How Often Should CotG HOF Cycles Run?

Once per year would coincide with new candidates entering into each cycle (meeting the five year retirement rule).

Twice a year would be the most frequent pace I'd personally support...perhaps spaced out six months from the start of each cycle just to keep the institution somewhat active. It may also be helpful as a device to deal with the 'separate wings' issue that still needs to be fleshed out.

Any ideas regarding an alternative form of pacing would also be interesting to hear.

Pro or con feel free to make your case. The poll will be left open for a one month period...and majority vote decides the format going forward.

Once a year seems fine to me. Sets are only coming out once a year at the moment too. The voting is a lot of work, twice a year seems like a lot to go through.

I'm leaning heavily toward once a year, with the end of the final vote coinciding near the release of the new set. However, a second class for this year only would be fine too. I'll hold off voting for a while.

I voted for twice per year, mainly because I'm afraid that we will lose momentum on this effort if it "sits" for the next nine months.

Twice a year should allow for three months "on" to hold the two voting phases and perform any other tasks necessary to keep things running smoothly, followed by three months off.

Heck, if we start averaging two people per cycle, then twice a year isn't really too many. I also agree that it might go stagnant if it's once a year.

Twice a year, agreed. As time goes on, we could even see 1 or no people entering the HOF, so I think 2 a year is just fine

I preferred one cycle myself, but if there were 2, let's make the second for tag teams. Once a year, there'd be a singles induction and later on come tag teams.
