Underground Years

So I'm about to finish up 2110. I just did a show a month throughout and will do the same in 2111. I've found most of the divisions are still running smoothly with plenty of contenders except for the InterStellar division.

I constantly find myself at a loss for who to pull up as the next contender. Holocaust is the current champion and so far has just been ripping apart the likes of Bishop Hell and Gila. I don't want to use the Dominator, Colossus or Jack of Diamonds right now because it will needlessly tie them down. Raven's the Heavyweight Champion so he's out of the picture. Angst has only been around a year and I'm afraid him getting the belt would lead to him losing it almost immediately. There is Varisty coming in for 2111 though.

So what would you do. Just pull a main eventer down for him or just have him tear through the lower calibur wrestlers?

You can do that, or bring in some bootlegs to make things more interesting. I'd personally recommend the nGo cards. I brought in a number of them during the underground years to fill out the roster, and they were awesome.

Angst is a highly frustrating card. He's getting destroyed by Kati one show and then easily beating Colossus the next. He's had about 9 matches so far and no panic attacks.

The guy was totally schizo for me when I had that card. That's why I liked the concept so much!

I had a question concerning this...did anyone use any bootleg cards for the Underground Years, or did they just use the list provided as the official roster? I know many don't like using bootleg cards in their official feds, so to speak, but I'm curious.

Yeah he won the Special Matches belt from Zouave then proceeded to get destroyed by Kati in his first title defense then followed that up with back to back wins over Colossus. He's got an InterStellar shot coming up against Holocaust which should be interesting considering how self-destructive their cards can be. I'm hoping for 1 panic attack before the underground years are over.

So Angst ended up having a panic attack during the Holocaust match. It didn't really effect the outcome as Holocaust tossed him to the outside and they both got DQed as a result.

Angst took the rematch though and is the new InterStellar Champion.

Just curious, it'll be about a year before I hit the underground, so who is on everone's roster. I thought I'd run maybe 2 to 4 fight cards a month.

Plus top contenders, I thought it would be interesting if there wasn't a top contender, rather who could even make it to the show without being caught by Cordanus. Maybe on certain shows, 15 wrestlers were able to make it, while on others, 8.

BTW, does anyone have a bootleg of Duckboy or stats for it? I don't think I could play without having him in it. If not, if someone just has stats, I may have to provide the drawing for it.

I personally hate using bootlegs in my official fedsw, but I did use them in the CPC in the Underground years and when the next set came out I scaled back to the official roster. Luckily for me all my champs at that point were official characters.

As for Duck Boy, I plan on making an "Official" bootleg of him very soon.

You could also probably make an argument for bring in Talisman, Indigo and for keeping Threatre of Pain for the underground years. That'd give you 30some guys.

I've never played CPC, but will when I reach that point in the game. Can someone explain to me when the underground years are and why they're considered "underground"? Also, how many official wrestlers are there during this time?

Wrestling gets banned at the end of 2109. The GWF runs to a different dimension for the years of 2110 and 2111 while the CPC secretly continues with shows in defiance of the ban.
