So, you are in a discussion with someone about this cool wrestling game you play, and when the person asks, "Who's in it?" you say ...?
I personally would tout the Road Warriors and Harley Race first, along with the Japanese wrestlers and the Midnight Express (I'm assuming the person asking is a fan with some knowledge of pro wrestling). Obviously, you'd probably have to tailor your answer to who you are talking to (I can already hear someone not overly knowledgeable saying, "Is Hogan in it?")
I'd be interested to hear from the Filsinger gang about who they might name-drop during such a conversation with a potential signee. It seems to me (in my limited knowledge) that Harley Race is pretty well known and respected among the wrestling community and might carry some weight. But that's just a guess from the sidelines.
I do know that had I not joined in on the gaming fun early, I'd probably be impressed by the above names, plus Hennig, DDP and Rude. Frank Gotch would have meant nothing to me at the time, but he sure does now.
So, for those of you who have had interaction with potential signees or potential gamers, what have been your experiences?

Iron Sheik and Jimmy Snuka speak pretty well to the 80's fans.

If I had too "sell" the game towards my friends.Names like New Age Outlaws, Sabu, Sandman, would be my best chance to get my buddy's into the game. But their learning! Heck, one of my friends this past monday night quoted Dusty Roads!!! Just out of the blue. And he doesn't quote anything past '98 and on.
It put a HUGE smile on my face.I was very proud of him.

None of my friends are geeks like me Now if we are talking about selling to a potential Legend to sign. I would use Race, Bockwinkle, The Warriors, Bundy, Brody. Most definitely the old school guys that are respected in the biz.

I'd probably mention The Road Warriors, Rude, Hennig, Page, Sabu, Snuka, and Heenan. They seem to stand out to fans of the 80's and 90's eras.
Take care,
Jay

To friends I'd use Road Warriors, DiBiase, and anyone from the WCW/nWo era, Konnan, DDP, etc. If they know ECW well then I'd say Sandman, Sabu, etc.
