Shoot, you expect me to remember what I said? I believe I revealed that Mensar and Euritar's returns would be tied in somehow (but not revealing exactly how, of course). Thayne is returning (probably with an SE card). There will be a newcomer specifically targeting Raze. The Punks will become what they're supposed to be one more time. Dante will have a singles push. Gunnar will improve. Anything else? Somebody help me? EDIT: Just read Osk's Q&A recap. Now I really feel like a mope. Damn you for being so thorough, Kris, damn you straight to hell! ;D

I didn't talk about them at all. But there'll be changes in store for them. Suffice it to say that every team's got something shaking things up this time around.

The question will be....with which team as it won't be with Jesterelli(Looks like All the World's a Stage might be a singles act next year)

Well, I honestly believe that Dante should be updated and given the title of a "Chosen One" and psuhed as one of or the top heel in the CPC.
Here's why: In storyline, Dante is a rookie wrestler who also happens to have a career as a well known actor. So this is a guy with a ton of talent, who';s good looking , and has mainstream crossover appeal. Its a wrestling promoter's dream. AND he's a home-grown talent?
Logic says that CPC should push him to the moon.

Good thoughts, there, PH. But if you think another way about Dante's career trajectory, you might see why he might be the perfect face foil for somebody else.

Listen. I'm done talking about that. It's a dead horse that too many people are flogging. Once it was funny. Now, it's not.
Seriously.
I know the smiley is there, and that's cool, but can we just focus on what's coming up? I dropped a teaser right there that nobody's picking up on yet. Go for it!

It's fine. I probably deserve some of it. But you never know what you're getting sometimes when the sketches go from pencil to ink, and then you've got two weeks to get the set out. I join the chorus of no wife-beaters.

I haven't followed CPC since the 2113 set (But I do have 2119)but hearing that Euritar is returning and the Punks are gonna get an update has me excited.
Maybe I might just check out the CPC sets in the future.
I wish Tom would of kept Euritar around personally. And the Punks breaking up and feuding bumbed me out. I got a look at their stats some time back, and they well..just didn't look too hot.
Good stuff Mark. Thanks for the teasers.

It's absolutely Brainstorm.
How much longer can Brainstorm possibly hang around though? If I'm correct he's the longest active wrestler left in the COTG-verse. Well, unless you count Killer Queen.
On another hand Mark...give us some insight on what I think is the most intriguing storyline in COTG, what is gonna happen to Puma? Is this going to be the set where the Animen finally strike back?

Brainstorm was a guy who in the GWF, I didnt like. but when he came to the CPC I thought his direction really worked for him.
And as of 2119 he was the leader of Colby's Penthouse group which I really thought fit him. I also liked the pairing of Prodigy and Deamon as the Superior Assassins.
But as far as Brainstorm being around for too long. Hell..Look at how long Wolf went. And Dreadnaught never officially died so there could be a promoter out there in 2121 still using him.
Its the future, so you have to assume medical technology has improved somewhat and lifespans have been dramatically increased. I assume in the GWF era wrestler's careers can span, 30, 40 years.
Look at Funk in real life. He's been going for like forever. He does look like crap these days, but he's still out there busting skulls.

It's absolutely Brainstorm. Not that I'm agreeing or disagreeing, but why? You didn't give a reason but sounded convinced. I'm curious. As for Puma, it's not so much him as the Species/Savage Kingdom saga that moves in a way that Dr. Barnabas probably doesn't want it to go. Puma's not done yet, though, as I said at the Q&A at the Con. Dante will no longer be with Jesterelli. That was also stated at the Con. But the breakup will be amicable.

Brainstorm and Dante both have the background in acting, the whole matinee idol image. I don't remember right off if Brainstorm had an athletic background prior to the GWF...but to me he is a good foil for Dante.
On another subject, I don't know if you've even started working on the cards for Mensar or Euritar, but considering the well documented restrictions on CPC stats how could Mensar or Euritar possibly be an upgrade? They were main-event level GWF'ers, with that sort of stat set, wouldn't it unbalance the CPC roster. If you go by Lord Rahl's rating system...the most powerful card active in the CPC is Zed Marlowe with a 47. Both Mensar and Euritar rated a 47 upon their debut.
Just for the record, I like the wife-beaters. My CPC vision has always been similar to the old ECW. The fans are gritty, less civilized and refined than the GWF fans, and so are the wrestlers. To me the wife-beaters say, "no glitz, no cute costumes, just wrestling".
But...that's my $.02
