I am hoping it is Scott Norton. I had given Tom his contact info after talking to Norton a bit on Myspace. Norton would be a perfect fit with Legends International being that he is a 2 time IWGP World champ and is a multi time New Japan tag team champ. I have been a huge fan of his for years and would be pumped if he were to join the LOW roster.

Well Norton did wrestle in the AWA Ahhh, good point. Norton would be a good addition, maybe have him team up with Bagwell as Vicious and Delicious (great team name!)

Just throwing out another potential name. I know BrianU talked with Boris Zukhov and he loved the thought of being in the game. I think Brian sent his info to Tom, and we know Boris was a former AWA Champ.....

Also, Boris was on the wikipedia list that Bladeflyer poster earlier in this tread and we were then told that the 12th wrestler isn't on that list. But I wouldn't mind getting Boris Zhukov at some point. I would probably use him and Nikolai Volkoff to reform the Bolsheviks.

(After all, who doesn't like the AIRPLANE SPIN as a finisher? Uh, put your hand down, Jay.) Wow, did I make it that apparent? I know my GM made the move illegal and threatened any wrestler that used it with an instant DQ and being forced to watch Barney and the Teletubbies DVD (the ultimate punishment in my fed, which results in the wrestler being out 2-12 cards with dimentia). However, I didn't realize I was That vocal about it on the boards. Legends Vintage, by the way, was one of my favorite sets, thanks to Lewis and Severn. So Kiniski is shot down and the guessing continues. I don't know much about Mosca, but I like that since I can then do whatever I want with his character. I'm guessing Black Angus and KO Koverly (2 of my favorites from The Heels book) never competed in AWA so those are out. Watch, it'll end up being some wrestler who showed up backstage for an AWA event. If that's the case, you're all totally evil...and I salute you! Take care, Jay

Oh, Jay, don't worry, the airplane spin thing was totally subtle on your part ... I'm lucky I picked up on it ... Severn had a decent run in my fed ... Lewis, not so much -- so far ... Norton would be a cool addition ...

Me personally, my first exposure to wrestling was the AWA, so it would be a thrill for me to see one as the 12th man. My picks would be;
Buck Zumolfe Boris Zurkhov Steve Regal Stan Hansen Baron Von Rascke John Norn
As long as it's from the "old school" AWA though, I'll be happy.
WWA Champions
World: Ed Lewis World Tag-Team: Bob & Brad Armstrong Television: Ted Dibiase US Tag-Team: vacant Brass Knuckles: Harley Race Jr. Heavyweight: Frank Gotch
PS: did everyone forget about Kokina Maximus, aka Yokozuna?

Well we do have Samu in the game now....but man....Yokozuna would just be awesome.

If it is from the AWA I am going with Yokozuna with Angelo Mosca my #2 choice...
I think Scott Norton is a possiblilty, but he did not get too much notoriety in the US as most of his best work is in Japan. I expect Norton and Mosca to be in the next release.

The set is over due, due to artist issues. I understand that and stuff happens but why can't we know who the twelfth guy is? I mean c'mon it's way past due spill it already.

What if it's a let down after all this time and build up? I mean if he's not a mega star what's the point of all the secrecy?

I can see Wildcat's point.
I know we want the best possible set (and that's what Filsinger Games wants to give us).
I know we want the best art/best-looking cards.
But it's now Sept. 20 ... and the anticipation for this set has been stretched out for a while.
Knowing the 12th person would be nice.
Having the cards would be even better.
Meanwhile, the clock continues to tick ... and "patience" remains the word of the day(s).

I have no problem waiting, but would like to at least know who the 12th card is for. There are still many wrestlers from prior sets that I've yet to use.

Yeah, I'm a mark for anyone in the game, but I think it's Mosca and it will be a small, well, maybe large, let down for fans. Me, I can already think of a few feuds that are ready made for him.

Meanwhile, the clock continues to tick ... and "patience" remains the word of the day(s). Believe me I am as frustrated as all of you, maybe more so. I now know what it feels like to be in Tom's shoes when it comes to a release that doesn't go as planned. I am hereby referring to International as the Murphy's Law set (anything that can go wrong has as far as the art). The drawings are great, but the print quality is what I am trying to get improved at this point. Tom's a perfectionist when it comes to this and I don't want to let him down. Believe me guys I am doing everything in my power to get this out as fast as possible. The day I get the cards from the printer they will be in the mail. I know Tom isn't usually this transparent, but as a fellow game fan I feel I owe it to you guys. As for the 12th guy, I think that should be pretty obvious by now, but Tom does like to keep one card a "secret". Tom was going to announce him in the Promoter, but I asked to announce Liger instead, because I wanted the bigger name out there and wanted him on the cover of the Promoter. I'm sure Legends fans will be happy with the set once it is out and from the looks of it Indy fans will be really pumped when the Legends of the Future set comes out in the spring. Once I have it in the mail I will definately say so. I'm still shooting for September.
