Firstly, I must admit, I'm not much of a real-world MMA fan at all.
However, just for the sake of having some of the newer stuff (I'm still catching up on a lot of old CotG editions, and I don't even have any CPC yet), I decided to check out the POW Revival stuff (Throwdown Complete, that's right baby!).
I just got my downloads earlier today, and I wanted to say, I love what you guys (Trent, Turkish, etc.) have done with the rules for MMA style fights (I never saw any of the earlier rules), and am very excited about doing some MMA matches in the CotG universe.
Real-world MMA, not for me. CotG MMA, I'm very enthusiastic!
I just wanted to compliment you guys on a job well done, and also to let you know that POW has managed to hook a non-MMA fan.
I'm going to love POW!
Thank you!

That's excellent to hear. I was hoping we'd get some folks who may not be as into MMA (if at all) interested in that aspect of POW, so it looks like we succeeded at least once!
Hope you enjoy it!

I'd say you succeeded twice at the least I enjoy MMA but never seem to go out of my way for it. With that said, I -- as you've seen -- played three tournaments yesterday under the MMA rules....and I LOVE it. It's really a slick system that still captures the COTG spirit and isn't mechanics-heavy. Some of the matches I felt 'real' -- like, I was waiting for a guy with striking prowess to clobber his opponent....or, I could see how Puma seemed really focused on getting his opponent to the mat where he could grapple them into oblivion. It really flows well. And heck, my favorite CPC personality, Cypher, won the whole Hvywght tourney! Good stuff, all around. I haven't even commented on the storyline or new additions or anything, because I've been so enamored of the MMA stuff. I'll be sure to post my thoughts on the rest of the CPC-turned-POW soon.
