Tonight at the Empire Ballroom here on The Strip, I'm going to my first-ever ROH show. Tonight ROH presents Survival of the Fittest. I've never even seen ROH before so I'm looking forward to it.

ROH! ROH! ROH! ROH! Have fun, Vegas, and let us know what you think when you get back home! Hell, I just got back from ROH tonight (the show ended hours ago but I found a few other thing to do afterward on The Strip )and I had an awesome time! Although I had a 3rd row ticket, there was some confusion about the seating arrangement for sections C and D (the Empire Ballroom is normally a dance hall) and I actually got to sit in the front row right at the center of the stage and Bryan Danielson gave me a high 5 tonight on the way to the ring to fight his match with Nigel McGuinness. I didn't think there was a bad match at all during tonight's tournament and that tag team match with the Briscoes was also incredible- at one point when the action spilled outside of the ring they were fighting about only a few inches away from me as I was drinking one of my beers. In terms of entertainment, my home Las Vegas is without a doubt a world class city and hopefully ROH is smart enough to come back again- if they do then I am definitely going once again!

Glad to hear you enjoy it. Here's the results.
1) Roderick Strong over Brent Albright to advance to the SoTF Finale with a gutbuster.
2) Chris Hero over Karl Anderson with an STF. Anderson looked impressive in a "give and take" match.
3) Rocky Romero over TJ Perkins
4) Austin Aries over Delirious via submission. This match woke up the crowd and was said to be very, very good.
5) Claudio Castagnoli over Davey Richards with a Ricola Bomb.
6) Nigel McGuinness and Bryan Danielson fought to a 20-minute DRAW.
~It was announced that the winner of this 3-way (Tornado v. Kozina v. Hagadorn) gets into the Finals.
7) The Human Tornado over Tony Kozina and Shane Hagadorn when he pinned Kozina.
The Age of The Fall of Jacobs & Necro over Jay & Mark Briscoe in an "all over the venue streetfight" when Jacobs made Mark pass out following a DDT on a chair and Jacobs' submission.
9) Survival of the Fittest 2007 Finale:
~Hero pinned Tornado after Hero's Welcome ~Hero pinned Romero after Aries hit 450 splash ~Hero pinned Aries with a roll-up ~Hero pinned Strong after Hero's Welcome ~Chris Hero over Claudio Castagnoli after Todd Sinclair stopped the match when Claudio passed out in a submission hold by Hero.

Yeah, Hero defeated everyone in the finals but he acted like a coward for part of the match as he sat with his manager on a chair up on the stage away from the ring and then came back when he saw an opportunity to take advantage of something. To me it was sort of like how Edge cashed in his 2 Money in the Bank title shots. But the match was awesome and I think Hero is a great wrestler and (along with his manager) a great heel.

I thought Hero would be a favorite when the thing was first announced (and voted for him in the poll) I was tempted to waiver but I am glad I stayed with my first choice.
sounds like a great show! looking forward to my first ROH action since June at the end of the year in Hartford

Does anyone know if this show will come out on DVD?
I saw two cameramen at ringside filming it and if it comes out on DVD I will buy it to commemorate the fun I had last night. At the show last night, they were selling ROPH DVDs at $10 each with a buy 3 get 1 free special.

Every ROH show is put on DVD, buddy.
Sounds like the "Chris Hero & Larry Sweeney Show" and those guys are ALWAYS a treat. What was your favorite match? Who impressed you the most? What's Jimmy Jacobs new submission finisher look like?

Every ROH show is put on DVD, buddy. Sounds like the "Chris Hero & Larry Sweeney Show" and those guys are ALWAYS a treat. What was your favorite match? Who impressed you the most? What's Jimmy Jacobs new submission finisher look like? Yeah, Hero and Sweeney were great together. In the main event when it came down to just Hero, Claudio, and Roderick Strong, Hero and Sweeney gave Strong some cash to make him their partner in eliminating Claudio. Strong put the cash in his knee pad but Hero turned on him and eliminated him and then took the cash back out of Strong's knee pad and handed it to Sweeney. My personal favorite match was the main event. It was an awesome match and I personally like elimination matches. But there were alot of great matches last night! Most of the wrestlers impresseed me especially Danielson, Claudio, and Aries. There were others too but I am still sort of processing/learning who is who. I unfortunatly can't give a detailed recall of the submission finisher by Jimmy Jacobs because my attention was diverted a little at the time because his tag team partner was fighting with the other Briscoe right near me when the match ended. Thanks to everyone who gave me some feedback about ROH both in this forum and in the poll I created about Survival of the Fittest. It helped me get an impression about what to expect and I agree with you that ROH is awesome. If ROH comes back to Las Vegas, you guys should come see it with me. ROH on The Strip is an awesome combination!

I'm glad I voted for Chris Hero seeing the results. From the bits I read about ROH it seemed like he is being positioned for big things...and there's another reason I voted for him...but I can't say anything about that just yet.

Chris hero looks like he will have a great role ahead of him in ROH. Unless someone in ROH will lock him in with the CHIKARA Special, then his ROH career will be doomed.
