Since I'm on the selection committee thought I'd post Brett Schwan's news release about nominations for the the Independent Wrestling Hall of Fame, which he has set up at www.wrestlingclothesline.com

The mission of WrestlingClothesline.com's Independent Wrestling Hall of Fame (WCIWHF) is to maintain organized volunteerism that preserves and promotes the history of independent professional wrestling. Our purpose is to honor and pay tribute to professional wrestlers who have advanced this business in terms of athletics and entertainment.
From today until August 23rd, visitors of WrestlingClothesline.com will be given the opportunity to nominate ANYONE they feel is deserving of being inducted into the WrestlingClothesline.com Independent Wrestling Hall of Fame by sending their choices to WresClothesline@aol.com or by posting on our message board. cactusb.proboards18.com/index.cgi
The only criteria is that a nominated wrestler or promoter have spent a majority of their wrestling careers on the indy scene and have made a positive impact in independent wrestling. Anyone who has worked on the independent wrestling circuit, for an extended period of time, is eligible.
On August 24, all nominees names will be put on the ballot. At that point, the ballot containing all the nominees names will be sent to the members of the Selection Committee, who will narrow the list down to those people they feel are most deserving of being inducted into the Independent Wrestling Hall of Fame.

The Selection Process:
1. The WCIWHF Board of Directors will recognize all nominations sent to them at WresClothesline@aol.com or posted on their Message Board by any and all visitors to WrestlingClothesline.com
2. All nominated persons will be included on the official ballot.
3. The ballots shall be sent to the entire Selection Committee no later than August 24 of this year and the ballots shall be returned from the Selection Committee no later than September 5 of this year. Any unreturned ballots shall not be counted if received after the final vote tabulation occurs.
4. One wrestler from each of the following categories shall be inducted each year:
LADY WRESTLER
PROMOTER
TAG-TEAM
NON-PARTICIPANT
PIONEER LADY
MANAGER
In addition, two wrestlers will be inducted annually in the PIONEER SINGLES category (those who were forefathers on the indy scene which led to their success in major federations) and three wrestlers in the MODERN ERA SINGLES (those who spent the majority of their careers on the indy scene but never got the big break they deserved) category.
5. A plurality of votes shall determine the inductees.
6. Following final tabulation of votes, the results shall be presented on WrestlingClothesline.com
