Hey All.
Name's Grant. I've played COTG for years, even wrote a song about Reptillo you may have heard of. Anyway, COTG has sort of petered out fun wise for me. There's just TOO many guys. I'm not saying I won't ever go back, but for now it's just nuts. I did however recently get the jones to play legends.
So welcome to the LOWF. The Legends Wrestling Federation.
Now's where I know I'm gonna catch hell. I'm not using all the LOW guys. In fact I'm only using guys I used to watch when I was a kid (or now if it's someone who's still around). I know, you're saying, "So that's what a lot of us are doing." Yeah, except I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and the ONLY wrestling we had was 80's WWF. So, yes, Harley Race is in my federation, but he's King Harley Race.
Otherwise, just sit back and enjoy (and feel free to mock me for wasting talent, I won't mind).
:-)

Dateline: Burbank, CA - Commissioner Grant B. of the LOWF held a press conference today on the steps of Legends Hall to officially announce the first round of singings to the LOWF.
"It is our desire to build the best wrestling federation in the world. We will only be singing the absolute best and most entertaining wrestlers to contracts and therefore deliver the very best in sports entertainment to you, the fan."
And with that welcome Commissioner Grant read off the names of those men on the initial roster.
King Harley Race Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka King King Bundy The Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase & his bodyguard Virgil The Iron Sheik Nikolai Volkoff Greg "The Hammer" Valentine The Sandman
we've also singed the team of Hawk & Animal, The Road Warriors!
Commissioner Grant continued, "We have already entered into talks with several other wrestlers and they will join the federations as the contracts are worked out. We understand we're a little light on Tag Teams but that is something we're focusing on now. The Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff will wrestle in Tag Team Matches and we're already in discussions to bring in Greg "The Hammer" Valentine's partner Brutus Beefcake in as well as The Killer Bees. So stay tuned!
I'm also pleased to announce that our first event will be an 8-Man single elimination tournament to crown the first ever LOWF Heavyweight Champion. The brackets will be randomly seeded with 8 wrestlers from the roster. All the matches will be contested under normal LOWF Rules except for the final match which will be a Texas Death Match with no Count Outs or DQ's allowed."

COW PALACE - SAN FRANCISCO, CA
King Kong Bundy d. Greg "The Hammer" Valentine by pinfall after a running power slam. After the match Bundy grabbed the mic and made it clear that he still had unfinished business with Jimmy Snuka and there would be a time when those two would meet again.
THE ROAD WARRIOS d. The Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff by pinfall after the Doomsday Device. After the mach, The Iron Sheik blind-sided Hawk with a vicious kick in the side of the head with his spiked boot. Hawk was knocked out cold and initial reports are that he'll be out for about 4 cards.

NON TITLE EXHIBITION LOWF HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION The Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase d. The Sandman by DQ when the Sandman, out of frustration, whacked DiBiase with a cane in a match thrown together by Commissioner Grant. After the match, Ted DiBiase grabbed the mic...
"Hey, Race. King. Your Majesty. Whatever, your name is...you're now the number one contender and I know you've got your eye on this belt! I know you're probably assuming you get your shot on the next card. Well, I'd hate to disappoint you, my friend, but this man here next to me is my bodyguard Virgil. You want to get to me, you have to go through HIM! Next week, it's you against Virgil and if you win that, Ha ha haaa, which you WON'T, you'll get a shot at this belt! Ha ha haaaa!"

decent start. A bigger roster wouldnt hurt but I understand why you did it.
Wondering what angle the breifcase could play out. You put detail into it and havent done anything. Just curious to see.

Thanks for the comments. I have ordered the second set and the SE/LE cards so next week, roster will grow some. As for the briefcase, the implication there was that DiBiase paid Volkoff and Valentine off to get themselves double DQ'd so he'd have a BYE to the finals.

Yeah I caught that much. I just thought maybe it could be run with as an angle. Commish wants to know what happened, The title is tainted, etc.

LOWF CARD #003 HP PAVILLION - SAN JOSE, CA
Greg "The Hammer" Valentine d. The Sandman by DQ when The Sandman used his Singapore cane on Valentine while they were outside the ring brawling.
ROAD WARRIOR Animal d. The Iron Sheik by pinfall after a vicious powerslam. After the match Animal grabbed the mic and told Volkoff he was next! Volkoff, who was at ringside, and the Iron Sheik high tailed it to the back.
King Kong Bundy d. Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka by a 5-Count pinfall after the Avalanche.
Virgil d. King Harley Race by submission in a match that found Race tremendously distracted by the presence of LOWF HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION Ted DiBiase at ringside. With Race out sensless after the match, DiBiase and Virgil went on the attack and began pummelling Race. The crowd in attendance didn't know how to react as Race had never been a fan favorite, but just then Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka and Animal of the ROAD WARRIORS ran to ringside to stop the attack and protect the fallen Race. The crowd went bananas as Snuka and Animal stood over the fallen Race as DiBiase and Virgil made their way to the top of the entrance ramp.
Before leaving DiBiase grabbed the mic and said, "Snuka! Animal! You just made the mistake of a lifetime! Next week you'll pay for this!! I want both of you in that ring next week to take on me and Virgil!"
Snuka grabbed a ringside mic, "Brother! It doesn't matter where or when! We'll be there!" The crowd went nuts and as fired up as Animal was, he turned and started urgently taking to Snuka as we FADE TO BLACK.....

