The Legends of Wrestling Entertainment company, in association with JMello Productions presents the "So you think you can book" challenge. First up will be mwjergs (booking the Raw brand) and sickman (booking the Smackdown brand). Roster were selected randomly, results were based on the dice, but skits, attacks, interviews, etc. were based on the booker. First up Monday Night Raw 10/8/07....

“Good evening. My name is Mr. J and I have been placed in charge of RAW. Now you may think that this new position makes me an important man. But I am merely one piece of the puzzle. For you see I am booking for my job. I have wife and children to feed and I need this job! So I will do whatever it takes to please the fans, but more importantly my benefactor and boss. So I can only hope that everyone is excited and entertained by our superstars this evening. So enough talk! We have titles to fill and I assure everyone that each of the titles, the Inter-Continental, the WWE Tag Team and the WWE Championship will be crowned tonight! If I could call these men to the ring –
Richard Hutton (Chorus of Boos)
“Hacksaw” Jim Duggan (Cheers and a USA chant)
Buff Bagwell (Louder Boos)
Rikidozan (Polite cheers)

You are the first match of the evening, gentleman. A Fatal Four way match and the winner is the new Inter-Continental champion. Let’s get an official in the ring and get to it.

-Fatal Four Way- Winner to become Inter-Continental champion-
1) “Hacksaw” Duggan vs. Buff Bagwell vs. Rikidozan vs. Richard Hutton

Each competitor had a chance at a some near falls. The action spilled to the outside as Bagwell hit the BLOCKBUSTER on Rikidozan but before he could get the fall Duggan SPEARED him over the ropes. This allowed Hutton to pick up the Japanese star and lock in the ABDOMINAL STRETCH. The ref had no choice but to ring the bell and crown Hutton the champion.
Winner: Hutton by submission @ 11:23

BACKSTAGE:
(Mr. J is sitting behind a desk with his laptop furiously typing. A knock on his door reveals, “Ravishing” Rick Rude.)
Mr.J: Yes, what can I do for you?
RR: I heard the start of the show and I thought I give you some advice. What the people really want is more of well. Me. I am the reflection of perfection and the ratings would go through the roof if I were the focus of the show.
Mr. J: I see.
RR: You know what else people really like. Ladies. Lots of them. Big, small, tall, whatever. They don’t even have to wrestle. It doesn’t even have to make any sense in the show.
Mr. J: Ok. I’ll take it under advisement. But, as you can see I’m quite busy and I need to get to the ring but I may be calling on you later tonight.
RR: Oh, I am always ready.

IN RING:
“If I could call your attention to these gentlemen and if they could appear on the ramp way to receive further instructions.
Brutus Beefcake and Greg Valentine – The Dream Team
The Fabulous Kangaroos
Curt and Larry Hennig – The Double Axe Attack
Bob and Brad Armstrong

You four teams have been entered in the WWE Tag Team championship challenge. One of you will be crowned tag team champions at the end of the program. If Mr. Beefcake and Mr. Valentine could make their way to the ring as you will face the Armstrongs, right now. Please note that the Kangaroos and the Hennigs you will be up next in the second semi-final. Good luck to all.

-WWE Tag Team Championship – Semi/Final-
2) The Dream Team vs. Bob & Brad Armstrong

The Armstrongs started quickly with frequent tags to keep their foes off balance. However the Hammer and Brother Bruti turned things around as they isolated the younger Brad in the corner. They finally finished things off after Beefcake locked in the SLEEPER and Bob tried to intervene but was stopped by the official.
Winners: Dream Team by submission @ 10:54

BACKSTAGE:
(Mr. J is continuing his work, when there is another knock on the door. This time it is Ed “Strangler” Lewis with his Headlock Machine.)

