ha ha. Well, I always loved when they would show Hogan defending the title on the syndicated shows, so that is why he was the main event before the intermission.
I try to make sure that he cycles between the 3 shows (Challenge, Superstars, & All-American) , but not over expose him. I also try to make the main event for All-American (the dark matches) pretty good bouts, because they get less bouts than a TV taping for Challenge & Superstars.
Just trying to keep it interesting for everyone reading as we work towards big events: SNME, War to Settle the Score, Wrestlemania, etc

Week #5[/u] 1/28/85
Pittsburgh, PA - All-American Wrestling & House Show
All-American Wrestling
Bout #1: Uncle Elmer vs. The Spoiler - The Spoiler is near 300 lbs and he looked small in the ring here against Elmer. Elmer is a hard man to move with light offense, so once Spoiler got a decent advantage, he did not let up. Spoiler wore down the huge man and used his Double Underhook Suplex to take the win.
Bout #2: Sika vs. Barry O - Barry has been showing some promise in the past few weeks, but Sika was having none of that. This was mercifully quick, as the Samoan Drop set Barry home with the losers share of the purse.
Bout #3: Paul Orndorff vs. Hillbilly Jim - Jim towers over Paul, but Paul showed that he is a true powerhouse, as he tossed Jim around the ring. Jim tried to make a comeback, but Paul cut him off and laid in the heavy shots, setting up the piledriver for the win.
Bout #4: Tonga Kid vs. Bret Hart - A great bout here of the smaller men in the WWF. Bret was truly excellent in his execution, while the Tonga Kid tried to flip and flop his way to victory. The kid was going for a vertical suplex, when Bret rolled him into a small package for the win, in this great match-up.
Main Event for All-American Wrestling Bout #5: Randy Savage vs. Pedro Morales - The former World champion again looked really flat, as Savage controlled from the opening bell. Savage did not let Pedro score any offense, as he finished him off with the Flying Elbow Drop.
-- Intermission --
Dark Matches/ House Show - *for use on other episodes of All-American Wrestling or on Home Releases.
Bout #6: 10-Man Battle Royal Moondog Spot & Rex, The Young Stallions, George Steele, Don Muraco, SD Jones, Jimmy Snuka, Buddy Rose, & Brutus Beefcake - This was a battle from the opening bell, as all 10 men started hammering someone immediately. Great action, as unlikely partnerships were formed and broken in an instant. Buddy Rose hurled Paul Roma over the top and to the floor to spell the first causality. Jim Powers answered by nailing Rose with a huge clothesline, but Rose was too massive to go over. Powers and Jones teamed up and muscled Buddy over the top. The Moondogs went immediately to work on Steele and George was ejected but not before he thumbed Spot in the eye and sent him to the mat. As Spot went down, Rex was blasted from behind by Beefcake's high knee and sent to the concrete. Snuka and Muraco pounded each other in the corner, with neither man gaining an advantage, as Powers and Jones went after Beefcake. Brutus was going over, but hooker Powers and dragged him over the top. Powers bounced off the apron and hit the floor, while Beefcake held on. Jones started pounding Beefcake, but Spot dumped Jones over the top from behind. Beefcake extended his hand to Spot to shake it, but instead Spot bit him! Then he headbutted him and threw Brutus out. Muraco called to Spot to help with Snuka. Spot and Don beat Snuka to the mat and were planning to finish him off. Muraco said for Spot to nail him with a clothesline when he shoots him off the ropes. Muraco whipped Snuka into the ropes, then dropped down, so Snuka would have to go over him. As Snuka went over Muraco, he clotheslined Spot over the top ropes, unbeknownst to Don. Snuka then turned and charged at Muraco, but Don pulled down the top rope, and Snuka sailed clean out of the ring. Muraco had won the battle royal.
Bout #7: Masked Superstar & Missing Link vs. Killer Bees - All 4 men have not appeared on WWF TV yet, so the fans knew they were seeing some of the first WWF bouts for these two teams. A good match, as the Superstar & Link used their power and the Bees their quickness. In the end, Superstar used his Spining Backbreaker on Brunzell for the win.
