I was a big fan from the Spike TV debut in 2005 and that ended with early 2007, I've always watched a show to be entertained and well if it does not entertain I stop watching.
Started to watch iMPACT! again the last two weeks and in my view it has a good blend of wrestling and storylines, I'm entertained again with their product.
I'm not saying it's perfect, but I like most of whats going on with the onscreen product.
British Invasion are very cool, add Sheik Bashir to the mix even better...

I've tried two weeks in a row to watch this crap and had to turn it off 30-45 minutes in both times. I've never seen a company make a bigger mess over Heel/Face relations. Who the hell is a face and who's heel I can't tell. That's like Wrestling 101 and they don't get it. I can turn on ROH and immediately tell that Austin Aries and Jimmy Jacobs are heel and Danielson and Black are face. I've watched an hour an a half of TNA crap and have no idea whether Foley, Angle, Fat Joe, etc are good guys or bad so why should I care what happens to them.

alot of the time for me, TNA is hit and miss. a couple weeks in a row, they can do something good. Then they start doing some far out, weird shit and I lose interest. I agree with ya C.C., they may not be perfect (heck, even the WWE stumbles with their shows) but TNA has a long way to go to be a challenge for TV Ratings with the WWE! They need to focus on being consistent (in a good way) and do the things that they know are right! Otherwise, they're not gonna survive.  |

After watching Slammiversary, they delivered a very good ppv with a nice suprise swerve at the end which could really be fun to watch but they need to make it work right. I won't say just yet, if you don't read results and what not...

well, I'm sure I'll figure it out soon enough. Good that they had a good card. I heard on the other board that they only sold 6,000 tickets thus far. Not too many considering the arena holds like 20,000 seats or something. They have to give away tickets to fill all those seats  |

They have to give away tickets to fill all those seats Yeah TNA was heading back to smaller venues and this one was strange to book, yeah it was a good crowd and they were into the night but if I was a paying person and knew people were getting in free that would suck, but then again getting in free wouldn't be that bad too. |

Okay I watched TNA for the 1st time in a long time.I was skeptical when I saw Hulk Hogan and heard the mention of the name Bischoff.But with
Scott Hall,Sean Waltman,Tara (formerly Victoria),Mr Andersen (formerly Mr Kennedy),Mick Foley,AJ Styles,Kurt Angle and YES The Natureboy Ric Flair on their roster...how can you not be entertained.
Like I told Crimson on another thread,TNA is a whole different kind of Promotion than The WWE.9 times out of 10 if you follow WWE you don't follow TNA and vice versa.Tell you what I like what McMahon is doing on Raw,but TNA was more like the kind of promotion I'm used to watching.
Yes at first I thought oh no Bischoff is gonna run TNA into the ground like he did with The AWA and WCW.I was pleasantly surprised.
I found myself liking Hogan for the 1st time ever.Even though Bischoff still has that pompus attitude at least in this incarnation he's fair!An interesting angle to say the least.My only disappointment was that The Main Event for their PPV is Styles vs Samoa Joe.Okay that storyline is as bad as Randy Orton being in 9 10ths of RAW's Main Events.But to TNA's credit I saw a lot of new talent.
The matches were good!Great atheliticism!It's good to see a good NwO storyline so many years after the fact.I mean WWE destroyed the coolness of the NwO just like tney destroyed the coolness of Goldberg,Meng and The Road Warriors.TNA has managed to reinstill some coolness into The NwO.With Ric Flair on the show.There is a slight hope that he may assemble a new Horsemen Team.
Here the bottomline TNA is more of what I want in a wrestling show.Lots of action,short promos and lots of surprises.They even got rid of the hexagon ring!Fianally thgis is my disclaimer:None of you are forced to agree to anything I just wrote.Watch TNA,watch WWE,decide for yourself.

Speaking of Velvet Sky,who is her partner you that one called Von Erich?Is she really an Atkinson or whatever the Von Erichs real last name was or is she a faker using the name because it's popular?And where is Awesome Kong during all this?
That girl that's teaming with Tara is going to turn on her you can just tell.The TNA Women's division aka Knockout are way better than WWE Divas...in athletic ability anyway.It's up in the air on who are prettier and yes I like women wrestlers because they're pretty.Not that I've never cheered for ugly women wrestlers cause I have!
TNA have the best small guys in the business!Suicide,Amazing Red,AJ Styles...these guys amaze me with the kind of move they are performing!

Lacy sucks in the ring, WWE wanted her but I think she only lasted maybe 4 months if that in training, she is just terrible but nice on the eye's...
I'm done watching TNA right now, I hope things turn around for TNA but for me it's not what I want to watch and if more older guys come in it's just WCW all over again and really the TNA roster is old even with the new guys, anyway it's all in the eye of the beholder and I was a huge WCW fan but WCW is dead...

That's Kerry's daughter?Cool,but she is pretty talentless.She just kind of floundered through the match.
You know what to each his own.I enjoy TNA.but it doesn't mean you have to.You enjoy WWE I'm not so hot on them.But I do like all the turmoil going on over there,with DX and Bret Hart.So we'll watch TXN in a couple of weeks and decide if it's better than the existing ECW.Hopefully it will.
Speaking of old guys...Undertaker (formerly Mark Callous),SCSA (aka Stunning Steve),HHH (aka Terror Ryzing),Kane (aka Terminator Mastino),HBK,Gold Dust and mostly The King Jerry Lawler are all from the same era of wrestling as the TNA guys I mentioned.The old guys are a big draw or they would be around 10 or 20 years after the fact.
Bottomline if you're having fun watching a show,any show watch it.

No doubt the older crop of wrestlers draw, I think in the end you'll like and or dislike either product coming from TNA or the WWE, for me TNA won't be watched and I have no comment other then they lost my viewership at this time...

