One last note before I go back to packing:
Jericho reffed a multi-brand tag team match (Batista/Cena vs. Orton/Edge) in Cape Town during the South African tour. After the match, which Cena won with an FU on Edge. After the match Jericho got on the microphone and mocked the faces.
There's been no official signing as of now but Jericho seems to be back on his way to the WWE after a two-year hiatus.

The Green Bay crowd explodes and Arn plays to the crowd with the four fingers and then grabs a microphone. "A lot of people have been running around here acting like they're a part of something they don't understand. A part of something that's bigger than them, a part of something you're born into, you're chosen for! You don't choose yourself, there are a group of men who choose you.
The harsh reality of being a horseman is that you can't just play dress-up and be a horseman. You can't slap a label on deersh*t and expect it be venison. I want the four men claiming to be horsemen to get out here right now. Get out here and look me in the eye and say, 'Double A, we have what it takes. So that when you're watching us on television and we hold these four fingers up, you KNOW that we're going to give it everything that we have.'
Come out here and prove to me, prove to the world you deserve to be a Horseman."The Four Horsemen come out to the ring and Kennedy grabs a microphone. "Don't do your entrance, Kennedy. It's not playtime in the ring with Double A! It's time for you to prove to me that you're a man. That you've got everything it takes, you've got everything you need. Tell me right now, Kennedy. What are you going to do to show me you're a Horseman?"There's a silence throughout the arena. Just when Kennedy goes to answer Shane McMahon's music plays throughout the arena. "You know, Kennedy, there's a simple answer to all of this. Arn wants you to prove you can be a Horseman and you and your shameless mother are trying to intrude on mine and Stephanie's inheritance of the McMahon family fortune that we've helped to build.
Sounds like we all have a little business to do. So I've got an idea! Tonight, right here in your hometown, how about we give these fans a preview of the Street Fight on Sunday! Tonight in Green Bay...Mr. Kennedy and Shan McMahon in a street fight!"
"Since Kennedy owes me a little something, I say that's the way he's going to earn his Horseman name! If you don't....I've got some friends to take care of you."Texas Bullrope Match: Cody Rhodes defeated The Sandman- Fun as all hell gimmick match. Sandman was laying into Cody with the bullrope and Cody had a pretty nice blade job. Match ended when Cade slipped a title belt to Sandman who got nailed with it and Rhodes dragged him around to each corner for the victory. Londrick came down to the ring post-match and had a stare down with the Outlaws. J.R. announced that there is a Tag Title match next week on RAW. Santino Marella had an interview and William Regal approached him. Regal told Marella that his match with Umaga at Unforgiven is a first blood match with the Loser Leaving RAW. MITB QUALIFYING MATCH #1: Shelton Benjamin defeated King Booker- Whoa! That was a pretty big upset as Benjamin claims a spot in the RAW MITB match at Unforgiven. J.R. is playing him up as a big underdog. Umaga is seen backstage when he is attacked by Santino Marella! Marella beats him down with a chair and cuts the Samoan Bulldozer with a shard of table. He is torn away by WWE Security Guards. "I do this for Maria! I do this for the little girls! I will kill you off RAW on Sunday! You will be gone forever!"MITB QUALIFYING MATCH #2: Carlito defeated Bobby Lashley- Another huge upset! Carlito will meet Benjamin in his MITB match. Arn was on commentary during this one and said that Carlito has to prove himself on Sunday before holding up the four fingers. NON-TITLE MATCH
WWE Women's champion Candice Michelle defeated VictoriaAfter the match Trish Stratus came down to the ring. "After all I did for this division. After all the blood, sweat, and tears that came from to make women's wrestling legitimate and not a sideshow, this is the thanks I get? A playboy bunny and GoDaddy girl running around with my belt?
I didn't show my boobs to the world, Candice. I didn't take my panties off for thirteen year old boys to gawk at on the internet. I kept them on and let those men who wanted to objectify me turn on RAW and watch me for what I am. A woman who dominates in a man's world! A woman who straps on the boots and comes out every night and makes the men WISH they could do what I do.
On Sunday night at Unforgiven, Candice. I'm going to put you through Hell. "You can bet your last pretty penny that I'll be there, JR. The doctors have said 'No, champ. Don't do it! Don't go in and risk your career.' But this is about something more. Ya know, JR? This is about my pride and my manhood against Randy Orton. He made them stop the match at SummerSlam but he's not going to make them stop Unforgiven."STREET FIGHT: Mr. Kennedy defeated Shane McMahon- Other than HBK/Cena earlier in the yeare, this was the greatest RAW match of 2007. It went 45 minutes and saw these two brawl all over the arena, break both announce tables, a Van Terminator, two busted steel chairs, and much, much more. A bloody Kennedy barely put his arm over Shane as RAW came to an end. Arn Anderson left the announce table. "Get up, son! Raise those four fingers! Ladies and gentleman, the first member of the Four Horseman: Ken Kennedy!"RAW fades to black with Arn helping a bloody Kennedy to the back. |

September 11, 2007 The crowd is chanting "ECW! ECW! ECW!" as Joey Styles stands in the middle of the ring. "OH MY GAWWWWD!
