We were all out for a while tonight and, of course, the wife (jokingly) called me the nerd who plays the wrestling dice game (she loves it undercover. Heck, she knows if I'm playing I'm not at titty bars right?  ) But I figured Star Wars and Trek were right up there... So which group of fans are the biggest nerds? Star Wars - People trying their best to imitate a green Muppet's voice. Hmmmmm Star Trek - A group of fans who invented their own language (Klingon). Hmmmm COTG - A group who plans a summer vacation to go to a small New York town to place a wrestling game. Hmmmmmm. Tough one.  |

I went with Star Trek because about 10 years ago I was in philadelphia in the middle of August one of the hottest days of the year and ran in to some Trekkies dressed in full Klingon battle gear and make up ( on a bus) discussing things like warp drives and the life span of Vulcans. The bus ride was only maybe 20 minutes but it felt like hours. I'd vote for them as the biggest nerds but I'd also vote for them as the most dedicated fans of just about anything i've ever seen

Went with Star Trek. A lot of Trekkies seem to be snobby in their nerdiness.

Yeah, I gotta go with Trek here too. This is mostly because they have so much more material to obsess over than the Star Wars fans.

Definately Trek fans, though from what I've seen of clips from cons and such, there are some Anime fans out there that would give them a run for their money.

No, no, no. It's COTG. Wear it with pride. While we all know we have the obsession with the best of the three options above, the Star Wars and Star Trek people at least have the Hollywood stamp of legitimacy. We, meanwhile, are "wasting our time" on something maybe 0.00000001% of the US population has heard of.
Now I ask you, who are the nerds then?
