Is this a good idea? And if so... what do you all use? Magic markers, crayons, or colored pencils? Just curious. Hare Krishna!

Cheap plug for my site here(http://www.msnusers.com/RingsYdeWrasslin). I use two different types of markers to make the colors stand out, and I have found that lamination of the cards adds even more impact to the color scheme. Coloring pencils either leave too many obvious lines, or (in order to avoid the pencil stroke look) require way too much time to accurately apply. Crayons, because of their waxy coating, can cover up lines and contours of the picture (card), and they have ruined some of my earlier colored cards.

Hey guys, I have always colored my cards, and I use colored pencils. Recently I have taken up a great interest in coloring using photoshop and would like to try my skills with my old COTG cards. The only problem is, my cards are already colored. If anybody that has original, uncolored cards in good condition, has access to a scanner, and wouldn't mind sending me scans of the original 24 wrestlers I will see what I can do about coloring them and posting them online. We could start with that first set and go from there. Hopefully this isn't against the rules and Tom doesn't have a problem with this. I have been playing COTG since I was 12 years old and have every set up through 2118. I enjoy coloring these cards and would like to share them with the rest of you. If you think you can help me then feel free to email me at bad2begood@sbcglobal.net Thanks guys, and anyone else who colors their cards should feel free to share Andy

You can uncolor the cards in Photoshop-just convert to grayscale and screw with the levels, it should work.
I don't color my cards, BTW. I'd scan and PS them more often but I'd be painting COTG cards on PS instead of working.

I use to do it , but stopped in about 1996 . No real reason why I stopped ? . I know they would cost more . But i would love to see coloured cards , they do look better . Look at bootleg wrestler cards like Sammael / Stone Mountain etc

I agree with that. I have also said in the past that I would be willing to pay whatever the amount was for colored sets.

I colored the first 4 sets with colored pencils, and they came out fairly decent. However, I've switched to not coloring and laminating, and I think they look much better this way.

After all this time, having colored 4 or 5 sets... I've completely changed my mind. I've even begun buying the sets again, to have them in their original condition.
