It really seems to me that this lottery could be a potential turning point for the WWF. There are some very good signs. Benoit and Guerrero to my surprise stood in the ring together to end WMXX as the champions of the promotion. Also for the first time since his mega push in 99, Triple H did the right thing in tapping, selling the arm and then getting a beat down from Benoit on Raw.
Let's just hope they even out the rosters and this isn't a disaster like the draft in 02 was.

And you know what...? It's because of the suckage of the '02 draft that I choose not to speculate on this "lottery". I'm hoping it evens things out, but I don't know how they can do certain things (like the women's division) while maintaining a ruse of a lottery, which should theoretically be random.

The first draft went Smackdown's way and they had the better show
Now with Smackdown losing Lesner and possibly Angle and Edge expected to go to Raw they need to do something. Other then the Big Show there is no real big heel on Smackdown

I hope the draft goes well but like it's already been said, after the last one I'm a little skeptical right now.
1) don't break up tag teams (last time they broke up the APA, Hardy's, and Dudley Boys)
after reading SD spoilers it looks as if they are splitting the APA again and maybe Haas and Benjamin.
They need to keep Haas and Benjamin together to face Dupree and Grenier, Rob Conway can get sent to the other show since he really has now place with the French guys.
Dudleys, Bashams, WGTT, La Resistence and other teams need to stay together!!!
2) keep Evolution together, do not break these guys up... PLEASE!!!
3) unify titles, have one world champion, one tag champion and have them on both shows. Also have woman's and cruiserweight on both shows. Only keep I-C on RAW and U.S. on SD.
the draft is gonna look pretty fishy if all the cruiserweights get put on one show and all the female wrestlers on the other.
one thing I think would be kinda funny, have Benoit get drafted by SD and be stripped of the title. Now I'm a huge Benoit fan but come on... They've been making a huge deal about him fighting 18 years to become champion and imagine the uproar if it get stripped from him 8 days later.
I really doubt this will happen since the next RAW PPV is in Benoit's home town.

Did anyone notice how when Vince was talking about new stuff people were cheering, and when he said lottery the entire crowd groaned. That's what I did when I heard it.
They did a lottery before. I'm not expecting much out of this one. The only intrigue really is what are they going to do with title holders.
For me, I don't get UPN so I'd like to see some of the Smackdown guys on Raw and trade the womens title for the Cruiserweight title.

I got a huge feeling they may split up evolution, send Flair and HHH to one, will keeping Batista almost as Orton's Bodyguard. I could also see Rene Dupree goin single as it seems he's been doing a lot of single stuff lately on Raw. The draft has potential to be great but the WWE will probably blow the bunny as usual. I mean could you imagine guys like Booker T challenging for Benoit's title after their 7 match series a while back, or a Cena-Orton feud, or even a RVD heel turn or something to challenge Guerrero. This is the WWE though so why on earth am I getting my hopes up.

The draft has potential to be great but the WWE will probably blow the bunny as usual. There's an interesting phrase. I'm going to assume it refers to the South Park episode where Ms. Crabtree threatens to shoot the bunny to quiet the kids on the bus and not to an act that shouldn't be mentioned on a family board.

I agree with the unification of the heavyweight titles and tag titles. all the champions should be able to float from show to show. I really hope the lottery is not bogus. Tag teams should NOT be broken up!!! im sick of makeshift teams like booker t and rvd. these guys should be competing for singles titles not tagging up

Haha no worries fellas, I'm keeping it clean. Thats just a term we use here all the time. It's a term we use like in basketball that means missing an easy wide open layup, or messing up a guranteed thing. I mean this is the WWE's chance to get fans excited again. I mean just by us talking about it you can see the excitement its generating toward the product again. I just got a feeling their getting our hopes up to drop us down as usual.

I believe last time the Champs were not eligible for drafting. Benoit should stay where he is.

I believe last time the Champs were not eligible for drafting. Benoit should stay where he is. That was last time. Vince came right out and said "everyone's eligible", so that's probably out the window. Besides, RVD and Booker T need to be separated (and Rikishi and Scotty could use it as well). Both show's tag divisions are dead in the water; maybe needing tourneys for the belts will spark some life. Maybe.

In the last draft, didn't some of the cruiserweights, hardcore, and lower card wrestlers get drafted as one unit (example: all leftover cruiserweights went were the cruiserweight champion went)?

they need to do something about the cruiserweights, because if Chavo can't defend on both shows and some cruiserweights go to RAW and some on SD it's just pointless for those on the other show. And it will look terrible during the draft if ALL the cruiserweights SOMEHOW all get drafted by one show. They've got the same problem with the women. What would happen with Victoria on one show and Jazz, Trish, Molly and Lita don't get drafted by the same show.
I was really excited after Vince made the announcement but the more I think about it I'm extremely skeptical about this Monday.

As for the cruisers/hardcore people being drafted together last time, not really. All but the first 10 picks on each side were done off-camera, so it just "happened" to work out that way. Plus, at the time the Women's Champion could cross to both shows, like the World/WWE (I think at the time it was still called the Undisputed) Champ. The only "units" drafted then were the nWo and the Tag Champs.

I think in the end they should've just brought it all back to one big federation, but the split and the new lottery is the way.
I'm tired of the tag team scene, the days of the Road Warriors and the like are done and it is a shame. I'm sure glad to have LOW, yes we still have mixxed bag teams but atleast we have some of the great official tag teams we want today.
One World Title, One World Tag Team Title I think would be great along with the other belts should float between the two shows.
Benoit as the Champion is great, and that was the right move... but now the question is how long will he have the belt for?
