CARD #010 MONDAY NIGHT MAYHEM LWF TV STUDIOS, BURBANK, CA
The evening started out with an address from the Commissioner.
COMMISSIONER GRANT: Hello LOWF Fans and welcome to MONDAY NIGHT MAYHEM!
(Cheers!)
GRANT: Tonight is a very special evening as the LOWF makes its dramatic debut on television and YOU are all part of it!
(Cheers!)
GRANT: We are a new federation. We are growing. Heck, this is only our 10th card! But the success of last month's WrestleMania gave the network the proof it needed that professional wrestling is worthy of a prime time spot!
(Cheers!)
GRANT: Now, as i said, we're growing and we have to make some adjustments. The first announcement I'd like to make is that the LOWF is changing it's name. Well, not really. We're still called the LEGENDS OF WRESTLING FEDERATION, but we're dropping th 'O' and so now we'll just be the LWF. This change will streamline things a bit and also prevent folks from calling us "Loaf"! Heh heh. A change that you, the fans, have been asking for is for more tag teams and I'm proud to say that LOWF...um excuse me, LWF Road Agents have been scouring the country looking for the best tag teams to bring here to bolster our tag team roster. Tonight will see the debut of one of these new tag teams. The plan is that in just a few cards on Card #013 from the Selland Arena in Freson we will have an 8-Team tournemant to crown the frist ever LWF Tag Team Champions.
(Cheer!)
I must also announce that the schedule that leaked to the internet of our upcoming year of cards was a bit premature. The adjusted schedule will follow shortly and I promise you, you will get a great year of wrestling action. And speaking of action, you all came here to watch some great action, not to hear me chat! So let's get on with our first match!
Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka d. Koko B. Ware by pinfall in a matcht hat say Koko mount very little offense. After the match, Snuka's manager, Captain Lou Albano took Koko B. Ware aside to speak with him and all three left the ring together. No word on what this meant.
Next up, the gentleman who interrupted the ROAD WARRIORS celebration at Wrestlemania came to the ring. He was strutting with self importance and he brandished a tennis raquet as he climbed intot eh ring and asked for a mic.
MAN: Ladies and gentlemen...and I use those words LOOSELY..my name is Jim Cornette and I am the future of wrestling, so if you'd all just shut up for a moment I'll tell you my plan.
(Boos!)
CORNETTE: Oh i should have figured you wouldn't understand what shut up means. Anyway, I'm here because last month at Wrestlemania the Road Warriors themselves said I could bring my team here to Burbank and challenge them on Monday Night Mayhem! So let me introduce to you, the future of Tag Team wrestling in the LWF, The NWA TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS, Sweet Stan Lane & Beautiful Bobby Eaton, THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS.
The two men came, arrogantly, to ringside. They held the NWA Tag Team titles in their hands as they climbed into the ring.
LANE: Jimmy, I want to thank you for bringing us to the big time here in the LWF! Over the past year we've beaten every team the NWA threw at us and we knew it'd only be a matter of time before we got to the "big time"!
EATON: You couldn't be more right Stan! And our dominance of the LWF starts tonight as we get a match with two of the most feared tag team wrestlers in the world, The Road Warriors! This is our shot to prove our dominance just in time for the LWF TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNEMANT that is only a few cards away!
CORNETTE: That's right! So Hawk, Animal, no use hiding out in the dressing room! Stop yer quiverring and get your keisters out here so we can hand them to you.
