In a piece of breaking news, this reporter can confirm that Sable was released by WWE.
Although no immediate information was available, one must wonder if her anti-WWE comments in a recent interview played into the decision.

As a non-reporter...I can go out on a limb with this one... YES...she was fired because of recent statements...just like Piper. Gramar

That nearly has me dying here. For someone who is where she is because of silicone and hair dye to whine about how those who don't have good looks to get a proper break...someone please tell Sable to just shut up and go away!

Good riddance to her. It's not like she added anything to the WWE anyways.

Recent negative comments made by Sable this past weekend is what most believe got her released from WWE. While new rumors point at Brock Lesnar’s anti-wrestling comments made to the media since his split from the company.
Sable’s relationship with Lesnar linked the two and WWE may have released her as a way of getting back at him. As of yet, no official details on Sable’s release have been made by WWE

Ok. Not to sound insensitive, but I suspect that part of the reason Sable was released can be attributed to her getting older. Sable became popular because of her great looks, not her great technical wrestling skill in the ring. Maybe the WWE feels that she is now being overshadowed by younger and more beautiful women like your Dawn Marie's, Tori's, and Stacey's.... Live by the sword, die by the sword. It sucks, but when your rep is based on your looks, when they start to fade, it's bound to happen. Maybe if she was more of a legit wrestler she could have hung around like the Great Moolah and Mae Young. I miss them. They were fun and took some great bumps to boot

After much speculation, PWTorch.com reports that the official reason for Sable's release was not any single issue speculated earlier.
Apparently, Sable had asked for a reduced schedule; a demand that WWE was not interested in meeting. Combined with the fact that she wanted a reduced schedule, her ties with Brock Lesnar and interview comments did not help the situation.
The feeling, however, is that the interview definitely would not have led to her release without either of the other two factors. WWE not only monitored the interview as it was being completed, but aims to allow their workers 'controlled free speech.' In fact, despite common belief, the internal reason for Roddy Piper's past release was not his HBO interview, but the fact that he was miserable while performing his job.

My prediction about Sable is that now she's been released by WWE, she'll soon pop up in NWA-TNA under her real name Rena Mero.
