on the line…but at SuperClash, Johnny will do what Greg tried….Johnny will bury Greg Valentine….in a coffin match!!

10-Man Battle Royal for the Vacant NWA World Television Title
Wrestlers involved in the Battle Royal: Jim Duggan, Harley Race, King Kong Bundy, Don Leo Jonathan, Destroyer, Bobo Brazil, Frank Gotch, Ox Baker, Ted DiBiase, Bruiser Brody
- Jonathan and Destroyer are fighting it out…Destroyer is crushed with a clothesline in the corner…Jonathan picks Destroyer up…and tosses Destroyer over the top rope and to the floor
- Race and Baker are fighting…Race has Baker on the ropes…hammering him with forearms, chops, and elbows…Bundy charges Race, but Race moves out of the way…Bundy crashes into Baker, sending him over the top rope and to the floor!!
- Race starts pounding on Bundy now…Bundy shakes it off…forearm smash…running power slam by Bundy…and Race is tossed viciously over the top rope
- Gotch and Brody are trading punches…Gotch is whipped into the buckles…Brody charges, but Gotch moves out of the way…Brody crashes into the buckles…he is then tossed out quickly by Gotch
- Bundy and Duggan are brawling in the corner…Duggan is hammered by an AVALANCHE…Bundy easily tosses Duggan over the top rope
- The last five men: Bobo Brazil, Frank Gotch, Ted DiBiase, King Kong Bundy, Don Leo Jonathan
- DiBiase goes on the attack on Bundy…Bundy crushes DiBiase with the AVALANCHE…and DiBiase is tossed to the outside by Bundy
- Bundy and Jonathan’s eyes meet across the ring…the fans start cheering, as the 2 biggest men in this Battle Royal start circling the ring…both giants collide in the center of the ring, trading punches and forearms…Bundy scoops up Jonathan….running power slam!! Bundy dispatches Jonathan over the top rope
- Bundy attacks Brazil from behind…Bundy easily tosses Brazil over the top rope
- Gotch attacks Bundy now…Both men battle back and forth…Gotch survives an AVALANCHE….But still, both men batter each other…
- Bundy has Gotch leaning against the ropes…Bundy goes to the other side…rebounds and charges Gotch…Gotch ducks, pulling the ropes down…Bundy is over the top rope…and crashes down to the floor!!
- **FRANK GOTCH WINS THE NWA WORLD TV TITLE**

Frank Gotch: Hurt, Battered & Injured….but still an Over-comer

Earlier in the night, Gotch was carried away on a stretcher after being piledriven into the concrete by Harley Race. Race is known for having one of the most devastating piledrivers in the sport. Gotch, though, walked out to the ring for the 10-Man Battle Royal for the vacant NWA World TV Title…and won. Gotch overcame the odds, and eliminated the giant, King Kong Bundy to stand alone in the ring. Bundy was a monster in the Battle Royal, eliminating 5 individuals. Gotch, though, survived not only a Bundy onslaught, but an AVALANCHE also, to come back and win, after Bundy fell to the outside over the top rope when he missed a charge into the ropes.

Buddy Rogers, Larry Hennig, Curt Hennig, Larry Zbyszko: The Gang of Four

Buddy Rogers seems to be surrounding himself with some tough guys. The Hennig’s and Larry Zbyszko joined up with Rogers this past week on Saturday Night…and put a beatdown on Giant Baba (and Danny Doring, who was supposedly Buddy Rogers’ protégé).

Greg Valentine vs. Johnny Valentine: Bad Blood…or Blood gone bad?

The war between Greg and Johnny Valentine is coming to a boiling point. This past week, Greg Valentine played a video of him, Ox Baker, and King Kong Bundy attacking Johnny Valentine in his home. Bundy delivered a splash, crashing through the floor and into the basement. Greg said that Johnny is gone, and will never come back…that he was buried in the basement of Johnny’s home. Johnny not only showed up, but sent Greg and his 2 men running from the ring. Johnny issued a challenge to Greg for SuperClash…in a Coffin Match for the US title.

The Simple Men: A traitor among us?

The popular tag team, The Simple Men, are a team that is a throw back to the “good ol’ days”…when justice, honor, and hard work were the order of the day. But how does Bob Orton, Jr. fit into the equation? Orton has started to come to the ring with Hutton & Bastien. “Rich has been going to the bars with Orton quite a bit lately,” says one wrestler, close to Bastien. “And it isn’t a secret that Red doesn’t like Orton all that much…soon, I am sure, Red and Orton will cross each other…and it won’t be pretty”. The question is, though…will Hutton saddle up with drinking buddy, Orton….or stay true to partner Red Bastien?

Bockwinkel vs. Gotch: Who is the Submission Specialist?

Bockwinkel, for some reason, wants to prove a point…that point is: to show up Frank Gotch. Gotch is coming off a great, but painful, week, as he suffered an injury, but also won the TV Title Battle Royal. Bockwinkel has issued a challenge to Gotch: “Prove you are the master of submission holds…Finisher vs. Finisher….My FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK vs. your GOTCH TOEHOLD….” Gotch, has readily accepted…They have signed a match for SuperClash…a Finisher Match, that can only be won by their respective leg holds. It is Gotch’s TOEHOLD vs. Bockwinkel’s FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK….and the TV Title just might be on the line, if Gotch can manage to hold it long enough.

The Formation of the Legion of Doom: Paul Ellering gathers the faithful

Ellering is a smart man, a brutal man, and a very deceitful man. Ellering has gathered 3 of the most fearsome individuals in the wrestling world and combined them all into a stable of brutality. The Road Warriors & Bruiser Brody….led by the diabolical Paul Ellering, will be a force to reckon with in the NWA. Brody’s first target has already been established before he even wrestled a match…The Destroyer. “I offered The Destroyer to join the elite bad-@$$es” stated Ellering, “but he refused…and he will pay the ultimate price for refusing an offer from ‘Precious’ Paul Ellering, as I release the brutality of Bruiser Brody on him!!”
