I would love to have both Diamond and Tanaka. Got to see them when they first started teaming up in the Memphis promotion going after Jeff Jarrett and Billy Travis.
...and Paul was billed from Thunder Bay, Ontario

The Great Antonio is a famous Canadian star who was born in Yugoslavia (maybe modern day croatia)..... He was a tag team partner of Pampero Firpo in the WWWF (who we think is already signed....
Just a thought

I'm sorry but Pat Tanaka does nothing for me. about as much as George South! I think Edouard Carpentier is one of the Canadians. (The Flying Frenchman)

Hi Guys,
Cannot find any German or Croatian Wrestlers on Obsessed with Wrestling but have the following thoughts;
Japan - Riki Chosyu and Tiger Mask Mexico - El Santo & El Hijo del Santo Canada - Harts or Mike Sharpe Senior and Junior Team - Bulldogs - think the Samoans would be a let down.
I know Tom has contacted the Hart family and the Dynamite Kid does own the Bulldog Gimmick so who knows!!

The countries noted for the set relate to the countries the wrestlers were billed from. For example, if Abdullah the Butcher were part of the set, we would have listed Sudan as the country.
I hope this doesn't ruin it for anyone who thought Abby was actually from the Sudan.

Again..I just don't imagine they'd waste big names on LE cards.....so I don'timagine it's them. Well makes the Croatian wrestler harder...and Abby...like a lot of famous wrestlers...is Canadian.

The only wrestler I can find that billed as being from Croatia is Victor Jovica.
The only German wrestlers I can think of are Karl Gotch (please, no, I prefer 1 Gotch in the game), and the guy from WCW who loved to dance (that'd be cool...another punching bag for the main eventers).
I'm not a big fan of luchadors, but I understand others are and I'm sure I can use whomever we get.
As for Norton, I'd prefer to see him with the powerbomb, only because I like the powerbomb as a finisher better than the shoulder breaker. Again, just my preference.
Bret and/or Jericho in the set would be worth its price alone.
As for the 2 LE's, I'm hoping for The Samoans, even if they are a lower-card team.
Take care,
Jay

I would start playing LOW if there was a Bret Hart card.

Baron Von Raschke would also be from Germany(billed at least) and would be great in the game.

And Rasche would be a cool addition as well.

I just went back and found this, written by Tim Dalton almost a year ago: More cruel torture: one former tag partner of Stevens was "on the bubble" for TEAMS, but got bumped near the end of the process.
Since Baron Von Raschke once teamed with Ray Stevens and we know we have someone in the next set who is at least billed from Germany, could Baron Von Raschke be part of Legends International?
I hope so! I have some great storylines for Baron Von Raschke in my LOW fed Major League Wrestling if this is the case.
But about the German wrestler, I think somebody also once posted that Fritz Von Goering is also signed.

He's not Frank......but he's definitely the 2nd best Gotch ever.

I am curious as to how many from each country we are getting in the set..probably only one from Croatia and Germany, but hopefully Japan and Mexico will have more than one representative in the set (making a truly international set, as opposed to mostly US and Canada guys)

There's one other Croatian that I can think of: '80s European wrestler Mile Zrno. I bet no one here besides me has ever heard of him but he was a pretty awesome light heavyweight in the British-European style. Betcha he's not the guy, though.
I do remember reading that the Mongols, for reasons that escape me, were billed from "Serbo-Croatia." I can't explain that billing anymore than I can explain why they had first names that sound like the Lost Marx Brothers and last names that were the same as their ethnicity...like being named Bret "The Hitman" Canadian.
Anyway, some more speculation...
Japan - Got to be Jumbo, Tenryu, or Liger. My money (and my own preference) is on Jumbo. Of course, it could be 2 of the 3...actually, Fujinami could be in there as well.
Mexico - Santo's family is apparently *very* protective of the gimmick, and justifiably so, so I'd bet against him. Was Pepper Gomez billed as a Mexican? If so, it seems he'd be a lock, though I admit when I think "International" I think of a guy who made his name outside the U.S. rather than just where he was billed. So in that sense, I'd prefer a legit luchador.
Germany - Von Raschke seems like a good bet to me, too. Karl Gotch was actually from Belgium, but I don't know how he was introduced. Killer Karl Krupp, Roland Bock, or Horst Hoffman seem much less likely.
Canada - Angelo Mosca. Bank on it. He was signed years ago, in fact. I may start up a new Legends fed just so I can run the "Canadian football vs. American football" feud with Jim Duggan that I've envisioned since that announcement.
