First time that I've wandered back to the game after being busy with life's great many wonders and I'm not absolutely pumped to buy the new release. I like the idea of the MMA stuff but not mixed or transitioning out of my beloved CPC. Is it offered in card stock? If not, is it going to be? I know the online push is going on but that's something I just can't get into either.

Fear not, Punisher! As of now, the only way to get POW Revival 2122 is as a pdf download. POW is not part of the Game Table at COTG Online as of yet. So if you decide to order, there are a few routes to go. If you want everything (all new wrestling and MMA cards), there's a "complete" package (which also comes with rulebook and charts for MMA matches). You can also buy the wrestling cards and MMA cards (with rules and charts) separately if you only want to go one route or the other with your POW fed. Then all you have to do is print out the cards (or have someone print them for you, like Staples or Kinko's), and you're good to go!
Does that answer your question? Hope so. Dig through the threads here and you might find some more in-depth answers to what you might want to know. Hope to have you on board!

It answers the question - no printing from you guys happening.
Well I'm sure that the book to go along with the cards is worth whatever the price tag is by itself. That is the one thing that I know I've always been able to count on.
Now about those 60 hour work weeks coming in a month. Hmmm...

I really want to get the set with both rules so I can both play MMA rules and use some of the guys in my LOW fed (like my buddy Ahnu).
Unfortunately, I'm going to have to wait a couple of weeks. My computer keeps freezing on me and I have no clue why. I don't want to be in the middle of a download and it all locks up. Next week, I get my Xmas bonus, and after I finish my shopping I need to find a place to get my comp looked at.
Hopefully it's something minor, then I'll order the sets.
Take care,
Jay

So, I am not even close to being ready for 2122--I am just finishing 2110 right now--but I am curious--
Are the cards for the 2122 set still regular (unprinted) COTG cards? I mean, if I do not choose to do the MMA style, can the cards still just be used with the standard game rules?
Not that I am rejecting the MMA style, since I have not even seen it yet. Just curious, as I said.

Just curious, as I said. The cards for POW 2122 come in 2 versions: one with standard wrestling stats and one with MMA stats. I saw at the online store you can choose which version to buy or you can choose to buy both versions. So far, I have just bought the pdf for the cards in POW 2122 with the wrestling stats. But I will buy the ones with the MMA stats too after the holidays.

I'm sure I'll buy both when I get to them.

It answers the question - no printing from you guys happening. In all honesty, this edition wouldn't have been anywhere near as interesting if Mark had been confined by the 'traditional' limits he's given for length. By making the set available via download, he was able to go into much more detail, and the story is enhanced greatly as a result. Well I'm sure that the book to go along with the cards is worth whatever the price tag is by itself. That is the one thing that I know I've always been able to count on. Amen to that! But I think that you'll enjoy the cards as well. Even the MMA stuff- I'm not the biggest MMA guy by any stretch, but the MMA mechanic that Darth Turkish and Mark put together is really fun, stays true to the original COTG feel, and gives the variety that you see in MMA (short, brutal matches and long, grind-'em-outs). Okay, thanks. I might like the MMA style, but I'd hate to be forced into it. I'm glad the cards are available both ways. I'm sure I'll buy both when I get to them. No, Mark did a REALLY nice job not boxing anyone into a certain way to play (wrestling, MMA or both).... but I think that you'll enjoy them both.

Punisher, I have a lot of CPC/POW to catch up with, but I really must say that this set blew me away. The story was told very well, with a ton of depth for the main characters.
I agree with Mike that the offering of this set on PDF really broke down the confines of printing costs and allowed Mark to go absolutely nuts with this set. So far, Kris' last aCe set and Mark's current POW set (the first ones to go online) have really blown me away as the best sets that I have bought. I completely commend them both on their work, and am a very big fan of POW and aCe going online.

Just bought both the MMA and the wrestling sets and downloaded...and all I can say is WHOA ! I'm not a huge MMA fan...the last UFC card I watched had "Tank" Abbot and Dan Severn in it...but I am looking forward to running the MMA fed. And, the book is definitely worth the cost of admission alone. ;D Peace. ~Trav