Advertised Main Event: Border Brawl Terry Funk vs. Tito Santana - A good, old-fashion, hard wrestling match, as these two men with huge pride hammered away on each other. Tito sent Terry out of the ring with a Flying Forearm shot. Terry started grabbing chairs and tossing them into the ring. The Tito's head was split, as he lay KOed on the spot, as Terry secured the win. The fans were furious at Funk, as he made his way to the back.

Week #6[/u] 2/2/85 [shadow=black,left,1800]World Wrestling Federation[/shadow]Boston, Massachusetts - The Boston Garden: February 2, 1985. Bout #1: WWF Tag Team Title Match US Express vs. Adrian Adonis & Dick Murdoch (champions) - Windham and Rotunda have been chasing the tag titles throughout 1985, winning bouts, but not the gold. Barry and Mike both hit the rings focused and directly at the champs. Barry pounded on Murdoch, keeping Captain Redneck in their corner. Mike and Barry worked over the veteran, but could not score the win. Dick was able to make the tag to Adonis, but Adonis went out of the ring and to the floor. Murdoch dropped down and he and Adonis walked out for the intentional COR, retaining their titles, but {again} losing the bout. Bout #2: David Sammartino vs. Lanny Poffo - David has gold on his mind, as he remains undefeated in 1985, destroying Lanny and scoring the win with his Powerslam. Bout #3: Battle of the Giants - The Ring Has Been Re-enforced![/i] Andre the Giant & Blackjack Mulligan vs. Big John Studd & King Kong Bundy - This battle of huge men started hot, as Mulligan and Bundy blasted each other with some heavy offense. Bundy tags in Studd, but Mulligan took it to him as well. The big tag to Andre, dew the crowd to their feet. Bundy came in and now all four men are pounding each other in the ring. Heenan, seeing that Mulligan and Andre were gaining the advantage, signaled for Ken Patera and Paul Orndorff to come out and help. The Heenan family were able to gain the advantage and started beating down Mulligan, as Andre was tied up on the ropes. Tito Santana & David Sammartino race down and even things up, clearing the ring and releasing Andre. Bout #4: Uncle Elmer vs. Don Muraco - Don took it to Elmer and beat him down. Don, knowing that he needed to use this advantage, used his Hawaiian Hammer to take the win. Bout #5: WWF Intercontinental TitleGreg Valentine vs. Ricky Steamboat (c) - A truly great match here, as Valentine tries to regain his IC title from Steamboat, who won it at MSG back on January 21st. The bout went back and forth, as Greg worked on Steamboat's legs and Ricky answered with hard chops and tried to use his agility to stay ahead of Greg. The fans were worked to a fever pitch, as both men scored near two counts. Greg locked on the Figure Four, but Steamboat was too close to the ropes. Steamboat was able to turn the advantage in his favor and used his Flying Crossbody to win and retain the IC title. -- INTERMISSION -- Bout #6: Missing Link & The Masked Superstar vs. Young Stallions - Link and Superstar have been teaming up on house shows and the fans in Boston get to see them together for the first time. The Stallions are two great looking young guns, but do not have the skill set yet to compete with these vets. Link finished off Roma with a Back Flying Head Butt, in a dominate bout from the two veterans. Bout #7: Tony Garea vs. Terry Funk - The tag team specialist looked good early, even scoring a fast 2 count, but Terry was not going to stand for that. Funk battled back and took it to Garea. Terry caught Tony with the Sleeper for the win and continues hit hot streak. Main Event:Hulk Hogan & Hillbilly Jim vs. Roddy Piper & Bob Orton, Jr. - The bad blood started boiling early, as Piper and Orton kept Jim in their corner. They took turns working over the big man, cheating whenever they could. Hulk kept trying to get in the ring to help his friend, which just made things worse. Jim finally battled back and made the hot tag to Hogan, who came in as a house of fire. Paul Orndorff came to ringside, while Hulk was firing off on Orton. Paul jumped up on the apron and Hulk grabbed him. Hogan dragged Paul over the top and into the ring. Hogan started to pound on Paul, while Piper blindsided him. A wild brawl broke out, and the ref had no choice but to throw the match out. JYD raced down to help Hogan and Jim. The brawl was finally ended, when Piper, Orton, and Orndorff were removed from the ring.