Welcome to another edition of Extreme Championship Wrestling! We've got one of the biggest ECW shows in recent history as tonight CM Punk defends his ECW Title against Marcus Cor Von! We will also see Elijah Burke go one-on-one with C.M. Punk's associate, Colt Cabana! The Miz and Balls Mahony have had some problems, mostly related to Kelly, but tonight they will settle their differences in an Extreme Rules match! All of this and much more tonight on E..C..W!"The opening video package rolls. EXTREME RULES MATCH
Balls Mahony defeated The MizGood match to start off ECW. Pretty long as well. Match ended when Miz went to smash Balls with a trash can but Balls hit the can with a steel chair causing the can to hit Miz in the face. After the match, Balls grabbed a microphone. "I did it! Kelly, I did it! We can finally be together! I have freed you of The Miz!"Kelly continues to tend to The Miz and Balls grabs her by the arm. "Didn't you hear me, Kelly? I freed you! You don't have to be by his side! You can finally be mine!"Kelly grabs the microphone. "I don't want to be with you, Balls! We're just friends! That's all we can ever be!"
"But....why, Kelly?"
"Because....well.....look at you!"Balls gets very distraught by this and rolls out of the ring but on his way out he sees the chair that he defeated The Miz with and grabs it rolling back into the ring. "Don't do this, Kelly. Don't stay with him when you can have me!"
"I don't want you, Balls."Balls smashes Kelly with the chair! "If...if....if I can't have you, nobody will!"Balls throws the lifeless Kelly over his shoulder and heads to the back. Colt Cabana defeated Elijah Burke via count-out- Another good long match. With Balls/Miz going ten and this going about twenty, that's only going to leave match time for the main event. Colt and Elijah worked a straight Euro style match. The end saw Burke trying to get back into the ring after he and Colt had been fighting outside of it. Colt ran into the ropes as Elijah was climbing in and Burke flew into the guardrail. Tommy Dreamer is standing backstage when Paul Heyman walks up to him. "Not booked again, Dreamer? What a shame!"Dreamer grabs Heyman by his jacket and shoves him against a wall. "SHUT YOUR MOUTH, HEYMAN! YOU'VE BEEN BACK FOR TWO WEEKS AND ALREADY...ALREADY I'M ANNOYED WITH YOU! IF YOU SAY ONE MORE THING, LOOK AT ME THE WRONG WAY, I'M GOING TO DO WHAT I SHOULD HAVE DONE WHEN MY CHECKS STARTED BOUNCING: KICK YOUR A** ALL OVER THE ARENA!"ECW WORLD TITLE
ECW World champion CM Punk defeated Marcus Cor Von via DQ when Mick Foley interfered- Good match between these two as Punk was playing scared heel to Cor Von's intense, prepared babyface. When Cor Von had Punk ready for the POUNCE, Foley (who had been at the broadcast table) jumped and grabbed Punk and began punching him. Costing Cor Von the match. Foley took a chair and beat Punk. He slammed Punk into the broadcast table. But then he grabbed a large bag out from under the ring and pulled out....THE BARBED WIRE BASEBALL BAT! He began beating Punk's back with it and as Punk laid broken and defeated on the floor, Foley grabbed a microphone. "I'm not doing this for me, Punker. I'm doing it for you. I'm going to make sure you become WWE Style! I'm going to make sure that next year in Orlando, FL you're headlining because that's you deserve to be! Dammit, if you're not going to do it yourself...I'm going to make you! BANG, BANG!"ECW fades to black... |

Handicap Match
Londrick defeated WWE Tag Team champions The Texas Outlaws to win the titles!!!Great way to kick off the show! The Outlaws were using their size, and manpower, advantage early until Londrick broke out the speed and high flying. Match ended when Kendrick hit SLICED BREAD on Cade to win the tag straps! RATING: **** PAY-PER-VIEWWWE Women's Title
Trish Stratus defeated WWE Women's champion Candice Michelle to win the title!- The best women's match in the WWE in a long time, if not ever. Match started with Trish trying to one-up Candice, who clearly brought her A-Game, and refused to be shown up by Trish. Trish then tried to heel it up using under handed tactics but Candice refused to fall for it! Eventually Trish just started pounding away on the nose of Candice, which she had broken earlier, with some very stiff shots. Candice continued to fight but Trish was just too much. After the match, Stratus spit on Michelle and posed with the title. RATING: ****1/4 WWE PURE WRESTLING TITLE