The ROAD WARRIRORS music hits, but instead of Hawk and Animal a man in black suit came out. Cornette and the Midnight Express looked confused.
CORNETTE: Who are you? You certainly aren't The Road Warriors.
MAN: My name is Precious Paul Ellering and I'm the new manager of The Road Warriors.
CORNETTE: Precious is it, well it isn't! Where are your men? They promisedus a match.
ELLERING: Yes, I saw the tape of that. Regretfully that was before I took them under my wing. See I told them why it's nice that they wanted to help an up and coming AMATEUR team get their big break, it's simply not how things are done.
CORNETTE: Amateur? These men are the NWA TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS!!
ELLERING: Oh yeah, I see that. It's very good to practice until one is good enough to make it to the big leagues. But even though you're here, it doesn't mean you automatically get a shot at my guys. You need to earn it. You need to accumulate some wins and so tonight you'll get your first LWF match, but it ain't going to be against THE ROAD WARRIORS! It'll be against...THE MILLION DOLLAR CORPORATION!
Cornette, Lane and Eaton were all insenced!
CORNETTE: Fine! It doesn't matter! We'll beat WHOEVER you put inbetween us and the WARRIORS! Then you'll have NO CHOICE in accepting our challenge.
THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS d. THE MILLION DOLLAR CORPORATION (DiBiase & Virgil) by pinfall when Eaton hit a sunset flip on Virgil.
"Hacksaw" Jim Duggan and Nikolai Volkoff wrestled to a Double Disqualification when the two spilled out into the crowd in a wild brawl. Duggan clobbered Volkoff witht eh 2x4 after the match and stood over him triumphantly.
THE ROAD WARRIRORS d. THE DREAM TEAM by pinfall in a very quick matcht hat saw Greg "The Hammer" Valentine get the Doomsday Device.
A spotlight then came up on another part of the set where a table and some chairs were set-up.
ANNOUNCER: Ladies & Gentlemen, please welcome, the host of LWF's HOT SEAT, Bill Apter.
(Cheer!)
APTER: Good evening Ladies and Gentlemen! My name is Bill Apter and every once in awhile I'm going to come out here and get in depth interviews with the wrestlers of the LWF! tonight, before our main event, we're going to speak to a man who is currently undeafeated in the LWF since his debut, Cowboy Bob Orton.
(Boos!)
ORTON: Yeah, you all boo me, go ahead, my record speaks for itself! I've won every match I've wrestled since I debuted and tonight I'm going to win one more when I destroy that mountain of blubber, King Kong Bundy!
APTER: Many people are saying that this match tonight will determine the #1 contender for the LWF Heavyweight Championship currently held by the Iron Sheik.
ORTON: That is exactly right Bill and when I win tonight I will get a show at the LWF Championship and there will be a new champion around here!
MAN: Whoa whoa whoa there...Cowboy!
A man in a sequenced jacket came out with a microphone to stop the proceedings.
APTER: Who are you? you have no right to be out here!
MAN: Oh yeas I do. This matter concearns me! Listen up Orton, Apter and all you humanoids out there! My name is Bobby "The Brain" Heenan and right here I have a contract in my hand. The ink is still wet! This contract say that I now manage King Kong Bundy and with the power of "The Brain" behind him, the sky's the limit! Bundy will win the match tonight and then he will, once again, wrestle for and win the LWF HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP!
ORTON: The Brain huh? Well, brain, I've never been one much for talking! Let's get this butt kicking over with!
MAIN EVENT Cowboy Bob Orton d. King Kong Bundy by pinfall with an AMAZING superplex! After the match Heenan swore up and down that Bundy's foot was on the ropes, but the ref knew he was lying and declared Orton the undisputed winner as we...

