I'm ready to take the plunge. What exactly do I need to jump in and start with the CPC? Thanks all!

If you want to start at 2109 you'll need the WGX set for Vector One and some of the Bash sets for Holocaust and Exo-King's manager card. Plus most of the sets from 2094 till 2109 and the CPC 2109 set. And the Create A Character cards for Halcon Oro, Theatre of Pain and Kati the Samoan Warrior.

That's the only reason I don't play CPC, too. I missed out on the years from about 2096 to New Beginnings, and it's not really feasible for me to "catch up" on the CPC. I'd love to see something for the CPC like the Storm the aCe set.

Same here. Ace looks cool, but the CPC really intrigues me. I'd buy a "storm the CPC" set like...yesterday!

I just got CPC 2114 in the mail the other day. The CPC is definetely worth the investment, its been a great fed for me so far. In mine it equates a lot to the old ECW. There are hardly ever DQs and for Ladder and Triple Threats I use ECW rules which differ from the WWE/GWF versions. The fans of my CPC also have a greater appreciation for tag wrestling even to the point that throughout the galaxy many see the CPC Tag titles as more prestigious than the GWF Tag titles. It's fan base is always growing and there's a storyline started in 2114 about financial business that, in my fed, may even lead to a rapidly growing fed that may suprise the GWF and its domination of the wrestling business.

I was all set to start playing with the CPC until I heard some rumors that Tom will be squashing the CPC within a few game editions and focusing only on the GWF and LOW, so I decided just to start playing at 2087 with the GWF again. I don't want to invest myself in something with no future.

I don't want to invest myself in something with no future. I'd hardly say that the CPC has no future. Tom has already committed to 2 more game editions (1 due out this November, the other a year later). After that, Tom has not committed to continuing the CPC, but he hasn't announced that it is "done" at that point. Heck, if Tom does "cancel" the CPC after 2122, I would encourage Mark to do an "unofficial" release- or I might ask permission to do it myself. Either way, I anticipate that there WILL be a future in the CPC.

I would like to think that even if the CPC doesn't officially continue to have sets released after next fall that the way the characters and stories are constructed, people don't have to have their leagues fold. They can just continue to use the cards they have for a while until such time as another set might happen. So the future of the CPC is whatever you make of it.

I keep hearing that CPC may be canceled but where did this talk start? Did I miss something?
