We're just a few weeks out from the release of CPC 2121, and with Mark's blessing we're going to kick it off with what will be the last board tourney I run this year ...
The Brink of Cataclysm!
The Tournament
The tournament will be played with the 2120 roster, so be sure you have access to the full roster for CPC 2120 before you sign up. It will be a round robin format, with every wrestler in the tournament facing every other wrestler in the tournament in at least one match.
In the course of the tournament, each wrestler will participate in two tag-team matches, one special match, and one OFC match, with the rest of their matches being standard singles contests. If both members of a tag team are in the tournament, the will get to team together. Otherwise, wrestlers will be paired into tag teams for their two matches in a completely arbitrary fashion.
You're allowed to use outside interference in a match one time on your card at your discretion. If your wrestler is regularly accompanied by a manager or a valet, that manager will be with them during the tourney unless forbidden by the rules of a match, and all manager rules for distraction and interference will apply.
Everone who participates will end up with a card full of matches to run. Results will get posted to a thread here, and points will be tallied as we go until all of the cards have been submitted and we have a winner.
Scoring
The standard scoring system will apply: 1 point for a draw, 2 points for a DQ win, and 3 points for any other type of win. In addition, any type of victory in a special, OFC, or tag team match will be worth 5 points.
Non-OFC wrestlers in OFC matches
Straight from The Man's mouth: "If a wrestler who was never at any time a member of the Outlaw Fight Club goes against any current or former OFC member, add 2 tokens to the non-OFC member before the match starts as a handicap, because the OFC fighters are usually better in these matches."
Timetable
Signups will be open until I wake up on Saturday, October 27th. Post in this thread with your choice, and all signups are on a first-come, first served basis as posted here. I will update the roster on this page to mark out wrestlers as they have been chosen.
Once signups are closed, I'll work on setting up the tournament matches and such for everyone. Everyone's cards will be posted when I wake up on Halloween morning, and there will be one full week to submit cards. I will post the final standings and declare a winner on Tuesday, October 7th.