WWE Pure Wrestling champion Dave Taylor defeated Jamie Knoble to retain the title.- Another great match! Taylor was using the old McGuinness role while he held the ROH version of the title here, while Knoble just wanted him to get in the ring and go. Lots of matwork here which seemed fifty-fifty in terms of crowd reaction. Knoble did a great job selling his role of crusierweights can wrestle. Match ended when Knoble missed a turnbuckle charge. RATING: ***1/2 Triple H defeated Jeff Hardy- Something is in the water, it has to be. Another great match with the story being that HHH just couldn't beat Hardy in a singles match. He hit the PEDIGREE twice and saw Jeff kick out once and get his foot under the rope on the second attempt. Jeff almost had the bout won but Trips got his foot on the rope. A third PEDIGREE grounded Hardy. But a limping HHH went to the back, exasperated. RATING: ***3/4 STEEL CAGE MATCH
WWE UNITED STATES TITLE
WWE United States champion MVP defeated Matt Hardy to retain the title.- WOW! Probably the greatest straight cage match since Bret/Owen. Matt with a pretty great blade job and MVP playing the role of heel who does everything but Hardy's got FIGHTING SPIRIT~! Finally MVP got out of the cage while a bloody Hardy just passed out in the middle ring. RATING: ****1/2 After the match, the Midnight Express theme hit and out came Jim Cornette! "For the past few years, I've been lingering around in the indies! I've lingering around talking to wrestling fans, talking to wrestlers, asking people what they think is wrong with the business! Years ago I said that all you people, wrestling fans, watch a wrestling show to see wrestlers wrestle! That comment is no less relevant today on September 16, 2007 than it was then!
But no one listens to me! No one listens to you! Because they don't care! They don't want to care! They want to be stuck in their sheltered lives of nepotism and elitism, feeding you what they want to feed you! Dammit, I'm sick and tired of it! That's not professional wrestling! That's some narcissistic need of Vince McMahon's to prove that he knows more about this thing than any of us!
Not anymore! I've been holed up in an amusement park for the last year or so and I've been surrounded by clowns trying to run a wrestling promotion. I come back here and it's more of the same! Vince McMahon I'd like nothing more than for you to come out here and let me shoot you in the head but there are repercussions to that I'm just not willing to face!
Besides death is too easy for some people. People like you McMahon and I know there is only way to rid these fans, and myself, of you! To strip every last ounce of your pride away from you! To take this wrestling federation, the only thing that you have, away from you!! To put you back in the broadcast booth just so you can draw a paycheck and pay for Stephanie's breast enlargement and reductions!
Starting tomorrow night on RAW's Homecoming, there will be a new group! A group that focuses on one thing: WRESTLING. A group of wrestlers that deserve that title! Not guys running around in short pants and spinner belts! This group is called the The International Wrestling Coalition and it's comprised of men who does this for love, honor, and passion!

WWE Intercontinental champion Umaga defeated Santino Marella- Quick and easy. Umaga squashes Marella who came out and wanted to speak to Umaga. Marella has to go to SD! Who's going to stop Umaga? RATING: DUD SIX-MAN TAG MATCH
Edge, Deuce & Domino w/ Cherry defeated WWE World Heavyweight champion Batista and WWE World Tag Team champions Hardcore Holly & Rey Mysterio when Edge pinned Holly.- All Edge had to do was get the pinfall and he did it! A quick pin of Hardcore Holly after the spear gives Edge at shot at the champion at No Mercy! Holly and Mysterio prepare for their Tag Team title defense against The Undertaker and Kane Friday night on SD! RATING: DUD RAW MITB
Shelton Benjamin defeated Carlito- Great, great, great! Benjamin was a bump and spot machine, with Carlito pulling out the occasional bump and spot as well. Benjamin wins in a very emotional moment and J.R. talks about Shelton finally reaching the top of the mountain and becoming the number one contender. We will hear his thoughts tomorrow night on RAW. RATING: ****1/2 The Undertaker defeated Mark Henry- Quick, fast, and easy. Taker squashes Henry who, by all reports, is now gone from the E. RATING: DUD MEMPHIS STREET FIGHT
WWE TITLE
WWE champion John Cena defeated Randy Orton to retain the title.- Story of the match was Cena DEFYING DOCTOR'S ORDERS~! and going through with the contest. Orton kept focusing on Cena's head and trying to nail the champ with a chair but Cena kept ducking out of the way. Both were busted wide open at the end of the match (Cena rivaling his blood loss from SummerSlam) and match ended with Cena doing the STFU on the announcers table. A bloody Cena held the title high over his head in celebration. RATING: ****3/4 |
