In a thread on the GWF board, I discussed some of the problems I have seen with the GWF in 2119. I am currently in April of 2119 and, through the first three months of the year, feel the CPC is the superior federation at this point.
One of the problems discussed with the current GWF is its lack of proven stars and interesting characters. The CPC seems to be ahead of the GWF in that regard. Jack of Diamonds, Puma, Scion Nexus, Mike Fortune, Brainstorm, Blizzard and Shylock have all been around long enough to generate some level of emotional interest. They also have steadily risen to their respective spots at the top of the card, not just debuted there or been given the spot by default. It might be just me, but I care about the outcome of a feud between Jack of Diamonds and Prince Zed, whereas the the Colonizers-Genesis and Titans-Society of Death feuds are of barely any interest. Perhaps it is because the feuds seem to be just rehashments of old feuds, only with new faces. Feuds in the CPC, such as Rubicon vs. Puma and Brainstorm vs. the Czar are fresh and exciting, and Mark deserves a lot of credit for his work.
I remember prior to the release of 2119, a lot of speculation about the roster involved people trying to find wrestlers to fit into roles played by someone else in 2087. This seems to have been what happened, and after a few months of playing, it seems that this strategy may have been faulty.
Other speculation about 2119 centered around which GWF castoffs the CPC should sign. Well, with not quite half of the year completed, it would seem that the GWF should start looking at the CPC in hopes of landing a castoff or two from it.
