The Year 2122
Kennedy was sitting at his computer and talking to his best friend Eric on a holo-phone.
“Ken, go to the site ‘Saturn Girls Gone Wild’ and check out the ‘rings’ on the babes there.”
Ken pulls up the site.
“Dude! They are HOT!”
“I know! That is one of my favorite sites. Hey, are you going to Verne’s party tomorrow?”
“What’s a party without the Kenster! Of course I will be there!”
A voice shouts out “KEN!”
“Dude, it’s my mom. Let me put you on hold.”
Ken’s mom enters the room.
“KENNEDY VINCENT! When are you going to get away from that computer and do something with your life? If your Great, Great, Great, Great, Great grandfather had just sat in front of a computer and partied all his life, we would never have our fortune. Do you want to be successful like your Great, Great, Great, Great, Great grandpa or do you want to be a known as a slacker?”
“MOM! I have plans. I just need time to…”
“Kennedy, I have had enough of this talk of plans. If you don’t go out and make something of yourself soon, I will have to kick you out of our mansion.”
“Mom, I am working on a couple of things…”
“You have 6 lunar cycles to prove to me that you are doing something with your life or it is out on the streets for you.”
Kennedy’s mom leaves the room.
Kennedy turns the holo-phone back on.
“Eric, dude, my mom is such a pain.”
“What happened?”
“She got on my case again about ‘making something of myself’. If I have to hear one more time about how great my Great, Great, Great, Great, Great Grandpa was, I am go supernova!”
“Dude, listen up. The best way to make your mom stop talking about your Great, Great….I keep forgetting how many greats there are. Anyway, the best way to make her stop talking about him is to do something even bigger and better than he ever did.”
“How am I ever going to do something bigger and better than the old dude.”
“We can talk about it later. Let’s get back to talking about Verne’s party. How are we going to make our entrance……………”
Kennedy tunes out his friend as he begins thinking of ways to become more famous than his Great, Great, Great, Great, Great Grandfather. Kennedy is scared about undertaking this adventure, but yet it excites him at the same time.
