Hey folks. I know I have talked about this in other sections (mostly in the POW section), but I figured this belong here.
Strike or Submit is an MMA game that you play with dice and the sheets/cards. You could print them on card stock, but I have them each in sleeves and in binders. It allows me to split them by weight-class and, thus, finding them is WAY easier.
Each sheet has UP Offense, Guard Offense & Guard Defense, Mount Offense & Mount Defense. It is easy to learn and easy to play. Designed for 2 people, I play solo 98% of the time and find that it is smooth and moves quickly. I really like fighting out bouts for an upcoming PPV or fight night, just to see what could happen.
I've been playing since 2006 and I started making more guys soon after that. I have been running cards for 3 different regions with different rules (America, Japan, & Brazil).
I figured I would share this and share some results....I figured someone might be interested.

Association of No Holds Barred Athletics = AHHBA Ultimate Combat Championship = UCC
Card 1: "The Journey Begins" 10/28/2006
Light Heavyweight Title Tournament "Fight-In" Round (3 Rounds – 5 Minutes Each - US Rules)
Match 1: Alisteer Overseem vs. Guy Mezger Mezger dominated round one with quick strikes. Alisteer was saved by the bell, but was obviously over matched. Mezger won via TKO (punches / strikes) at 0:41 of round two. Overseem will be feeling this beating for a few weeks to come. Mezger has now earned a second round match-up with Chuck Liddell.
Match 2: Kevin Randleman vs. Wanderlei Silva The buzz around this match was huge, as many people were predicting a true classic. Wanderlei decided that he really did not want to work that long. Silva was able to catch a shooting Randleman in a Muay Thai clinch and a sharp Muay Thai knee to the mouth for the KO at 0:53 of the first round. This match stunned the crowd, so there was little to no reaction for the dramatic knock out. Silva now draws Vitor Belfort in the next round.
Match 3: Ryan Gracie vs. Igor Vovchanchyn Ryan took round one with his Jui Jitsu skills. Igor landed some hard strikes, which hurt the young Gracie, but Ryan still took the round. As round 2 advanced, Ryan again tried to use his Jui Jitsu, but it backfired on him. While Igor was locked in Ryan's guard, Ryan started complaining to the ref about Igor sweating and being slippery. This opportunity allowed Igor to started pounded Gracie with hard headshots. The ref stopped the bout at 4:58 of the second round. (TKO – strikes). After the bout, Gracie was still complaining about the bout. Igor draws Randy Couture in the second round.
Match 4: Jeremy Horn vs. Dean Lister Both men had the same idea about the bout. Both men were waiting for the other to make a big and mistake. Each round played out the same way, with Horn scoring with semi-hard shots, but Dean scoring with solid takedowns. At the end of the third round, we go to the judges' cards. Horn is the unanimous winner (30 – 27, 30 – 27, & 29 – 28) and draws Tito Ortiz in the next round.
Main Event: (5 Rounds – 5 Minutes Each Round – US Rules) Match 5: Rich Franklin vs. Anderson Silva Anderson dominated the first two rounds with solid kicks and sharp strikes. Franklin rebounds and scores a cut on Silva's head over the in round three. In round four, the bell saved Anderson Silva from a late reverseal into an armbar submission by Rich. Going into round five, it seemed like either man could take it. Silva went out strong and finished the bout at 2:25 at of the 5th round. (TKO – kicks). This could have a big impact on the up-coming Middleweight Tournament!

ANHBA & Elite Zero Present: Elite Zero 1: "The Navigation Begins" (Card 1) From Tokyo, Japan - 11/18/2006
(Elite Zero is the Far East part of the ANHBA. These bouts are held in a ring, with a 10 minute first round, followed by 2 five minute rounds. I use the usual 15 marks per 10 minutes for round 1, but use the American rules for the 5 minute rounds - 10 marks per 5 minutes)
Lightweight Bout: Kid Yamamoto vs. Genki Sudo These two explosive fighters went full out in this war. Hard leg kicks and strikes opened the bout, but once it went to the ground, it was all submissions. Yamamoto and Sudo both had leg locks hooked in, but Yamamoto was able to really crank back and make Sudo tap at 7:49 of the 1st round.
