Well, it's passed and in the books. I'll give my thoughts without spoiling anything.
-A wrestler I like won.
-A wrestler I dislike lost.
-I could've cared less about either title match, before or after they occured.
-No ECW Title match. We now officially know it's permenant status.
-Jericho's talents were wasted...again.
-The rest of the card...eh. That's it.
Not the worst WM, but not anywhere near WM quality. I've seen better In Your House shows. I'm just glad I didn't pay anything for it.

Hey Jay,
Unfortunately I paid for it. Got some free pizza though, and my wife and I tied for our betting pool, winning $3.50 each.
Taker-HBK was a great match, but the rest of the card was so-so, just like you said.
Nice to see Steamboat do such a good job against Jericho. All that poitless buildup though for a totally missed punch by Rourke. Thank God Jericho can sell like a true heel!
Poor Randy Orton. The guy should've won, but instead we get a Triple H ego feed. Could we at least have had some interference by Legacy and the McMahons?
It's funny how WWE always blows the "milestone" WMs (even though they each had a couple great matches, as a whole, WM10 and WM20 sucked too).

Yeah, I forgot about Steamboat. He does look great.
I think what bothered me the most was the entire card was nothing but rematches. Except for MITB, there wasn't an original match on the card. Heck, Monday Night Raw has more original matches than that.

I honestly believe Taker VS. HBK is the greatest match in Mania history.

Heck, Monday Night Raw has more original matches than that. I hear ya. I read on some site that Orton and Triple H had wrestled on PPV 7 times prior to Mania. Plus, how many times have Edge and Cena faced off on PPV? Too many. Throwing Big Show into the mix didn't make it any better. I wonder how many World Titles all the main event participants have between them. My guess is 30 or more, which is just sad. There was no "new guy" on the main event scene for us to pull for this year (like Savage at WM4, Austin at WM14, and Benoit at WM20). This really took away from the excitement.

Steamboat was fucking amazing for a guy his age (and with his ring rust). I know he's been helping out some of the Divas (or he used to), but damn.
MitB was good as always (Kofi busted his ass out there!), Hardy v. Hardy was oddly disappointing (I was expecting it to tear the house down; hindered by Extreme Rules?), UT/HBK blew everything else out of the water, and the rest was Just There but nothing really offensive other than sacrificing the returning Divas to the Santino comedy bit.
Not showing the Tag Title match was a dumb call, especially since it actually unified the belts. They couldn't have cut down Kid Rock's performance and five minutes of Austin's nonsense to make room for these four upcoming stars? RIP Tag Titles, this time for good.
Amusing tidbit regarding Taker/HBK: When HBK went up for the moonsault to the floor, I jokingly called "caught, Tombstone." Imagine my surprise when that turned out to be the ultimate finish 15 minutes later!