We see a shadowry room. Figures are somewhat visible but it's unsure. A figure shuffles into the room. We cannot make him out. He stops suddely and looks into the corner.
VOICE: Why are you here?
FIGURE: I...we...failed.
VOICE: What?
FIGURE: We failed. We lost.
(Whispering is heard from the corner.)
VOICE: This displeases your uncle greatly.
FIGURE: I understand.
VOICE: Fine, sit out your time. We will formulate a plan in the meanwhile.
FIGURE: Yes. But...
VOICE: Silence, your words do nothing but make your failure even more obvious! So quiet. Your uncle needs to think.
FIGURE: But there is...
VOICE: SILENCE
Just then a fireball shoots out and engulfs the figure who runs off yelling in pain.
VOICE: Kids. Too damn smart fot their own good.

CARD #011 MONDAY NIGHT MAYHEM LWF TV STUDIOS, BURBANK CA
It was an amazing night of action in the LWF Studios as we saw some great matches and the birth of a new feud!
THE DREAM TEAM d. THE MILLION DOLLAR CORPORATION by Submission when Greg "The Hammer" Valentine slapped the Figure Four on Virgil to make him submit.
Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka d. King Kong Bundy in somewhat of an upset after an amazing show of power hefting Bundy up and down into a backbreaker.
THE KILLER BEES d. THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS by pinfall with the Bee Sting but only after they made a masked switch. This infuriated Cornette to no end because he saw it happen behind the ref's back and he claimed to be petitioning the LWF Commissioner for a ruling on the Bees being able to use masks.
Bill Apter's Hot Seat w/ guest LWF Champion The Iron Sheik - The Sheik came out and rambled on incoherently for several minutes. No one is really sure what he said except for "America, Ptooey!" and "Orton will submit!" The heat for the Sheik/Orton match that is for sure on the horizion is building!
THE MAIN EVENT FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE MATCH Nikolai Volkoff d. "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan by pinfall in a match that saw these two battle all over the Studio, including the bathroom! Volkoff pinned Duggan after whipping him into a concrete wall! It's a good thing the next card is in Fresno as the LWF staff will need the time to clean up the mess that was made!

FLYIN' HIGH d. THE DREAM TEAM by pinfall with a flying headbutt.
Cowboy Bob Orton d. Hacksaw Jim Duggan in a lightning quick match. After the match, Orton grabbed the mic.

After that Apter welcomed thenewly crowned LWF TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS, The Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff. Sheik and Volkoff berated the other teams int he LWF especially THE ROAD WARRIORS, calling them yellow American cowards. THE ROAD WARRIORS wasted NO time in getting out and issued a challenge right then and there, but it was a trap as Hawk, Animal and Ellering were attacked from behind by THE DREAM TEAM. Before it was all broken up, both Hawk & Animal needed to be helped out of the arena. Initial doctor's reports suggest that all three men will be out of action for about 2 cards.

CARD #018 MONDAY NIGHT MAYHEM LWF STUDIOS, BURBANK, CA
Year 2 of the LWF got off to a great start with some debuts and a title defense!
Ravishing Rick Rude d. Koko B. Ware by pinfall after the Rude Awakening. Bobby Heenan's newcommer completely destroyed Ware, who could not get in an offensive move after the first few minutes of this match. Rude will be one to watch.
Mr. Perfect d. Don "The Rock" Muraco by DQ when Muraco slammed him outside the ring against the ref's warning. These two newcommers showed a lot potential in this match. Both are eager to prove themselves and it showed as a brawl errupted after the DQ. This will not be the last time these two step into the ring to square off.
King Harley Race d. "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan by pinfall after a piledriver. After the match Bobby "The Brain" Heenan grabbed the mic and annouced that because of his win in the manager battle royal at LAST NIGHT, he would be claiming the title shot at KING OF THE RING where King Harley Race will be facing LWF CHAMPION The Iron Sheik.
THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS d. THE DREAM TEAM by pinfall after a running clothesline.
BILL APTER'S HOT SEAT GUESTS #1 - THE KILLER BEES & CAPTAIN LOU ALBANO - Captain Lou stated that he is the manager of Tag Team Champions ans soon he would lead the KILLER BEES to Tag Team Gold! The Iron SHeik & Nikolai Volkoff both came out, on their way to the ring for their LWF TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP rematch, and The Iron Sheik started saying that Orton was a loser and he shouldn't get a rematch because he was a loser! With that Orton rushed The Iron Sheik and Sheik & VOlkoff began stomping the hell out of Orton. Things looked bad for Orton until THE ROAD WARRIORS stormed out to make the save and chased Sheik & Volkoff to the ring to begin our main event.

My initial investment was $1,500,000. I signed all the wrestlers on my Year 2 roster to 6 month contracts and gave the TV Show a base 3.0 rating). This PPV wiped me OUT! I took an $80,000 bath! I supposed part of the problem is that I'm using the basic OUT OF THE RING charts which tend to lead to more DQs. I'm getting the updated charts next week. Since Legend's Superstars don't "age" like COTG stars do, I think this is a good way to limit the influx of talent coming into the federation. Even though I limit myself by only using old school WWF guys, with a select few others thrown in, this iwll prevent me from throwing in a ton of new wrestlers all at once. I also began using the Between Matched chart, but I don't roll on it between EVERY match. Again that can be found at - games.groups.yahoo.com/group/cotglegends/ - Enjoy!)
