Wow, talk about a guy who knows wrestling. The guy realizes what he'd be working with with Vince and WWE and is very real about what is good about wrestling, and is actually really positive about WWE's product. Anyone else seen this?

I'm interested in the concept of the series. I haven't seen this one but apparently it's a perfect insight into how Gabe goes about booking shows. I read a few reviews and know that Gabe always starts at the finishing point and works backwards. He also believes that under the right circirmstances, regular title changes (like mid card or tag titles) can keep the product fresh.

Knapik I don't want to spoil it for other readers who may be planning on buying it...but the proposed main event structure was a real let down. What were your thoughts on the positioning of RF...and how do you think the hardcore ECW fans would have reacted to it?

Honestly I didn't like his inclusion, LWPD. I don't see him as an ECW guy. I do like his opponent and the idea of him having a large entourage and loved the choices included. I really liked his ideas on the building of the other feuds towards the PPV, but was also disappointed with how he handled Jamie Noble. He claimed he was underused then had basically nothing for him in the end.
I was really impressed with his knowledge of the business though, and what he'd have to work for with the WWE. Overall I think he proves his wisdom, and it was cool to hear from the guy behind Ring of Honor. ROH fans who are WWE haters should take a look at this and see just how much the guy behind the ROH curtain likes and watches the WWE.

That certain main eventer who we aren't spoiling becoming "Justin Credible 2.0" is the worst idea that has ever existed. Ever.
Other than that it was fine, though lacking creativity. I think the series is interesting for the insight into the minds of wrestling bookers, but it kind of falls apart when you realize the minute Gabe suggested any of that to the wrestlers, Vince, or the writing staff he'd be laughed out on his butt.

I think the series is interesting for the insight into the minds of wrestling bookers, but it kind of falls apart when you realize the minute Gabe suggested any of that to the wrestlers, Vince, or the writing staff he'd be laughed out on his butt. Seriously? I thought he did a great job working within the confines of what Vince would really allow (if he would hand something over) with keeping the feel for ECW. I think his wanting to make it 'different' then RAW and Smackdown would be a great strategy to make the company money by taking indy fan WWE-haters and making them fans. Aside from the main event, I have to totally disagree that he'd be laughed out on his butt. The stuff he said made total sense, and I'd be really excited to see his product. edit: And to the wrestlers?! Now that's way off. 95% of the roster he proposed would be over-f'n-joyed to fill the roles he suggested. Are you kidding me? The ECW originals would have heroic roles, a lot of wrestlers underutilized would have new life breathed into their careers.... were you just talking about the main event?

Yeah, mostly (SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS) the stuff with Orton and Flair. Neither of them would go for that at all, especially Flair. I know a lot of the midcard guys would have been happy with it.

Okay I added a spoiler tag to the subject...
Orton I think is a fantastic choice at the time ECW would be coming around. He's big, he's cocky, he would be an awesome heel. I understand bringing Flair in as a crowd favorite, but I don't agree with taking Flair into ECW. There is nothing ECW about Ric Flair. Flair should be in big arenas.
Orton with Val Venis ans Stevie Richards as lackeys would be very entertaining in my opinion. Now you couldn't pick Orton, but last year? Angle was picked and was bigger than Orton, so I don't see the problem there.

I wasn't crazy about Angle or Big Show being sent to ECW either. I realize WHY it was done, but I thought ECW's roster could have been filled out better with newcomers or guys like Venis who had nothing much to do on Raw/Smackdown.
