source: www.pwtorch.comTNA and Mick Foley have come to an agreement. He will able to debut in TNA as soon he is contractually permitted to. His current contract with WWE expires by September 1. Spike TV helped TNA in landing the deal with Foley, and he may have a subsidized contract. Foley could end up being involved in other projects with Spike TV. WWE dropped Foley from television a few weeks ago after they found he was unhappy with his status in the company and likely not renewing his contract. There was a lot of buzz among the wrestlers in the locker room this past, but TNA officials are keeping quiet on the situation. Although, they were hopeful that TNA President Dixie Carter would get a deal done with Foley.

I was never the world's greatest Mick Foley fan, but I thought he did a great job as an announcer. He and Jim Ross made a great team. Now that he's driven his schtick firmly into the ground, Jerry Lawler does nothing for me anymore, so Foley-Ross was the best announcing team.
I'd love to see him get in on the TNA announcing, which is jus abysmal. Don West needs to go. Tenay used to be the best announcer in wrestler, until his TNA days....but I think Tenay-Foley could be quite good.

I think Tenay is still very good, but when you're working with "cracked-out, home shopping network" Don West, it's hard for anyone to look good. Foley should be good, if of course he's commentating.

It will at least add another name that a lot of people know to the roster

Foley may end up in the commentator's booth, but I bet he feuds with Samoa Joe first, and tries to "make" him by selflessly losing to him. It's sort of the way Foley has been going the last several years, making younger people look good by losing to them.

Foley's a legend. His presence helps TNA. Ideally, in a commentating capacity and only rarely a wrestling capacity.