Mr J: Yes.
SL: Hey pal, let me have a word with ya. I have the solution to your problems. You know what we need to get back to - old time wrestling. OLD TIME WRESTLING! One hour time limits for every match. Five out of Eleven falls. That way you eliminate all the pretty boys and pansies that overrun our great sport and highlight athleticism.
(Lewis stops to get a few more headlock reps in.)
Real men fighting each other. You know.
Mr. J: OK. You don’t think that people would get bored by that style.
SL: Bored. How could get bored with a nice leg trip or armbar?
Mr. J: Some people may not find headlocks all that exciting.
SL: What?! Hey I challenge any of these lightweights to break out of one of my Headlocks. It can’t be done. You want me to show you? (Reaches for Mr.J)
Mr. J: No thank you. But, you may get a chance to prove your theories tonight.

-WWE Tag Team Championship – Semi/Final-
3) The Double Axe Attack vs. The Fabulous Kangaroos (w/Wild Red Berry)

A wild match between these two team saw numerous double teams and Berry trying his best to interfere. All four men were in the ring and Curt Hennig quickly applied his HENNIG-PLEX to pin a surprised Roy Heffernan and advance to the finals.
Winners: Double Axe Attack by pin @ 17:21

4) Order of Elimination

1-Rude by Snuka @ 2:45. Snuka gave the Ravishing one a solid pair of headbutts as he flew from the ring.
2-Snuka by Baba @ 2:52 Baba was opportunistic as he scooped up Superfly and threw him over the ropes.
3-Masked Superstar by DiPaulo @ 4:43. The Italian star hit a beautiful dropkick to send him over the ropes.
4-Lewis by Baba @ 6:03. Baba hit several chops and threw the star back on his head.
5-DiPaulo by Vachon @ 8:32. Vachon blindsided the Italian.
6-Baba by Londos @ 10:21. Londos outwitted the slower Baba, as he charged him , Londos ducked.
7-Brody by Vachon @ 12:32. Vachon used an object from his tights to knock him over.
8-Vachon by Londos @ 12:45. Londos ducked aside as Vachon charged him.

(Mr. J was in his office when another knock is at the door. It is Red Berry.)
Mr. J: Enter please.
RB: Yes my good fellow. I would like a word about the shoddy officiating and the blatant racism displayed against people from Austrialia. I would-
Mr. J: You had your opportunity and lost. Good day.
RB: But I-
Mr.J: I said Good day. If you want to whine about losing go elsewhere you write a blog or something.
RB: Blog? I must protest. This is an egregious error. I must be heard.
Mr.J: Goodbye or should I get security in here.
RB: I shall not quit this chair until I have been heard.
Mr. J: Security!
(Bruiser Brody walks in the room and Berry slowly slinks away.)

-WWE Tag Team championship- NO DQ- NO Time Limit-
5) The Dream Team vs. The Double Axe Attack

A match they went back and forth with many near falls. Valentine was in control and had just hit a SHOULDER BREAKER on Curt. RED BERRY made his way to ringside to talk with the official. He shouted comments that distracted both the ref and Valentine. This gave Curt the edge he needed as he quickly locked in the HENNIG-PLEX and gained the titles.

-WWE Championship – No DQ – NO Time Limit-
6) “Golden Greek” Jim Londos vs. The Destroyer

A fantastic match between these two men as they tried all they could to gain the belt. The highlight was Londos powering out of the FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK and getting to the ropes. The end saw Londos reverse another Leglock attempt into a BOSTON CRAB. Destroyer had nowhere to go and tapped in the center of the ring. Londos was overjoyed as he held the belt over his head.

This just in LWE reports the signing of a new legend. Rumor has it this he has held 2 Heavyweight Titles and 5 Tag Titles in the past. No doubt this will be an important signing. Which brand will reap the rewards?

**The big screen shows an office with a man sitting in the chair but you can not make out what he looks like.**

"Welcome everyone to Smackdown!! (applause) My name is Scott Heyman, although that isn't important. What is important is great wrestling action. And that is what we intend to bring you. So I will say that we have two Championships being decided by 4 participant tournaments. Both the World Heavyweight Title and World Tag Team Titles. Without further adu; LET'S GO TO THE RING!!"

Cole: "This is Michael Cole alongside JBL here in Orlando, Florida. JBL, an incredible night tonight."

