Vice shocked the wrestling world by defeating Morpheus with his "Head Vise" to claim the title in what was supposed to be a "throwaway" defense for the seven-time champion. He proved his victory to be more than a fluke when he defeated Morpheus in the rematch, and successfully defended the title in a hard fought match against Commander Sam at Starcade. Will he continue to shake the label of "transitional champion" in the inevitable face-off against Omega?

Thrown together as a fluke, to fill an opening due to injury, the team of Alpha Flight has proven their dominance, capturing the Tag Team Titles from the Bounty Hunters in November and holding onto them through a grueling pair of matches in December. They've already defeated Polarity to retain the titles, but the strength of the dichotomous team's record puts them in line for another rematch. Will they be more successful the second time around?

The GWF crowned its first Interplanetary Champ at Starcade, with Blood emerging as the sole survivor of a tournament plagued with injuries and sneak attacks. The man he defeated, Thantos, is the obvious top contender, but speculation abounds that he will decline the opportunity to re-focus his attention on the tag team ranks, where he and Star Warrior have been on a steady downward slide. If so, the first challenger will probably be drawn from the upper ranks of the Top Ten Rankings: Hyperion and Ace Deadly both seem likely candidates.