LOWF CARD #004 Grand Olympic Auditorium – Los Angeles, CA
The show started with Commissioner Gratn coming down to ringside.
COMMISIONER GRANT: I have the unfortunte duty to announce that, only 3 cards into our the growth of our new promotion, that #1 HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP contender, The King Harley Race, was so badly injured last week at the hands of Virgil and the LOWF CHAMPION Ted DiBiase, that he will be out for 8 cards.
CROWD: Booooo!
COMMISIONER GRANT: At the end of last week's show Race was saved from even more injury by Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka and ROAD WARRIOR Animal.
(Crowd Cheers.)
As we went off the air, Ted DiBiase challenged Snuka and Animal to a tag team match this week which Snuka unquestioningly accepted. That match will be the main event tonight.
(Crowd Cheers.)
However, there is a slight problem. Last week, ROAD WARRIOR Animal also challenged Nikolai Volkoff to a match this week and that match was signed before Snuka accepted the challenge from DiBiase. I spoke with Volkoff about the possibility of postponing that match but he has refused, I'm sure at the urging of Ted DiBiase. Unfortunately, my hands are tied and ROAD WARRIOR Animal will have to wrestle twice tonight. He will wrestle in the main event alongside Snuka and he will wrestle in this oepning bout against Nikolai Volkoff. It's going to be a long night for ROAD WARRIOR Animal, so let's get it started.
(Bell rings.)
ROAD WARRIOR Animal d. Nikolai Volkoff by pinfall with a powerslam in a match that saw Animal focused and determined not to let Volkoff get any momentum.
The Iron Sheik d. Greg "The Hammer" Valentine by pinfall with a powerslam.
Kink Kong Bundy d. The Sandman by pinfall after an amazing elbow drop off the top rope.
MAIN EVENT Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka & ROAD WARRIOR Animal d. Ted DiBiase & Virgil by pinfall after snuka hit Virgil with a chop after an acrobatic leap frog. DiBiase fled from the ring after the match as Virgil limped on after. As they left the arena fans saw DiBiase verbally degrading Virgil, blaming him for losing the match. As Virgil drove their car out of the parking lot, a large man wearing a hood stepped out of the shadows and watched them drive off. The man then melded back in with the night as we...
FADE TO BLACK.
LOWF Rankings after this event:
1 Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase - LOWF HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION 2 King Kong Bundy 3 King Harley Race 4 Virgil 5 Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka 6 Iron Sheik 7 Nikolai Volkoff 8 Greg "The Hammer" Valentine 9 The Sandman

LOWF CARD #005 LOWF TV Studios - Burbank, CA
Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka & ROAD WARRIOR Animal d. The Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff by countout when Snuka gave Volkoff a piledriver on the floor of the arena and he was unable to make it back into the ring before the 10 count.
King Kong Bundy d. Virgil by pinfall after the Avalanche and a 5 count. After the match, Bundy grabbed the mic.
BUNDY: Week after week, I've come out here and destroyed opponent after opponent. Now, I got a lot of respect for Harley Race, he's supposed to be the number one contender but he's out for several more weeks. So that just leaves me around here as the dominat force in the LOWF. That means I've only got one place to go and that's up. Up to you DiBiase. Thing is, I know you're a chicken DiBiase. I know you'd say i have to go through your bodyguard first. Well guess what, I just did! So now that leaves just me and you. Next week, DiBiase, I get YOU!
(Just then Ted Dibiase comes out to the top of the ramp.)
DIBIASE: Whoa whoa whoa, big man. You just need to cool your jets a bit. Yeah, you've been pretty dominat around here, but I've just come from a meeting with Commissioner Grant. I've was telling him that something had to be done about the lack of competition around this place and with Race out of the picture, I need a new number one contender.
BUNDY: You've got a number one contender. Me.
DIBIASE: Oh no, you've got to earn that right Bundy. Next week in Fresno, Commissioner Grant is holding the first ever LOWF California Classic!
BUNDY: What the hell is that crap?
DIBIASE: It's a little thing called a ranking gauntlet. The two lowest ranked guys in the federation, who are...well, come on, let's be serious, they are so beneath me, I have no idea who they are, but the point is, that they fight each other and then the winner moves onto the next highest ranked wrestler and so on and so on. Then the winner of all those guantlet matches will get to face me for a title shot. So if you want a shot at this belt, you're going to have to win the gauntlet.
BUNDY: What you're forgetting DiBiase is that I'm right underneath you. That means I only have to wrestle one match and then I get you. Alone. I've gone through every man in this Federation, DiBiase, if I need to squash one more to get to you, so be it. Enjoy that belt DiBiase. Next week it's mine.