For a 3rd week I watched TNA.Once again Eric Bischoff not totally above board but fair.Sentencing Jeff Jarrett to cook burgers in the concession was different.Bischoff making Foley dress in a suit was good too.Especially when Foley got mustard on the collar!
I gotta give credit to Hogan.He's allowing Flair to be The Old Ric Flair that we know and love.Hogan bleeding at the hands of Flair,AJ Styles and Desmond Wolfe was like watching The Horsemen of the 80s!Abyss who was handcuffed to the ropes saves the day by breaking the handcuffs and attacking Flair,AJ and Wolfe.This leads to The Main Event on March 8 when TNA goes head to head with WWE!Flair & AJ Styles vs Abyss & Hogan!
Again this week I have to praise Daffeny!She got DQed in a match with ODB for hitting her with steel steps and a mop handle!Tara can shout threats all she wants.Daffeny can beat her!She's a way better heel than any of The Beautiful People.I think she ranks up there with Awesome Kong!Daffeny WILL be Knockouts Champion!
Hall & Waltman destroyed Nash & Eric Young!I think that's a good thing.Why you ask?Because if Nash and Young want to do something about this attack,Hall & Waltman will have to receive contracts!And BTW whatever happened to the two most talented guys from that bunch of wrestlers called The Clique?Bad Ass Billy Gunn and Road Dog!The New Age Outlaws were an intrigal part of that group,yet they've been shunned by the rest."We got two words for ya..." that was Road Dog's schtick,way before there was a DX!
Kurt Angle gets even with Mr Anderson by KOing him with a chairshot and costing him a Global Title reign.Great stuff!
Team 3D vs The Nasty Boys was good.Hard hitting,well written scenario.Bubba pulling the table away when The Nasty were about to put Devon through it was classic!Now I heard that Saggs was dead.While he is alive and wrestling,Knobs should not be in the ring!All those years of extreme tag team action took it's toll on Knob's body.I'm affraid he'll be one of those guys that gets permanently injured because he thought he could return to the ring!
Bottomline is TNA is entertaining!Much more so for me than Raw!I tried watching Raw but switched the station before the Main Event.Right now I have had enough of Orton being in the Main Event.Tell the truth I'm tired of Cena,HHH,HBK etc.There are only so many ways to present these wrestlers and I think we have seen about all of them.
Kofi Kingston and some of the newer guys should be the backbone of RAW.But they are being pushed back to accomadate the so called Main Event wrestlers.TNA showcases their low and mid card guys.That's what we need to see.The future stars need character development.You can't just become a Natureboy or Incredible Hulk without character development.
Before I leave great spot by Beer Money and Morgan & Hernandez!It really helped to sell The March 8th show.It will be Hernandez & Matt Morgan vs Beer Money for The TNA Tag Titles.That will be a match worth watching.

Okay I don't care what you watch or who you think is great!20 years after the fact Flair and Hogan can still light up an arena with their fire!On the other hand though,I personally don't think either of them should be in the ring working.Thereis a reason they retired.Neither is capable of working like they did in the 80s!This is why there is COTG/LOW,Firepro Wrestling and wrestling simulators.If we want to keep that feud alive we can do it in sports fantasy.
The fact is Ric Flair is still willing to bleed to give some heat to TNA's March 8th show.They were making a big deal about how Hogan promised he wouldn't get in the ring when he agreed to come to TNA.Now with all that said,Dixie Carter and whoever REALLY runs TNA wouldn't let Flair or Hogan near the ring if they thought either would or could sustain permanent injury.That is the reality of this.But still,let AJ Styles and Abyss fight it out.There is no real reason for Flair & Hogan to go one more time.Hogan fans are always going to say Hogan's better,Flair fans will always say Flair was better.What we don't want to see is Flair and Hogan end up like Pat Patterson and Jerry Brisco.I don't need to see Hogan or Flair humiliating themselves for the money!
TNA was great this week.Mr Anderson has to be "The Funniest Man in Wrestling"!
He came out dressed as Kurt Angle wearing some sort of cookie sheet on a chain to represent Angle's Warrior Medal.When Angle came to the ring Anderson gave him a major beatdown!Then to top it off Anderson stole The Medal!This really setup their match next week!Anderson is really a good heel!
I think it's refreshing to see Angle as a Face too!
Lots happening with Angelina Love.She keeps getting beatup by The Beautiful People.BTW whatever happened to Billy Gunn wasn't he a Beautiful People member?Anyway this week Velvet Sky whipped Angelina with her belt and Love got hit with the ugly stick.This is all fine and well but she needs an ally!Someone like Awesome Kong!Or at least someone with enough talent to whoop The Beautiful People's heinies!
Jeff Jarrett's storyline is getting good Bischoff made him The Janitor this week.Jeff has an impromptu FCA Match in The Men's Room then has to come out to face a really out of shape Tomko!Jarrett manages to get a win,Bischoff is disappointed.He can't seem to break Jarrett!Somewhere down the line I see a match to determine who is going to head TNA Jarrett or Bischoff.It will be classic when it comes down!
No Hall,Waltman,Nash or Young this week.Can't wait to see how the writers write their way out of that one.
Foley goes to charm school is amusing.It's not going to work if he doesn't cut his hair and shave the beard.He did it before when he 1st came to TNA.Mick looks good in the suit.But he's been wearing that suit for what?7 days?hahaha!Good storyline!
Look for Samoa Joe to return on Monday for the big TNA show!It will be a make it or break it show.If the show is good it will be something wrestling fans will be talking about for years to come.Like The 1st Nitro or Starcade or Slamboree or The Bunkhouse Stampede.We'll see...