Week #7[/u] 2/12/1985
Poughkeepsie, NY - All-American Wrestling & House Show
All-American Wrestling Taping Bout #1: Rusty Brooks vs. The Spoiler The Spoiler dominated the big man Brooks and beat him around the ring. Spoiler used his Double-Underhook Suplex to take the win.
Bout #2: Nikolai Volkoff w/ Freddie Blassie vs. Tony Atlas - Atlas is a huge man, but Volkoff is bigger. Tony over-powered Volkoff early and used his power advantage early. Volkoff fought back and used a distraction by Blassie to nail Atlas with a sucker punch. Volkoff used his Backbreaker Drop to take the win.
Bout #3: Brutus Beefcake w/ Johnny V vs. Terry Funk - Beefcake and The Luscious One knew that Funk is not a happy camper. Funk started to brutalize Beefcake, when Johnny V tried to get involved. Funk smashed his face into the ring post and sent him to the floor. Funk beat on Beefcake and won with his Sleeper. The fans did not know where to boo or cheer Funk, as even though he just beat Beefcake, who they did not support, he is still Terry Funk.
Bout #4: The Moondogs vs. The Young Stallions - Powers & Roma look like a million bucks, where the Moondogs look like an old can of tinned meat. But this was a wrestling contest and the Moondogs showed why they are a great tag team; as they never let up on the Stallions. Spot nailed the Moondog Drop on Roma for the win.
Main Event for All-American Wrestling Bout #5: Bret Hart vs. Dynamite Kid - The first bout last week went to a double COR. This time both men picked up where the last one left off. The bout was called a 15-minute draw, as the fans stood and cheered.
-- Intermission --
House Show Bout #1: Missing Link & Masked Superstar vs. The Killer Bees - This rivalry has been growing at house shows and is posed to boil over. Link and Superstar look great as a team, as they took it to the Bees. Fast tags and quick, hard-hitting action gave Link and Superstar the advantage. The Bees formed a late rally, but Link nailed Blair with his Back Flying Headbutt for the win.
Bout #2: King Tonga vs. David Sammartino - David has not lost a bout on TV all year thus far, but he ran into a buzz saw in King Tonga. Domination and then a Thrust Kick spell the end of a quick and brutal bout.

Hogan was held down for a long 2 count, but snuck out the back. The Sheik turned up the heat, but was unable to make Hogan quit from the Camel Clutch. Hogan went into his pose down routine for the crowd after the hard-fought win.

Cleveland, Ohio Bout #1: David Sammartino vs. SD Jones - David is coming off his first loss of 1985 on the house show on the 12th and he looked like a man possessed. A huge Powerslam on the bigger Jones was all she wrote tonight. Bout #2: Bret Hart vs. Dynamite Kid - Their first two matches have gone to a double countout and a time limit draw. In their third match up, these two did not disappoint. A great back and forth bout, as each man imposed their will and then had the tide turned. In the end, Dynamite was setting Bret up for a suplex, when Bret rolled him up with a small package for the win. The fans went crazy for this awesome match. Bout #3: George "The Animal" Steele vs. Johnny Rodz - Rodz walked into a confused and angry Steele. Steele decided that he did not want Rodz in the ring and repeatedly tossed Johnny out to the floor. Rodz landed hard and was not able to get back in before the ref counted him out. Bout # 4: Tito Santana vs. Greg Valentine - A great bout between former Intercontinental Champions, as both men tried to dictate the pace. Greg tried to grind things out, while Tito wanted to turn the speed all the way up. Tito went for his Flying Forearm, but missed. Greg used this opportunity to use his Figure Four Leglock to take the win. Bout #5: Davey Boy Smith vs. Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart -The power o their respective teams did not wait long to unload on each other. Each man blistered the other with every piece of high powered offense they have and Davey attempted his Running Powerslam, but Neidhart escaped. Neidhart used a few underhanded moves and scored the win with his Powerslam. Bout #6 : Intercontinental Title Match Don Muraco vs. Ricky Steamboat (c) - Since Steamboat captured the IC title, everyone has been gunning for him. Another former champion calls for him tonight, as Muraco started fast and furious score several close 2 counts. Steamboat was fired over the ropes, but he skinned the cat and used this to his advantage. Steamboat turned the tide and scored the win with his Flying Crossbody to retain the gold. Bout #7: The Masked Superstar vs. Pedro Morales - Pedro has been the biggest disappointment of 1985. The Masked Superstar made quick work of Pedro and won with his Cobra Hold. Main Event:Bout #8: Hulk Hogan & Hillbilly Jim vs. Roddy Piper & Bob Orton, Jr. - These 4 men know each other very well and both sides started blasting before the bell even rang. Hogan pounded on Piper, but Orton made the save. The back and forth continued for a few more minutes, but Hillbilly Jim overpowered Orton and tagged in Hogan for the win with the Big Boot and then the Big Leg Drop. The fans went nuts for Hogan and Jim, as they finally scored a clean win on Orton and Piper. (But Piper has still not been pinned in 1985).

[shadow=black,left,1800]World Wrestling Federation[/shadow] The Spectrum - February 16, 1985. Philadelphia, PA Bout #1: David Sammartino vs. Johnny Rodz - David is still a house of fire and he continues here tonight. His big Powerslam spells the end of this bout and another win for Bruno's son. Bout #2: Dynamite Kid vs. Bret Hart - Another amazing bout here between these two awesome technicians. Both men again did not disappoint, as they went back and forth throughout. Dynamite went for a suplex, but Bret rolled him through into a small package but was unable to hold him. Dynamite was able to nail the Tombstone piledriver and then his Diving Head Butt to gain the win. Another great match here and the fans appreciated it. Bout #3: George "The Animal" Steele vs. SD Jones - George was not in a good mode here tonight either, just like last night night in Cleveland. He kept throwing SD out of the ring and after nailing him with some hard hitting shots, SD was not able to be the ref's count back in. Steele won via COR, again. Bout #4: Border Brawl - No DQ Tito Santana vs. Terry Funk - This one was truly a brawl. As soon as this rematch was signed, everyone knew that these men would be trying anything they could to destroy the other. They used everything that was not nailed down to pound the tar out of each other. Funk nailed Tito square in the mouth with branding iron, causing Tito to get some serious color. Funk delivered his Texas Piledriver to Tito on a chair, but Tito was able to escape the pinfall. The ref kept checking Tito's face, but the proud former IC Champion refused to quit. Funk nailed the branding iron again and scored the win on the aisle way in this intense war. -- Intermission -- Bout #5: Greg Valentine w/ Luscious Johnny V vs. Davey Boy Smith - Davey Boy used his power moves to start the bout and was showing his strength advantage, when Johnny V started mouth off at the ref. Bout # 6: Intercontinental Title Match Brutus Beefcake vs. Ricky Steamboat (c) - Johnny V did not come out with Beefcake for this match up and it probably would not have matter anyway. Steamboat came in on fire and did not let Beefcake get off any offense. Steamboat retained the gold with his Flying Crossbody. Bout #7: Missing Link vs. Pedro Morales - Morales, the former World Champion, again did not look good here tonight. Link took it to Morales and did not let up. Link nailed his Back Flying Headbutt for the win. Main Event:Bout #8: Hulk Hogan & Hillbilly Jim vs. Roddy Piper & Bob Orton, Jr. - These four men have been hooking it up for some time now and it is leading to the big event at MSG: The War to Settle the Score. The action was hot and heavy here, as Jim was trapped by Orton and Piper. Jim was able to fight back and make the hot tag to Hogan. Hogan cleaned house and took Piper out to the floor. Orton attacked Hulk, giving Piper the opportunity to wrap the camera cord around Hogan's neck and choke out the champ. The ref had no choice but to DQ Piper and Orton. Piper and Orton were booed out of the arena, as Hogan and Jim stood victorious in the ring.