JBL: "It's always incredible when I'm in town Michael. But when you have 2 diffewrent titles being decide by one night tournaments; thats a whole different realm."

JBL: "What an upset Michael. The Express were clearly the favorite going into this tournament and they make with a first round exit.

Buddy Rogers vs Johnny Valentine: Rogers d. Valentine using Figure Four Grapevine.

Cole: "The "Nature Boy" wins over a very tough opponent in Valentine. Wait a minute. I'm getting word that there is a commotion in the back."

**Backstage: Someone is writhing around in pain on the floor. He's covering his face with his hands. Pieces of burnt mask are lying around.

Cole: "Who is that? Thats..........THATS.....MIL MASCARAS!! Who would have done such a cowardly act?"

Cole: "Fans. Mil Mascaras has been taken to the Florida Hospital here in Orlando. We hope to have an update later in the show.

**The Sheik comes out and walks towards Cole and JBL.

Sheik: "You want an update on Mascaras? He shouldn't play with fire! (maniacal laughter)

Cole: "Thats just sick. Get out of here"

Cole: "Bockwinkle has done it!! Nick Bockwinkle is the World Heavyweight Champion!"

JBL: "It doesn't end here though Cole. This is just the beginning for Nick and he knows it."

**Show ends with Bockwinkle standing in the middle of the ring holding the belt high in the air.

Mr. J: Ladies and gentlemen I hoped that last week’s show was more than enjoyable and I hope to deliver another fantastic show here tonight. But, first if I could please bring out the man that proved himself to be the best last week, the new WWE champion, “The Golden Greek” Jim Londos!
(Londos is dressed in a suit and tie with the belt folded in his arms. He shakes hands with fans as he makes his way to the ring.)
JL: Thank you very much. I am so happy to have a chance to compete and as long as the fans are behind me, I can do anything.
Mr.J: You were very impressive last week, not only in the Battle Royal but against the legendary masked man, The Destroyer.
(The Destroyer appears on the ramp with his own mic.)
D: I knew that at some point someone was going mention the name of the Super, Intelligent Destroyer. Did you forget to mention that the incompetent referee must be seeing things? I have never, ever submitted in a wrestling match and that is the absolute truth. I am a competitor and I want to challenge you Londos to put up or shut up and be the first to get a title shot right here tonight.
Mr.J : Sir. I appreciate your enthusiasm but I have the plan for tonight’s show.
D: Don’t protect that greaseball, booker man. Let me speak for himself, in whatever broken English he can muster.
L: I---
(Mad Dog Vachon is out on the ramp, back by Butcher Vachon with his own mic.)
MDV: Hey. Listen. If you are going to talk about challenges and the miscarriage of justice, it is me. Londos you are nothing but a cheater and as everyone know, cheaters never prosper. I want to challenge you tonight!
Mr. J: Wait. (looks at his board and starts writing and scratching out) Tonight we have a new main event. But first, can we hear from the champ?
L: Yes. It doesn’t matter who wants to get in the ring for this. I will show you how great I am.
Mr. J: Our Main event will be Jim Londos against The Destroyer against Mad Dog Vachon in a Triple Threat Match. May the best man win!

-Tag Team Contenders Match-
1) Red Scare vs. The Dream Team

This was a special tag team contenders match. Beefcake was in trouble after numerous double teams and Red Bastein hit an ATOMIC DROP that sealed the match but, Greg Valentine hit the ring and dropped the HAMMER and broke up the pin. He wasn’t stopping there, he continued to ignore the official’s instructions and then slugged him as he got too close. This led to Bastein getting dumped over the top rope and Red Lyons on the receiving end of a Spike Piledriver by Valentine and Beefcake.
Winner: Red Scare by Disqualification @ 9:33
*Lyons out 1 card

BACKSTAGE:
(Strangler Lewis is practicing on his Headlock machine in the locker room when Buff Bagwell walks past.)
BB: Say grandpa, what are you doing?
(Lewis, focused on his training.)
BB: I’m talking to you dinosaur.
SL: I’m training! Always training.
BB: You’re working on headlocks?
SL: I have the most powerful headlock in the world. You want to see?
BB: Actually you smell like old socks and tuna fish. No thanks.
SL: I figured, pretty boy pansy. I challenge you to get in the ring and break out if this HEADLOCK. If you can I will leave RAW, right now and I’ll give you $10,000.
BB: Really?
SL: No doubt.
BB: You’re on pops. See you in the ring.

