Okay..every year around this time most of the promoters in the area around Omaha get together and have a cross card in Malvern, IA...Mayhem in Malvern! The main event is usually all the champions meet together and face in a elimination type bout. Of course one of the promoters always has a uber sick bootleg that always seems to "win" the promoters title...but this year was a bootleg that was STUPID sick...he leveled the top four wrestlers in the GWF without occurring any damage at all...his card had:
Offense: add 1 on five or five different spots besides level 3 offense...3 level 3 offense on level 2 offense...three finishers with ratings of +3...+4...and one you rolled on but reroll on a 6
Defense: all turn arounds on level one with most being 2...two turnarounds on 2 (both lvl 2 offense) and one hurt/the rest dazed. Level 3 defense was three dazes...TWO turnarounds...a down (lv)...and a PIN 4 (1)
All his charts were A...DQ 5...Power and agility was -6
The champions by the other promoters were Disaster..Wolf...Endgame...and Kill Prey...all of them whomped on pretty good...
the bootleg's owner is the type that has them hugely built stat wise and normally becomes a huge whiner is he loses...last year at Gcorn, I basically threw any contention for the championships to appease his mood and played with Cuddley Claw and others to lighten the mood...I like to win but it is not the only thing that drives me to play-it's the fun...but this particular card wasn't fun at all because of the sick bootlegs...
To top it all off...He hooped and hollered like he won the lottery when he won the thing (everyone Gave the others a look like "big suprise")...
It's to the point where I don't like these things because it's becoming an arms race...I was suggesting next year we use the Rahl rating system which most have heard about to keep these things down but I was shot down because "He is my champ after all..he won it a week before the event"...I have used champions like Dead Ringer and have won these things but... A joke was even made about a Bootle Conversion chart...
Suggestions about how to deal with this situation?