Week #8Bout #1: David Sammartino vs. Brutus Beefcake (w/ Luscious Johnny V) - A solid opener here, as both men went at it like it was the main event, as the fans really got behind the son of the former champion and rooted him to a victory with his Powerslam. Bout #2: WWF Tag Team Championship Match US Express vs. Adrian Adonis & Dick Murdock - Barry and Mike have been chasing Adonis and Murdock and have beaten them via countout and DQ, but have failed to take the gold off of the champs. Barry and Mike came out fast and nailed some awesome offense to gain the early advantage. Murdock and Adonis used their underhanded tactics to turn the tide. They isolated Rotunda and wore him down, as Windham tried to get in and save his partner. Rotunda was able to make the hot tag and Windham was a house of fire. Rotunda took Murdock off the apron and to the floor, as Windham nailed his Bulldog on Adonis to tag the match and the titles! The fans went crazy for the US Express and the two young men celebrated their huge victory. Bout #3: Border Brawl: Texas Death Match Terry Funk vs. Tito Santana - These two men are here to settle this feud once and for all, as both Santana and Funk came dressed for a fight. Both men used chairs and the ring post to brutalize their opponent. Funk split Santana open with the branding iron. Funk ground the head of the iron into the cut on Tito's head. Blood poured down Santana's face, but he would not stay down. Santana battled back and hurt Funk with a toss over the guardrail. Funk answered back with a huge swing of the branding iron and KOed Santana after connecting with Tito's jaw. The ref had not choice, but to stop the bout. A huge black "X" with the word CENSORED partially covered the face of Tito on the TV Broadcast. Terry Funk wins the final Border Brawl. Bout # 4: Battle of the Giants Andre the Giant & Blackjack Mulligan vs. Big John Studd & King Kong Bundy (w/ Bobby Heenan) - These four giants started pounding on each other before the bell could even ring. This bout did not feature any arm drags or flying head scissors. Andre and Mulligan dominated, as Mulligan slapped the Claw on Studd, as Andre nailed Bundy with a Big Headbutt. Paul Orndorff came racing down to the ring, but was cut off by Jimmy Snuka. The ref called for the bell as Andre pinned Bundy after that Big Headbutt. Bout #5: Hercules Hernandez vs. King Tonga - Tonga was jumped from behind by Hercules. Hercules pounded the big South Islander with his chain before bell. Tonga was unable to mount any offense and Hercules won with the Argentine Backbreaker. Bout #6: WWF Intercontinental Championship Match Greg Valentine (w/ Luscious Johnny V) vs. Ricky Steamboat (c) - A great bout here, as these two great champions battled in another classic bout. Steamboat took the early advantage, but Greg battled back and had Steamboat in a bad situation. Steamboat escaped a few near falls and battled back to get Valentine down for a 2 count. Johnny V tried to interfer, but Greg nailed him by mistake and this left an opening for Steamboat to nail his Flying Crossbody for the win and retain the gold. The fans stood and cheered this amazing bout. Bout #7: Ivan Putski vs. Ken Patera (w/ Bobby Heenan) - Putski looked awesome, but Patera took it to him from the opening bell. Putski nailed the Polish Hammer, but Patera got his foot on the ropes. Heenan drew the attention of Putski and allowed Patera to nail him with a stiff clothesline. A Swinging Full Nelson by Patera sealed the win. Main Event [/u] Bout #8: [glow=yellow,2,300] WWF World Heavyweight Championship Match [/glow] Hulk Hogan (c) vs. "Rowdy" Roddy Piper (w/ Bob Orton) - The match that has been brewing for months comes to a head here, as Piper and Hogan clashed. Both men traded huge blows to open the bout, drawing every fan to their feet. Piper started to turn the tide, as the fans grew louder and louder cheering for Hogan.