-Strangler’s Headlock challenge-
2) “Strangler” Lewis vs. Buff Bagwell

The rules were simple if at any point when Lewis applied his headlock and Bagwell could escape, the match was over and Bagwell would win the match and the prize money. Bagwell made a stupid mistake. He actually stood on the center of the ring and dared Lewis to apply his hold. Lewis obliged locked in the STRANGLER”S HEADLOCK and held on for dear life. Bagwell was screaming in pain and almost passed out as the official dropped his hand a final time.
Winner: Lewis by submission @ 1:04

BACKSTAGE:
(Curt Hennig is backstage getting ready to find his locker room when Red Berry stops him.)

RB: Excuse me young man, might I have a word with you.
CH: What do you want?
RB: No trouble. I’m just a learned man who craves knowledge and wanted you to tell me about your finish hold, the Fisherman suplex. It’s quite unique.
CH: Wouldn’t you like to know. Some people say that it’s well..perfect.
RB: Indeed, but show me how it’s best applied.
CH: Show you? (smiling)
RB: Yes, just hook me in it and show me so I might learn.
(Hennig shrugs and hooks Berry in. At that point both Fabulous Kangaroos rush out and double team Curt to the ground using their boomerangs to cut him open and then all three leave the scene.)
RB: Hope you learned something? Tah, Tah.

3) Bruiser Brody vs. Giant Baba

Baba entered the ring with his interpreter, Hiro Nakimura. Hiro translated as Baba berated the American crowd and said that in Japan his entry to the ring would have been greeted with thunderous applause, streamers and lovely geishas. What a disgrace! Soon after Brody stomped to the ring and the match began. Brody controlled the later action after taking Baba’s best shot. The Wildman finished things off with a PILEDRIVER for the win.
Winner: Brody by pin @ 12:51

-WWE Tag Team Title Match-
4) Double Axe Attack © vs. The Fabulous Kangaroos (w/Wild Red Berry)

Curt came to the ring with bandage on his forehead as Berry chuckled to himself. The Hennings were visably angry and took the fight to their challengers. They were in fine form and as the match was almost slipped away, Larry hit the AXE on Al Costello. This prompted Berry to jump up into the ring and bring his cane down on Larry’s back. The ref called for the bell and both Kangeroos were driven from the ring. Berry wasn’t quick enough as Curt caught him with a right hand that sent him flying!
Winners: Double Axe Attack by Disqualification @ 16:23

BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW
(Todd Grisham is standing with the Inter-Continental champion, Richard Hutton)
TG: First let me congratulate you on your victory.
(Stares at Grisham)
Ok, tonight you face one of the men you had to go through in the great Rikidozan. What are your plans for tonight?
(Again stares at Grisham)
Do you have anything to say?
RH: Just watch the match. I do all of my talking in the ring and you’ll see why I’m number one!

-Inter-Continental Title Match – 2 out 3 Falls-
5) #1 Richard Hutton © vs. Rikidozan

Hutton put on a wrestling clinic in this one. The Japanese star hardly got out of the blocks and lost both falls. The first with the ABDOMINAL STRETCH and the second after an ATOMIC DROP. Hutton truly dominated the action as he walked away with his belt and one finger held in the air.

-WWE Championship – Triple Threat Match-
6) “Golden Greek” Jim Londos © vs. The Destroyer vs. Mad Dog Vachon

Another excellent main event. At times, the challengers even joined together to double team the champion but in the end they hurt each other. Londos took advantage as he dropkicked Destroyer to the floor and applied a BOSTON CRAB to Mad Dog Vachon who could only tap out as Londos retained the belt.