DATELINE: BURBANK, CA - It has been a bust week at LOWF HQ. Things are really picking up for the little promotion. The first five shows have done good business and the fans are happy that there si finally a choice in the world of Sports Entertainment.
Wrestlers from all over the country have been sending in tapes of their matches hoping to get a tryout with the LOWF. Recent leaks from insiders is that some signings have occured. As Commissioner Grant mentioned in his opening day speech, Brutus Beefcake has entered the Federation. The tag team of THE KILLER BEES has also been signed. These signings have really beefed up the tag team comepetition in the Federation and the rumor now is that sanctioned Tag Team Titles are not far behind.
Frustrated with his recent string of losses, The Sandman is said to have been in talks trying to bring a friend of his into the federation. No word on if that's going to happen yet. The singing of Cowboy Bob Orton HAS occurred though and he will get a match at LOWF's first Pay-Per-View, THE CALIFORNIA CLASSIC, against another recent LOWF aquisition, the unpredictable Hacksaw Jim Duggan. This show was just supposed to be the first ever Ranking Guantlet, but this recent rash of signings has added to the undercard of the show.
Commissioner Grant has also ensured reporters that there would be a few other matches announced as well. "This is certainly not the end of our expansion. We're becomeing more popular and we must continue to grow to meet that popularity.
In a bit of "off the wall" events happening at Fed HQ, Security had to be called to escort a man off the premesis who was VERY adamant about staying. This gentleman was heard to have said as he stormed off, "The LOWF thinks they have an exclusive club with who they hire or not! Well, that will soon change!"
No word on who this stranger was.
In other news, the currently hospitalized Harley Race is said to be improving and will be moved home soon. He's vowed to get backinto the ring as soon as possible and even if he's champion or not, Ted DiBiase is the FIRST person he's going after!

LOWF CARD #007 Selland Arena, Fresno, CA
The evening started out with Ted DiBiase marching down to ringside, Virgil behind him. He signaled for a mic.
DIBIASE: Sheik! Who do you think you are!?! You come into the California Classic and take MY belt! MY BELT! Well, let me tell you something, your title reign ends TONIGHT! Tonight! I am invoking my rematch clause and I'm invoking it right NOW! Get out here Shiek! Get out here and get in this ring and bring my belt!
The Iron Sheik did not come out to the ring though, it was COMMISSIONER GRANT who came to the ring.
GRANT: I'd hate to be the bearer of bad news out here tonight, but, unfortunately I have to inform you that The Iron Sheik, the new LOWF HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION, is not here tonight so you will not be getting your rematch. Also the LOWF Internal Investigations Committee turned up something interesting recently. See DiBiase, I got curious about your seemingly breezy waltz to the title. I found out the truth. You paid Volkoff and Valentine to get counted out so you’d have one less match to wrestle. Leaving you refreshed for the final two matches.
DIBIASE: You can’t prove that!
GRANT: Oh, you’d be surprised what people will confess to when threatened with losing their jobs. These papers right here are singed affidavits from Volkoff and Valentine stating that you indeed pay them off to “take a double dive” as it were.
…
GRANT: Nothing to say to that eh? Interesting. Well since you didn’t really “earn” the LOWF CHAMPIONSHIP I figure you didn’t really “earn” a rematch for the belt.
DIBIASE: Wait a minute! I was the HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION! I deserve a rematch!
GRANT: And you’ll get one, if you earn it!
DIBIASE: Earn it? How do I earn it?
GRANT: By wrestling in a number one contender match tonight.
DIBIASE: Fine, number one contender match, perfect. Against who?
GRANT: Oh, a very good friend of yours…KING KONG BUNDY!
DIBIASE & VIRGIL storm out of the ring as we get set for our first match…
Koko B. Ware d. Nikolai Volkoff by DQ when Volkoff ignored the referee’s warnings to stop brawling.
THE KILLER BEES d. THE DREAM TEAM by DQ when Brutus Beefcake slammed B. Brian Blair on the concrete floor outside the ring.
Virgil d. Hacksaw Jim Duggan by DQ when Duggan refused to stop brawling. After the match, Duggan brained Virgil with his 2x4.
THE ROAD WARRIORS came to the ring for their first match back together since Hawk’s injury. Their first opponent, The Sandman came to ringside. The ROAD WARRIORS began laughing at him.
HAWK: My first match back and they send me…this loser. Boy have you even one a match yet?
SANDMAN: No, but I’m moving down a new path. I’m going to be a Tag Team Wrestler.
ANIMAL: (LAUGHS HYSTERICALLY.)
HAWK: You’re going to be a Tag Team Wrestler eh? You and who? One of your loser friends?
SANDMAN: Yeah. Me and one of my loser friends.
Suddenly our of nowhere a enraged madman came out of the crowd and clobbered HAWK from behind as SANDMAN nailed ANIMAL with the Singapore cane. The bell rang, but the ref was unable to stop the madness and called for a DQ when this new wrestler hit ANIMAL with an amazing Arabian Facebuster with a steel chair. THE ROAD WARRIORS d. TEAM EXTREME by DQ. After the match, The Sandman grabbed the mic, “Say hello to TEAM EXTREME! Your new nightmare!” With that they left the ring.
Cowboy Bob Orton d. Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka by pinfall after a Superplex much to the chagrin of Snuka’s manager, Captain Lou Albano.
Right before the main event, the same crazy man who’s charge the ring before, charged the ring again. He didn’t get far before security tackled him.
In the main event, The Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase d. King Kong Bundy by Count Out when Bundy couldn’t get in the ring after the being smacked with a steel chair by Virgil behind the ref’s back. After the match, while Bundy was being helped from ringside, DiBiase grabbed the mic and shouted, “There! I defeated Bundy! Next week I get my rematch!”
Commissioner Grant ran to the entracneway, “Not so fast DiBiase! I said you had to earn the rematch. Having your lackey hit your opponent with a chair does NOT constitute earning a shot! Therefore next week you’ll face Bundy again. This time in the confines of a 15 foot high STEEL CAGE!
FADE OUT…

