In addition to being unoriginal, it's also lame.
Far be it for them to try to showcase the title in some one-on-one match, they have to do this clusterf#$@. 5 guys bumbling around the ring does not make for great wrestling.
I'd at least give them some credit if they had no pinfalls except the last one -- instead of having what will be an incredibly stupid cheapening of the belt by having multiple guys win it on one night.

Yeah, before Adamle announced the official name for this farce I already had it named "the clusterfuck".
There are soooooooo many things wrong with this idea, it almost embarassing.

Holy shit... they're doing this twice? Or is ECW going to scrape together five bodies to make this a trifecta of suck?

Well, they have to find some way to get the belt off of Punk. We can't actually have a champion that can wrestle now, can we?
Take care,
Jay

They just have nothing going on top of either program. Far be it for them to work a nice program for CM Punk or HHH....they have to do these bumblefucks for the title.
HHH-Khali....now this.....Smackdown's championship picture couldn't blow more.
As for Raw, they apparently had the guts to put the title on an up and comer, but have no confidence in him carrying the show on
Is this crack wrestling writer Freddie Prinze Jr.'s work? He must be a C-student at the Vince Russo school of booking.

I'm actually a little bit intrigued about the Smackdown scramble. On the Raw side, we have four former champions + CM Punk in what is obviously a formula of "CM Punk tries to gain credibility by defeating four former champs at the same time." But on the Smackdown side, they avoided doing a scramble of Triple H, Jeff Hardy, Edge, Taker, and Big Show that they could have easily went with, and booked the match with the likes of MVP, Shelton Benjamin, and The Brian Kendrick.
Part of me thinks back a few years ago when Triple H booked himself to roll over every championship contender on Raw for like a year or so (Kane, RVD, Booker T, etc.), but part of me wonders if WWE actually has the balls to pull the trigger on crowning its second unproven champion of the year in any of the latter three. We've already gotten Havoc's favorite super cruiserweight CM Punk as champion this year, could it happen again on the Smackdown side?

Part of the reasoning behind the SD Scramble line-up is that both Kennedy and Umaga are injured. It's way too early for Kendrik to be in there, but assuming Edge and UT are still tied together for some stupid reason (shouldn't HiaC end programs?) and that they have some sort of plan for Big Show, Kendrik was pretty much the best choice they had left who wasn't on the DL -- or penciled in for the ECW Scramble. Seriously, look at the current SD roster and eliminate HHH, Shelton, MVP, Hardy, Big Show (will probably have the post-Unforgiven champion to himself), UT, and Edge (still tied up). Now cut all of the Divas, announcers, and tag guys (like Festus). Scratch off Kennedy and Umaga for injuries (Helms too, although I have no idea why he's even still listed). Carlito's probably still in the doghouse, so no main event for him. DH Smith hasn't been seen in months. Who does that leave you with? Kendrik, Kozlov, Kenny Dykstra, Jimmy Wang Yang... and the just-(re-)debuted R-Truth. (I'm not counting Super Crazy; he's supposed to be on the ECW roster.)

Big Show, Khali, Kozlov, Festus... they could have even been lazy and put both Edge and Taker into the match and thrown out Benjamin.
still, they went with Kendrick. Baffles the mind, and with Kendrick doing things like not wrestling last Friday when his other opponents were busy beating the hell out of each other sort of makes me wonder if it's building to something. Now I don't think Kendrick would be anything but a transitional champion for now -- imagine a scenario where Vicki Guerrerro offers Undertaker a title shot in the same night in order to appease him... Kendrick would then serve as a transitional champion in order to move the belt from Triple H to Undertaker without either veteran having to lose to the other.