Kid Yamamoto - Tap Out (leg lock) at 7:49 of Round 1
Lightweight Bout: Takanori Kawajiri vs. Caol Uno Round one saw a lot of waiting around for a mistake, as both, men tried to sneak in some offense. Both men were able to open small cuts on each other, but nothing that warranted a stoppage. Round two saw the same kind of action, until Kawajiri scored the knock out at 4:36 of Round 2.
Takanori Kawajiri – KO (strikes) at 4:36 of Round 2
Middleweight Bout: Dan Henderson vs. Ryo Chonan The hype around the bout was that Henderson was looking at this fight as being a stepping stone. Henderson looked very confident at the onset, trying to use his superior wrestling skills to his advantage. Dan was unsuccessful in shooting in on Ryo, but his last attempt left him open for Ryo's Diving Heel Hook. Dan was forced to tap out at 3:01 of the first round.
Ryo Chonan – Tap Out (Diving Heel Hook) at 3:01 of Round 1
Light-Heavyweight Bout: Quinton Jackson vs. Hidehiko Yoshida Round 1 saw 10 minutes of each man blistering the other with hard shots trying to gain an advantage. It was hard to determine who got the best of round 1, but both men went for the kill during round 2. Yoshida was able to trap an arm and made Jackson tap-out at 3:02 of the second round with a Fujiwara arm bar.
Hidehiko Yoshida – Tap Out (Fujiwara arm bar) at 3:02 of Round 2.
Heavyweight Bout: Kimbo Slice vs. Brad Imes A brutal war was what the fans expected, and neither man disappointed. Both of these athletes left it all in the ring. Slice tried to chop Imes' legs out with stiff kicks, but he caught hard rights and lefts for his effort. The leg kicks had some effect, because Slice was able to escape Brad's guard several times. Slice also showed his refusal to tap, as he broke out of a key lock and an ankle hook. Round 1 belonged to Imes, but some felt that Slice had a strong showing against the tall cowboy. As round 2 began, Slice tried to get the big man down and end the fight. Imes showed a lot of pose and stuck to his game plan. About half way through the round, Imes caught Slice in a Triangle Choke out of the guard. Slice fought hard to get out, but eventually passed out, causing the bout to end at 2:07.
Brad Imes – KO (Triangle Choke) at 2:07 of Round 2.
Heavyweight Bout: Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic vs. Heath Herring The crowd was very vocal about their support for Cro Cop. Mirko did not disappoint. Mirko took the offensive early, with hard leg kicks and jabs. Heath fought back hard, trying to shoot in and take it to the mat. Mirko stayed focused and as Heath attempted to trade a few jabs, Cro Cop caught him in the side of the head with a vicious kick to the side of the head. Heath was unconscious before he hit the mat.
Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic – KO (kick to head) at 5:13 of Round 1.
Main Event: Legends Collide Marco Ruas vs. Oleg Taktarov The announcement of this bout, alone, nearly sold-out the show less than 2 hours after tickets went on sale. To say that this bout had "huge buzz" would be a gross understatement. As the bout started, Ruas tried to stay away from Oleg. Taktarov was his usual patient self, until he slipped on a wet spot about 90 seconds in. Ruas shot at Oleg's leg, but Taktarov managed to avoid him and hook Ruas leg in an Achilles' Lock. Oleg wrapped the leg and Ruas tapped out at 2:15 of the first round! The crowd was stunned at first, and then began to boo loudly. Oleg was declared the winner, as the Tokyo crowd voiced their displeasure.
Oleg Taktarov – Tap – Out (Achilles' Lock) at 2:15 of Round 1.
