The NWA Presents: CLASH OF THE CHAMPIONS I
**Huge pyro display goes off**
Tony Schvione: "Welcome fans to the first Clash Of The Champions presented by the NWA. I'm Tony Schvione representing CSW and beside me to my right is Lance Russell from ECW and to my left is Jim Ross from WCCW. What a show we have for you tonight fans. 9 great matches including the quadruple main event featuring the three territories respective Championship matches."
Russell: "Thats right fans. We have been waiting this night since it was announced a month ago. So lets get to it."
Ross: "This will be the most historic night in NWA history. A slobber knocker for sure."
(CSW) Antonio Inoki and Giant Baba vs Larry Hennig and "Dr. Death" Steve Williams: **Backstory** These two teams just don't like each other. Every match between them have been fast but basically brawls. **The match**Before the match can start, NWA President Bill Watts comes out and says that he is making this a Texas Tornado Match. Right away the two teams paired off and Steve Williams went to work on Inoki. While "The Ax" went to work on Baba. Williams was nailing high impact stuff from the outset on Inoki. He nailed a "Doctor Bomb" which got a 2 count and then hit "THE OKLAHOMA STAMPEDE" for a long 2. Hennig threw Baba into the turnbuckle and charged but Baba moved! Hennig fell backwards and Baba got the pinfall before Williams new what was happening. At 4:08 your winners are Antonio Inoki and Giant Baba.
Schvione: "Very good match to start us off this evening."
Ross: "I'm surprised that Hennig got beat like that. He's tougher than a two dolla steak thats for sure."
(CSW) Ivan Koloff vs Sandman; No DQ: **Backstory** Another case of pure hatred. **The match** None of these guys brought out any toys. Sandman wins after a "White Russian Leg Sweep" @ 7:41
Russell: I'm amazed. A match in where the cane is legal, he only used it to perform his leg sweep. Now I've seen everything."
(ECW) DDP vs. Justin Credible W/Candido, Sunny, and Corino: **Backstory**In the first round of the NWA Tag Team Tourny, The New Impact Players, Credible and Candido, were defeated in a very good match by the eventual champion Fabulous Kangaroos. Later that night they decided to take out some frustrations. They chose to beat down DDP. After a couple weeks of fighting both by himself, DDP enlisted the help of Steve Corino. But he turned on DDP to create The Extreme Horsemen with Candido and Credible. **The match** Before the match started, ECW commish Paul Heyman came out and ordered Candido, Sunny and Corino to the back so there would be no interference. DDP completely dominated. After three straight moves from the top turnbuckle, he nailed a "Russian Leg Sweep" and rolled him up for the victory @ 3:10 After the match, Corino and Candido came out and slid in the ring. DDP got in a defensive stance and held them back until, through the crowd from behind, Sabu came out and threw a fireball into DDPs face. DDP writhed around in immense pain as security and medics rushed to the ring.
Ross: "That is a dispicable act by those guys."
Schvione: "Cowards is what they are J.R. Cowards."
Russell: "No place in this business for that kind of stuff."
Inter Promotional Match:(CSW) "Nature Boy" Buddy Rogers vs. (WCCW) Bobo Brazil: These 2 guys battled each other back and forth the entire match. An early pin attempt by Bobo Brazil after a "falling elbow" resulted in a 2 count. Back and forth it went. Buddy Rogers threw Brazil out of the ring and they started to brawl. The ref warned them both but neither would listen. The ref decided to DQ both men @ 20:57 A real finish would have garnered a 5 star rating. only receives a 4 star.
Ross: "A helluva match up right there. I would love to see that one again."
**NWA President Bill Watts comes out and announces that at Clash Of The Champions II, the NWA will hold a tournament to crown the first NWA Champion. This champion will not only represent all three of the territories but the NWA as a whole.
Russell: "A tournament to crown an NWA Champion at the next Clash. Can't wait for that one fans."
