Can't help but notice each Winter, in the CPC, Blizzard get the perennial push by many of you.
I mean, c'mon. I looked at his card. He is not that good. Especially matched up against so many stacked CPC wrestlers.
He has three belts in the promoter right now. Three. Prodigy had three. Prodigy was 7 Billion light-years better than Blizzard.
Plus his drawing makes him look like he's melting.

Are you crazy? His card is awesome. He's got 8 level 3 moves. He's got a low pin rating. He held my cruiserweight, then IS then CPC title without losing the other two and only barely just recently lost his CPC belt(to Scion Nexus) He's great.

His card is average. He has SIX -3 Moves if you play correctly. Which means using the (CH) option. These moves play a major part in any match. Especially when it's a big man vs. a small man.
He basically has a +1 Finisher.
He has a low pin, but also has two downs on level 3 Defense, average power and above average, but not great agility.
He has only 1 Level 2 defensive turn-around on his entire card.
Scion Nexus has similar yet far superior stats and never did squat in the GWF.
It's the Winter Push.

I don't have Blizzard's card in front of me but.... His card is average. He has SIX -3 Moves if you play correctly. Which means using the (CH) option. These moves play a major part in any match. Especially when it's a big man vs. a small man. I hate to break the news to you, but playing without the (ch) moves is NOT incorrect. (ch) moves are optional, so playing with them or without them is correct. Scion Nexus has similar yet far superior stats and never did squat in the GWF. Well, Nexus won my GWF, I-P, Tag Team and Cruiserweight titles. He has the longest Cruiserweight Title reign in my fed's history (which held him back from going after other belts). He accomplished all of that during a time that had one of the deepest talent pools the GWF has ever seen (if not the deepest). So if Blizzard is comparable to Nexus, then I'd say that's pretty high praise. That being said, Blizzard's a 2-time CPC Cruiserweight Champ for me and currently has the OFC Title as well. He hasn't dominated, but he's been pretty darn good for me. He has three belts in the promoter right now. Three. Prodigy had three. Prodigy was 7 Billion light-years better than Blizzard. I'll agree that Prodigy was a better wrestler than Blizzard is now, but he wrestled in a different era. His accomplishments are amazing. I don't think it reflects poorly on Blizzard that he's matched one of Prodigy's accomplishments. Roger Maris, Mark McGwire, Sammy Sosa and Barry Bonds have all exceeded Babe Ruth's 60 home run total in 1927. Hank Aaron hit 755 home runs, 41 more than the Babe hit in his career. All of that being said, Babe Ruth is still acknowledged by many to be the greatest home run hitter of all time. Virtually everyone acknowledges his greatness.

Mike Mulkey, I'm not trying to split hairs here, but NOT using the CH moves is in fact, THE WRONG WAY TO PLAY.
Ignoring them means you are using the BASIC RULES and therefore you must also NOT use the ropes, out of the ring, turnbuckle or deathjump charts? You must also NOT use fatigue I'm guessing?
The CH moves are called "Choice", not because it's a choice whether to use them or not. They are called "choice" moves because there are 2 choices of moves to choose.
Yes, yes, I know. It's your fed promoter. And I know you can do whatever you want but Blizzard is crap (if used Correctly) and I'm still saying he's getting the sub-conscience Winter months push.
Also, notice I said Scion Nexus is similar, YET SUPERIOR. FAR superior. But the out-lines of thier stats are close.

Mike Mulkey, I'm not trying to split hairs here, but NOT using the CH moves is in fact, THE WRONG WAY TO PLAY. Well, Swarmy Swarm, I don't really feel like splitting hairs either, but I disagree with you, and I've broken out my copy of the OFFICIAL rules to help explain why. Ignoring them means you are using the BASIC RULES and therefore you must also NOT use the ropes, out of the ring, turnbuckle or deathjump charts? You must also NOT use fatigue I'm guessing? Actually, the ropes, ring, turnbuckle and deathjump charts are part of the Basic Game Rules under section "4. Charts". I use them, as well as fatigue. I also use Finisher Ratings, Tagging Out on Defense, Agility and Power Ratings, Basic Chart Choices, Leaving the Ring, The Feud Table, Ring Side Ally and Special Match Rules. The only optional rule that I don't use regularly is the choice situation chart. I'm not using all the optional rules, so I must be doing something wrong, right? Not exactly. To quote the last two sentences of first paragraph under optional rules verbatim: Any of the rules may be used in any combination. Players are advised to use their own judgement in deciding which rules to use and which not to useYes, yes, I know. I won't disagree that there might be a "winter push" for Blizzard (on the other hand, I won't say there is). I haven't touched my CPC since winter began, so I can't comment from personal experience. I'd have to look at the Promoter Rankings for different seasons (plus factor in anyone who voted who lives in the Southern Hemisphere). I notice that you said Scion is similar, yet FAR SUPERIOR. However, I didn't see anything there to back that up. I happen to like Scion Nexus more, but I think that Blizzard is no bum. To recap, not using 1 optional rule is not the wrong way to play.... but it may not be Swarm's way to play. That's fine with me, but it's not fair to tell people that they are incorrect for following the rules. Heck, I use the rule occasionally, but I'm right either way. BTW, who's Mike Mulkey? I've never heard of him.

well I guess you told me.
All I'm saying is that Blizzard is from Centra and his power obviously beyond being a man made of TEXTiceTEXT, is to somehow harness some great, great power not unlike the Alpha Stone, but much cooler I'd imagine, during the cold and snowy months.
I could be wrong.
And you should use the CH moves. You are really doing it wrong the other way.