The Coliseum was JAM PACKED in the LOWF's first sold out event. In the front row, once again was the mystery man, with a ticket. The crowd was riled up for an evening's worth of action at that's what they got.
Nikolai Volkoff d. Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka by pinfall with the Backbreaker Drop.
Virgil d. Koko B. Ware by submission with the Cobra Clutch.
Cowboy Bob Orton d. "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan by pinfall after a second rope Powerslam.

The Sandman by pinfall after a powerslam
After the match, THE ROAD WARRIORS stood triumphant in the ring. Animal grabbed a mic.
ANIMAL: I think it's about time the LOWF sanctioned some Tag Team Titles and put them immediately around our waists.
(CROWD CHEER.)
HAWK: That's right! We've run through every tag team here. We're currently the top ranked Tag Team. I'm beginning to think that we need to start looking elsewhere for challenges! Ha ha haa.
Just then the mysterious man in the front row hopped the ring barrier and scrambled up into the ring and grabbed the mic out of Hawk's hand. Security quickly ran to the ring, but Hawk & Animal waved them off, saying they wanted to hear what he had to say.
MAN: For weeks I've been trying to get an audience with Commissioner Grant. He's refused every meeting I've requested. So I come to the matches and try to state my case here and I get kicked out. Thrown out on my butt. So for the last few weeks I've bided my time. I've sat nicely in the front row, waiting for a chance to talk.
ANIMAL: Well now you got it runt! Talk.
MAN: Uh, yeah. Thanks. You want a challenge is that what you said earlier.
HAWK: Heh. It would be nice.
MAN: Well I've got a challenge for you. I have a team a team that would love to go up against you. In fact this team is currently the reigning NWA Champions.
HAWK & ANIMAL: Ha ha haaaa haaaaa!
ANIMAL: NWA? NWA! Ha haaa. The NWA is the minor leagues pal!
MAN: These two are NOT minor leagues. THey just need a shot! That's all, just a shot!
HAWK: Well, little man, since we are the most dominant Tag Team in the LOWF, we have some pull. We'll give your team a shot. Next week, on TV. You bring your tag team and we'll be there to welcome them!
MAN (Jumping Up And Down): Oh man, you aren't going to regret it, well, I mean you are going to regret it, but you're...oh nevermind!
With that the man jumped out of the ring, over the barrier and raced out of the building. Looks like we'll be seeing him next week on TV in Burbank!
LOWF HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH The Iron Sheik d. King Kong Bundy by submission when he was able to wrest Bundy into the deadly Camel Clutch! The Sheik celebrated retaining his championship with Nikolai VOlkoff as we closed the book on the first ever WRESTLEMANIA!
