No, You can run an all prowrestling style federation as has been done before, an all OFC(or mixed martial arts matches) federation or a mix of both.
Essentailly, gone is the 'old style" of OFC match that Mark developed a few years ago, and what has been put in it's place is an entirely new system with new fighter card structures and rules.
You may order both the MMA cards and the traditional wrestling cards or order one independently of the other.

My plan is to be primarily a wrestling fed with big feuds settled in MMA matches.

All I gotta say is:
SHYLOCK = BADA$$

Yeah, Shylock is definitely the heavyweight to beat, although if Cypher gets you on the mat, you're in big trouble.

Hey how did Euritar and Pendakar make out?
Well, not make out.... that would be weird, but how did they do?

Hey how did Euritar and Pendakar make out? Well, not make out.... that would be weird, but how did they do? Pendekar was beaten by Stigma both times they faced. Euritar was upset early, but has some promise. Zed was the top cruiser this weekend.

Pendekar was very close when he did lose, as was Stigma when I either had him or went against him. The cruiserweight division seems to be the odds-on favorite for most competitive weight class.

I just have a question about printing. Do i need a special type of pare? if so, what kind? Also, if you get the complete set, do you need POW Revival as well or no? Sorry, just not familiar with the COTGonline.

Sorry, just not familiar with the COTGonline. You get the MMA cards by either ordering the POW MMA Throwdown or the POW Complete Throwdown, both of which contain every wrestler in the POW as of 2122 with MMA backs. The difference between the two sets is that with the Complete Throwdown, you also get wrestling backs for everyone, whereas with the MMA Throwdown you only get wrestling backs for the new 2122 cards. As far as printing goes, just take it to an Office Max or Kinko's or somewhere similar if you've got one in driving distance and have them print it up on cardstock. Just make sure they read the instructions on the PDF.

If I order any of the sets, POW Revival, POW MMA Throwdown, etc., will I recieve a handbook covering all of the fighters' backgrounds and such, ala the New Beginning set?
The MMA compnent sounds like it rocks, but I have never played a CPC set before, so I would have absoltuely NO IDEA who anyone was.
Sorry if this is sort of in the wrong thread.

I think you do with any of the sets. At least that makes sense to me.

When I was writing the handbook and character description guide, I tried to provide as much backstory as possible (including excerpts from previous handbooks in a few spots) so that people new to the CPC/POW story could catch up fairly easily. Now, since I know this stuff inside-out, I can't vouch for the fact that I got every single detail covered, but if nothing else, you'll definitely get the gist of what's happening even if you've never laid eyes on a CPC set or handbook before.

The MMA thing has really intrigued me. I'm not too into hardcore wrestling, which I assume is what CPC and POW was, but the MMA component is just awesome. Really thinking about just making a straight MMA federation with this set.

Then go for it! BDS has already indicated his intention to do that, too.

I understand that when I order one of these sets, I will get the PDF file for them. If I have cardstock at my home, do I still need to take it to Staples or Kinkos to get the cards printed, or can I just print em out a home? Thanks for the help, anybody. This is so awesome.

Yeah, you can print them out yourself at home if that's what you prefer. Just follow the printing instructions and everything will be fine.