Poor Blizzard's doing the opposite in my fed. As soon as January rolled around, he dropped the OFC belt to Cypher and hasn't been the same since. He's actually good as long as he stays on offense. Once he's on defense, he usually gets pounded until he either loses or makes a lucky comeback. But usually, rolling the first move in a match is a huge advantage for him.

I could be wrong. And you should use the CH moves. You are really doing it wrong the other way. First off, Blizzard is from OMICRON, not Centra. Blizzard won the OFC title for me when I got the game back in JULY and won the CPC title two months later in SEPTEMBER. July, September, nope no winter months. And if you HAVE to use the (ch) then why is there a move there? why not just put a (ch) situation instead of an actual move? That's because you can CHOOSE to have the wrestler do the move OR roll on he Choice Chart. That is why it is called a CHOICE SITUATION because YOU the PROMOTER get to CHOOSE what you want the wrestler to do

actually, Swarm.....here is what is written in the official rules book concerning optional rules.....
"Included in this section are rules which add realism to the game. Generally these rules allow players to make choices during the course of a match. The rules range from simple to more complicated. Any of the rules may be used in any combination. Players are advised to use their own judgment in deciding which rules to use and which not to use."
So.....from the man himself (assuming Tom was the one that made up the rules)....Tom even says that those rules are optional....

Yes I meant Omicron, Thank You.
I'm sure many many people do not use the CH moves. Once a match gets going, and both guys (or whoever) have a few fatigue tokens, I sometimes stop using them too. (By this point, the wrestlers are worn down etc...)
But I really really think ignoring them all together takes away from the true strengths and weaknesses of the characters. In these moves are where your POWER and AGILITY comes most into play.
The CH moves also provide many of the wrestlers with a Deathjump, or a into the ropes or turnbuckle, that is not represented anywhere else on thier card. BLIZZARD is an example of this.
In other examples, a wrestler can gain an additional -3 move through a CH.
Yes, Tom gives us options, I know. But they are there for a reason.

You are right. They are there for a reason.
To give us OPTIONS.
Do you have wrestlers bleeding after three tokens? Says so in the rulebook. I know lots of folks who don't, though.
I number all my shows, and use choice situations on even number shows and ignore them on odd number. I get even more variety out of my matches then.
And Blizzard started off REALLY well in my CPC, though he has tapered off...but he's still one of my top cruisers.

When I "push" a wrestler, it means I give them opportunties...but winning or losing is still up to them.
I don't like Archon, for instance...so when he gets a title, I tend to stack his defenses, hopefully to ensure a short reign. I was downright giddy recently when Encubus beat him in my Galaxian title tournament.
Genocide (in 2117) bores me...so I rarely remember to book him. When I do, it's always undercard stuff.
Valour, on the other hand, is having a hot streak and getting all the opportunities. Aegis was the same way at the start of the year, but when he started choking, I relegated him to wrestling on GWF Turbo (my Heat/Velocity style show).

He never came close to winning any title and lost almost all the time. His drawing is garbage, so much so he actually looks like he's melting. So in my fed, that's what he did. During a card on Mercury in 2118, the buffoon locked himself out of the arena while waiting for the ice-cream cruiser man. When Cordanus and Mensar found him, he was nothing more than a head in a pool of water. As he begged to be saved Mensar whipped out his Menis and well, finished the job. Shylock showed up and was told by Mensar "don't eat the yellow snow". The crowd loved it!

OK, hold on. I know you liked my what I am doing in my GWF fed, but that is the single greatest angle I have ever seen, read or heard about!
By the way, Blizzard is actually involved in a bloody feud with Rubicon which is documented in my CPC thread. He recently won the Interstellar title from Rubicon, and there feud has no end in sight.

Thanks Joe.
In your fed does Blizzard "bleed" wind shield wiper fluid? He did in mine.

I never really thought about it. I always just figured he bled regular old blood, except it was blue, you know with him being real cold, and all.

I do agree that his drawing is bad but look at his offenseive stats,8 level 3 moves between all 3 levels plus an add 1 move. granted in most matches his finisher is a +1 but if he hits his add 1 move multiple times it wont matter. Not only that he only has 2 down 3 moves on defense and his PIN is a 1. I say those are some pretty darn good(not superstar but still good) stats