(WCCW) Jimmy Snuka vs Cowboy Bob Orton; Cage match: **Backstory** At the second WCCW show, Snuka defeated Orton Jr. straight up but Orton Sr. came in and jumped Snuka. In an interview just a minute later, Orton Sr. said that Snuka cheated his boy and then Orton Jr. followed that up with calling Snuka a coconut eating and then something pertaining to him being fatherless. Snuka has dominated every match between them but always gets jumped after.**The match** Snuka was relentless. Orton managed a little offense but not enough. Snuka repeatedly rammed Ortons face into the cage, pinning him after Orton just dropped to the mat. 5:52
Ross: "Snuka the big winner here tonight. My has he been dominant. But now lets get ready for the first of the four main event matches."
WCCW Championship: (C)Nick Bockwinkle vs. Bruiser Brody: Bockwinkle is giving up 6 inches and almost 50 pounds. Brody has had a tough month. First being given a sedative before a match and then winning a number 1 contenders match followed by finding out who sedated him and taking him out plus his allies. **The match** Brody used the power advantage early basically just flinging Bockwinkle around. But Brodys mistake came when he threw Bockwinkle into the turnbuckle and Nick used it to his advantage. He took over and locked in a "BOCKWINKLE SLEEPER" but Brody made the rope. But an undeterred Bockwinkle just nailed a "knee smash to the back" for the victory @ 6:49
Ross: "Wow. Thats why he's the champ and probably the odds on favorite to become the NWA Champion."
Russell: "He does look impressive, thats for sure."
Schvione: "Wait a minute here. Bockwinkle can't light a candle to the CSW Champ Antonio Rocca. Or his challenger for that matter. Let's not crown his ass just yet."
Ross: "I wasn't impling anything Tony. I would say the same thing about him if he didn't happen to be where I announce. He is one of, if not the best. Besides, anything can happen as you are well aware of."
Schvione: "I apologize J.R. but I have pride in CSW and take it personally."
Russell: "Lets get back to the ring."
ECW Championship: (C)Johnny Valentine vs. Killer Kowalski: Valentine defeated three straight men to win the ECW Title. Kowalski was the last of these men. **The match** Valentine showed the same dominance he did in the gauntlet match. He pinned Kowalski @ 4:49 with a "forearm hammer" which was followed by two "ATOMIC SKULLCRUSHERS"
Russell: "Valentine continues to dominate ECW."
Ross: "A very impressive win indeed. Kowalski is no slouch."
NWA Tag Team Championship: (C)Fabulous Kangaroos W/Wild Red Berry vs. The Road Warriors W/Paul Ellering: These two teams faced each other in the finals of the tag tournament. After over a month, this is the rematch. **The match** During an intense match, the ref DQ'd the Warriors for not following the refs instructions, even though the Kangaroos were guilty of the same thing. Kangaroos win by DQ 7:43 The crowd was hugely upset.
CSW Championship: (C)Antonio Rocca vs. Iron Sheik: **Backstory** These two men fought in the finals of the CSW Championship tourny. Rocca won and Sheik surprisingly shook the hand of Rocca. Rocca and Sheik have developed sort of a friendship the last couple months. **The match** Rocca dominated and had Iron Sheik reeling. He hit an "ARGENTINIAN BACKBREAKER" for a 2 count. A few minutes later he locked on a "bow and arrow" but Sheik made the ropes. Nicholai Volkoff came out. Rocca hit another "ARGENTINIAN BACKBREAKER" but Volkoff interupted the match. Schvione: "What is going on. For months these two have acted like they were friends of Roccas?" Rocca retained control until he missed with a "tope suicida". Iron Sheik went to work. Going for a pin after a "sidewinder suplex" but getting 2. He then locked on the "CAMEL CLUTCH" and although Rocca fought he couldn't hang on and eventually tapped. At 13:43 Iron Sheik becomes the new CSW Champion. Nicholai Volkoff comes into the ring and he and Iron Sheik start to kick Rocca. Volkoff then nails Rocca with a devastating "BACKBREAKER DROP".
Schvione: "What the hell. These two convinced us all that they were his friends and then backstab him. There will be hell to pay I'm sure."
