JWA WRESTLING DONTAKU
Jingu Stadium
Tokyo, Japan
June 28, 2119
The final show on the JWA Eastern Asia Tour is Wrestling Dontaku! The championship final in the All-Asia heavyweight title tournament takes place here tonight in a best two out of three falls match. Block A winner the Iron Sheik against Block B winner Nick Bockwinkel!
It is now known that Mr. Fuji will manage the Iron Sheik and the Russian Bear Ivan Koloff. How much of a factor will Fuji's presence at ringside be in the main event? Nick Bockwinkel was interviewed before the show and he talked about coming to Japan on his own, without Bobby Heenan. He won his last four round robin matches to come back and take first place in Block B. One more win and he is the All-Asia heavyweight champion.
The rest of the card was filled out by matching up each place from Block A with Block B. One tag team match was signed with the last two wrestlers from each block. As a special attraction, the IWWF will have both its championships defended here tonight.
Magnum T.A. & Don Leo Jonathan def. Ivan Koloff & Mr. Fuji by D.Q.
The opening match served to incite the crowd. Fuji and Koloff were not concerned with winning. Koloff worked over Jonathan and then was double teamed. Koloff used the Russian chain which brought about the disqualification. The JWA better beware Fuji's Foreign Force.
IWWF Tag Team Championship
Reggie Bennett & Yumi Fukawa (ch) def. Michiko Ohmukai & Bionic J

An excellent title match from the IWWF. The challengers got off to a good start. Bennett and Yumi went at it with Bionic J. An incredible dive to the floor by Yumi allowed Bennett to come in finish off Bionic J with a side slam.
Terry Gordy def. Giant Baba
An awesome match here as both laid it all on the line. Back and forth they went just hammering on each other. Baba came close to winning but never did land the Neckbreaker Drop. Gordy fought like a man possessed. Baba did the same in taking powerbombs, piledrivers and the Oriental Spike. Gordy never let up and finally won (Baba 6 coins).
Antonino Rocca def. William Muldoon
A very long match as Muldoon once again showed he wrestles more defensively, waiting for a chance to capitalize on a mistake. Rocca totally dominated the match but couldn't put him away. Finally he applied the argentinian backbreaker for the win (Muldoon 5 coins).
Antonio Inoki def. Destroyer
A very intense battle that Inoki really controlled, but the Destroyer didn't go down easily. Inoki dominated with many finishers and fights on the outside. Destroyer had his chances to pick up the win but Inoki got it down with the octopus (Destroyer 5 coins).
Rikidozan def. Steve Williams
Dr. Death could do nothing to slow down the assault of Rikidozan. It was non-stop with punishing moves until the hiplock put Williams down for the pin.
Johnny Valentine def. Masked Superstar
The Masked Superstar came close to winning Block A, and came out of the gates fast in this one. Valentine slowed him down and the two went to work on each other. Valentine came out on top with the atomic skullcrusher.
Mil Mascaras def. Bruiser Brody
Over four months ago Brody gave Mascaras a great challenge for his world heavyweight title. Mascaras came to Japan shortly after losing the gold to Andre the Giant, and almost won Block A. Mascaras scored a lucky win over Brody with a slingshot plancha. Brody jumped him after the match and they fought to the back.
Jimmy Snuka def. Frank Gotch
The Superfly was in vicious mode and Gotch wasn't ready for it. A lot of damage done outside then the Superfly Leap put Gotch away.
IWWF Heavyweight Championship
Molly Holly def. Jazz (ch)

A great womens world title match that was non-stop action. These two have been battling it out in IWWF and continued those bad feelings here. It was a real even match with brawling on the floor. Molly came back with a necksnap and scored the huge three count to win the title. Jazz attacked her after the match and put her in the STF.
Best 2/3 Falls
All-Asia Championship Final
Nick Bockwinkel def. Iron Sheik, 2-0

Nick Bockwinkel def. Iron Sheik, 2-0
A great first fall with both men doing everything they could to get an advantage. Neither were shy about taking the fight to the floor. Both did some damage and Fuji did not get involved to this point. Bockwinkel took the first fall with the figure four.
More top flight action in the second fall. Things were real even and back and forth. Bockwinkel took the match and the gold with the figure four as Mr. Fuji looked on, unable to do anything in time.
