well....i am only in 2088 (middle)...but, so far, one of the more interesting feuds was a 3-way feud involving Spike vs. Thantos vs. Wolf for the GWF Title.
When I first brought Spike into the GWF sometime in the middle of 2087, he and Wolf went head on in a big feud, giving them the Match of the Year at RingWars I, in a Hell in the Cell. I wrote up some back-story between Wolf and Spike from when they were on Aethra. Well, Spike couldn't beat Wolf for nothing, but here is the backstory for your reading pleasure:
"Johnny Rockett seems to have an exclusive report on the history between Wolf and Spike!! Rockett is in the media center, sitting at a table, with a vid monitor behind him. He explains that the there wasn’t always “bad blood” between Spike and Wolf. In fact, the two grew up closer than brothers. Wolf was originally a slave, a child caught as a casualty of war. His blood parents were slaughtered in an Aethran assault on Andromeda 13, and Wolf was taken as a slave-child. Wolf shown strong resistance, to the point, where nothing the Gladiators could do was working as far as breaking his spirit. So, the “Watchers” (the Aethrans put in charge of the young slave-children) decided the best thing to do would be to breed Wolf. If they could not break him, then they would use his savagery to their benefit. They moved Wolf to a “home”. These homes were nothing more than cells, where the future of the Aethran race would grow into the war-mongering machines that the Galaxy has come to fear. It just so happens that Spike was in the cell next to Wolf. The two formed a bond, a “blood covenant” between each other, to protect, and watch the other’s back. As they grew, they became more and more dominant in the “cell-fights” that the “Level-Watchers” (These are the Aethrans in charge of the youngster Aethrans, in their training for warfare and hand-to-hand combat) would hold for their own interest and recreation. This bond, and this teamwork led them to “join” the Aethran War Combat Federation (AWCF), the Aethran “wrestling” federation. The two quickly dominated the tag team charts, winning and holding the AWCF Tag Team Titles for an unheard of 9 years straight (it was during the latter part of these 9 years, that Wolf entered into his Cleansing). They not only defeated their opponents, but permanently injured them in the process. They had the tag team name of “Aethran Blood”. Eventually, Spike, in his quest for glory, wanted to dominate the singles charts, and violently turned on his “covenant brother”. Spike injured and put Wolf out of the AWCF. Wolf trained and put himself through a living hell, seeking only revenge, but the eve before he was to re-enter and challenge the AWCF Champion, Spike, the War Minister decided to send 3 Aethrans into the famed GWF. This was the year 2085. Since Aethrans were not to “argue” concerning their orders, Wolf obeyed….and now you know, the rest of the story."
The Gladiators (Brute & Massacre) were Tag Champs, and Comrade Terror & Executioner were attempting to challenge them for the Tag Title. I set up a Spike/Brute/Massacre vs. Thantos/Terror/Executioner 6-Man Tag Match. The Stips were: If The Gladiators won, Spike gets a shot at Thantos. If Thantos' team won, then Terror/Executioner get a shot at Brute & Massacre. Spike DOMINATED, eliminating Thantos with ease. So, Spike gets his Title shot vs. Thantos....and DOMINATED again, winning the belt. This was in March 2088. Spike dominated Thantos a couple other times, also.
Finally, Wolf vs. Thantos to determine the #1 Contender to the Title. The set up was, Wolf had soundly defeated Spike several times, and had given Thantos his only defeat in 2087 (in the 1st round of the GWF Title Tourney). Spike had dominated Thantos, but couldn't even hit a foul ball off of Wolf, but was the Champion. Thantos had dominated the singles ranks for nearly a year as GWF Champion. The Top Contenders match ends with Wolf taking the win, and getting his shot at the Title.
A HUGE match was set up for the Solar Storm at the Sun Tower SuperCard, an I Quit Exile Match. The loser would leave the GWF for the remainder of 2088. Below is my write-up for that match:
"GWF Galaxian Championship
I Quit Exile Match (The rest of 2088)
Wolf vs. “The Aethran Arm” Spike (ch)
Winner: Wolf **NEW CHAMPION** after he laid out Spike with a flying chairshot from the top ropes.
>Wolf takes the GWF Title, and sends Spike packing out of the GWF for the rest of 2088. What a great and brutal match. This is what Main Events are all about, as these two brutalized and beat the crap out of each other. The action went outside the arena for a bit, as Wolf slammed Spike into a model LS Space Roamer. Both men hit their finishers several times throughout the match. The fighting spent just as much time outside, using chairs and any other foreign objects, as it did inside the ring using actual wrestling moves. Finally, Wolf climbed the buckles, holding a chair, and nailed Spike with a flying chair shot, sending Spike crashing to the mat, bloodied beyond recognition. Spike was out cold, giving Wolf the GWF Galaxian Championship. (Wolf had 8 tokens, plus was “pinned 4 times; Spike had 7 tokens, plus was “pinned” 5 times)"
As of now, Thantos has seemed to disappear from the GWF, since his loss to Wolf for the #1 Contender. Spike is out until 2089. And now, Wolf is the GWF Champion, with no clear Contender to the Title.
Where is Star Warrior in all of this? (You might be asking that)....well, he is the InterPlanetary Champion (and a pretty good one at that). I have some plans though to get a challenger set up, as Wolf has declared that there is no one that can really challenge him to the GWF Title....
Sorry for the long-winded post, but I love going back over my history of my fed.....Hopefully, you were able to read it and stay at least a little bit interested
