What do you guys think of certain wrestlers that you favour whose cardss don't fill your expectations? I would have liked to see King Kong Bundy with better stats, those (ag) moves really hurt him and overall don't reflect his true talent. For example he if you look at his career I think he deserves to be a solid top 10 but even though I had only used the first 2 sets before my computer crashed and I lost all the stats I entered into desktop (I'm really short of time to put them back in) he was always around 15th in the rankings. Should he be better? Are there any other cards who should have a makeover with new improved stats?

His card seemed just fine to me.

He never won a title (though that had to do as much with the limited amount of title changes when he wrestled there) He's done fine for me and has held the tag belts and had a short reign as North American champion.

Sure, but there was a spell when he was one of the top heels in the WWF. He wrestled with Big John Stud against the likes of the Hulkster. He topped Wrestlemania 2 and I'm not sure if I'm correct on this but he was in a high profile wrestlemania match with Diesel. Overall I think he should be someone who can contend for a belt even if he's not supposed to win it. On the opposite side I'm not sold on Baba, he's a very strong wrestler but he just wins without creating any heat. I would have prefered him a little lower. I also would have liked Rick Rude to be stronger because he was one of my all time favs! We are the promoters so I guess the only limit we have is how strong the cards are, I never 'fix' a match but I would like to see certain wrestlers I favour do better than others. Overall I don't get attached and let the cards fight for themselves and unravel a story.

When the guys have the highest agility (or power), when you have either two (ag) or (pw)s, that kills them Personally, that's why I liked the original rule where the move worked if the opposing wrestling had a power/agility greater than zero but was countered if the power/agility was 0 or better. How the rule is now, pretty much it will only work if Bundy faced Ox Baker,. But the original rule...it would work against guys like Crusher (the new rule, it wouldn't work against Crusher), but not against a Mid South DiBiase That severely hampers a guys moveset.

My only problem with the original rule, is that there is very little difference between -1 and -4 stats that way. The current rule gives more diversity.

Bundy fought Hogan after a few lucky wins and being pushed into a title position. I recently did this with him and it worked just as well as it did in real life.
He scored a surprise win over The Crusher when Crusher was my World Champion. From their I fed him a steady stream of smaller guys so he could rack up the wins. Heenan "secured" him a Title Shot. I did a whole build up for Bundy vs. Mascaras for the Title. Mascaras got the win (which gave him the "beat the monster" heat) and Bundy can now be seen as a contender (at least a former contender) and keep a high midcard spot from now on (much like after he fought Hogan in real life). Bundy will at least be now seen as someone worth beating in my fed.

Not sure I understand this. Under the old rule, if the opposing wrestler's Power or Agility was greater than zero then he countered the move? Sorry, the wording makes it sound like the move works if the opposing wrestler's rating was zero or better and then the opposing wrestler counters if the rating is zero or better.

Back to topic, I was disappointed in Ray Stevens' stats. Though he wasn't a world champ like Race or Bockwinkel, he was one of the most influential wrestlers of his time.
I was also disappointed with Buddy Rose. I thought he should have been a little better. That move-1 on Level 2 Offense is a killer for him.
I think what's difficult about ranking wrestlers that were active in the late 50s to early 70s is that there is so little footage to go on and also there were so many territories and titles being spread around but not many World Title changes.
So someone like Ray Stevens is hard to rank against someone like Race or Bockwinkel. Should Stevens be able to beat them? Probably not. But he should be better than a low midcarder, which is how he's played out in my fed.

I could have worded it bad I wasn't looking for a mea culpa. I was wondering what the rule was. No worries about the wording.

I could have worded it bad I wasn't looking for a mea culpa. I was wondering what the rule was. No worries about the wording. I think the rule changed in the 2090 set, but here was the original. I'm taking the 2087 set for example. Say Death Knight and his agility, which is +4. If rolled a 6 on his L1O which is 6.suplex -3(ag): For the old rule, the move would work on the following wrestlers (agility rating in parenthesis): Omega (+3), Commander Sam (+2), Proteus (+2), Executioner (+3), Brute (+3), Massacre (+1), Exo King (+1), Death Knight (+4), Mutant (+4), Ghengis Khan (+2) since they had an agility that was worse than a 0 (+1, +2, +3, +4) The move would be countered with the following wrestlers: Star Warrior (-3), Massif (0), Beast Rider (0), Renegade (-1), Wolf (-3), Actagon (-1)., Lord Nexus (-4), Pit Viper (-2), Pulsar (-2), Thantos (-2), Comrade Terror (0), Vanity (0), Killer Queen (-3), Krakan (0) But for the new rules, it changed the move would only work if the wrestler facing Death Knight had an agility the same or worse. So now, this move, instead of about a 50-50 chance of working, it would only be successful against the Mutant, who had the same agility. I've heard some argue if you factored injuries in, it word work against guys like Brute, Executioner, Omega and a few others. I see the pros and cons of both.. I hoped I explained it a tad better...and if I messed up on the rule, please anyone correct me.

Oh, cool. Thanks, MFT.
I like that rule better. I was getting annoyed that guys with a +2 would get countered by someone with a +1. Just didn't seem to make sense.

I think all the cards are well balanced and on the money at certain points in wrestlers careers. C'mon we have the best team possible setting up the cards and doing A LOT of research. Believe you me, Tim, Chad and Cory know their sh......stuff when it comes to wrestling. All I wish is ROGERS would get some decent art to go along with his kickass card.

Just didn't seem to make sense. yeah, that's why it's definitely hard when you are playing Bundy since those moves only work on Baker (if you are using the 1st set). If you used the original rules, it would work on, and I don't have them in front of me... Road Warrior Animal Giant Baba Greg Valentine The Sandman Johnny Valiant Nikolai Volkoff Iron Sheik Ox Baker That, at least, gives Bundy more of a fighting chance

I'm happy with most the cards, I actually think anyone that has held a World Title should get a bit of a boost (barring a signing of David Arquette.) I'd like to see DDP a bit better, but his Rahl rating is in the low end 30's, even though he was a 2 time WCW Champ. Plus the Diamond Cutter is my favorite special move of all-time and I'd like to see it be more diverse.
Overall, these guys do an amazing job, but I'd like to push some of my favorites more.

That's great if you like to run your fed with a more freelance approach, I like to use rankings etc. which usually puts the most consistent and stronger contenders in the fray for a title shot. In some ways it's not as much fun but it does give the belt more prestige as it makes it harder to win and that bit easier to hold on to. In general I think the Filsinger guys do a great job, but even if they were to keep certain people happy they would be upsetting others in the process, so overall I'm happy.
