I'm going with New Orleans and San Diego; both were expected to contend for the Super Bowl. Now both are in Jeopardy of missing the playoffs.
But, Green Bay starting 3-0 against playoff teams from last year, and Houston looking good in two wins and only losing by 6 to one of the elite two teams is surprising as well.

I wouldnt say SD is in jeopardy of missing the playoffs. They do have 2 games a piece against the awful Broncos, Raiders, and Chiefs. They are looking bad, though.

Definately the Chargers... I'm only mildly surprised about the Packers being so good and the Saints being lousy.
I think the jury's still out on the Texans, though taking Indy to the limit bodes well..

I give the overall vote to the Packers/Texans.....I honestly expected the Pack to be worse than last year, what with the weak offense. And the Texans -- I figured they'd be better but not this much.
The Chargers are a big surprise but probably will turn it around -- although they are destined to fall short because of Norv Turner and his galactic suckitude.
The Saints? Not so much. One feel-good year does not turn around a largely crappy franchise.

I expected the Chargers to take a dip so I guess I am more suprised by both Houston and Green Bay playing well. It just goes to show you how unpredictable the NFL can be.

Honestly none of these records surprise me too much, except for the Chargers bad start, therfore I went with choice #1. I knew the "(s)aints" would be back in no time. Houston has a lot of talent on their team, they just need something to put it all together. So far this year, they have found it. As far as the Packer's good start; Anything is possible when you have a good defense, and Brett Farvre as your quaterback.

I'm most surprised by how many people are not surprised the Saints are sucking.

I'm most surprised by how many people are not surprised the Saints are sucking. In football (and most sports for that matter), most of the time a team has problems in the defense, a team can be hot, followed by a worse season the next year. For example, look at the St Louis Rams the year they were known as "The Greatest Show on Turf" (I think it was '99) One year after a dominating superbowl season, they finished the following year 10-6. While it's not a horrible season, it's a step down from 14-2. Also, in 1998, the Vikings finished the season 15-1. They also had holes in their defense. The next year they didn't even make the playoffs. They made the NFC championship game the following year, but they got smoked by the Giants 41-0.
