Could someone clarify for me the Battle Royal rules in the LOW Ringside Companion?
Is the save chart used AFTER a wrestler has been eliminated, or before he rolls his PIN (like in a tag match)?
The result from a roll of 5-6 makes it seem to me that you roll on the chart after the fact and not before.
*5-6. The third wrestler doesn’t get there in time to save the wrestler on defense and the wrestler on defense is thrown over the top rope and eliminated. The third wrestler attacks the wrestler on offense and rolls on Level 2 Offense.
Thanks for any input. Slymm

Good question, Slymm. I'm assuming that if the wrestler were to be eliminated by rolling his PIN, you would use the chart before rolling for the PIN.
However, if he's being eliminated by an "Out of the Ring" being rolled, I could see the confusion. Whenever "Out of the Ring" is rolled, it's supposed to be an automatic elimination. But you don't know if that's coming, so I guess you would use the save chart after you rolled that situation.
I'm probably not giving the clearest answer! Anyone else who's played Battle Royals with this chart could perhaps help out.

Thanks Cory for the input, yea the chart confuses me. I have used Werner Mueck's Battle Royal rules before and they IMO are excellent.
But just in case I ever use the official Battle Royal rules, I wanted to make sure I was using them correctly.
By the way, great Fed you have bro, always a good read!

I think there's also something to note.. I think there's a difference between "rolls his PIN" and "is pinned".
For the "official' LOW rules, I think the wrestler on defense is eliminated when the wrestler on offense is supposed to roll on the OOTR chart, or when the wrestler on offense hits his finisher/wrestler on defense rolls whatever number on Level 3 Defense is his PIN. So if someone rolls 6 on Level 3 D, and it's their pin, then they are either eliminated or somebody tries to save them... there is no pinfall roll after that.

Seems like you roll that BEFORE the PIN and if you get that instruction you're done without actually getting to roll the PIN. Similar to how rolls of 2,3 or 4 on that chart will also eliminate a wrestler involved in the "save"
Just makes using the "save" chart a bit more interesting and something to think about using instead of just going to it every time.
If you roll an "out of ring" you are automatically eliminated without any "save" opportunity
