I think having a drawn digited belt onto the COTGonline will make the game more satisfying,,,,me as a gamer, would love to have the champion and the digitized belt to correspond to the champion,,,,We already have great talented artists, why not have them draw the belts and have the belt incorporated into the system....,,,,,i think that would be cool!!

I like the idea...
I remember asking Tom & Mark to do this for the Files ver. 2, but it didn't happen...but definitely something that should!

I have to say that I'm suprized that this hasn't happened yet. It's obviously not a neccessity but it adds the finishing touches to the game. It would benice to have it automatically attached to the relevant champ. Maybe several drawings could be put forward with the gamer choosing which one is to be official, either that or an offical vote could be done like there was for the colouring in of the COTG characters.

Yeah we considered this idea a ways back...I think the Game Table belt might have been more work as compared to at least having a belt image in the Stat Tracker somewhere, but I can't speak for either programmer.
Anyhow, if you guys remember, I posted a contest of some sort asking people to design belts...the interest level wasn't exactly the highest, but now that the offer has been made, I'd love to see some o your belts amarti (you mentioned that you have some created in another thread).

Putting belts in the Game Table is significantly more work than putting them in the Stat Tracker. Now, I can't speak to how long, because I'm not the Flash guy, but I've got to imagine that recoding the XML structure for the wrestlers and setting up an overlay on the cards would take longer than the two hours or so it'd take me to get them in the Tracker.

i would have to agree with BDS that it would be more complicated to have it come up in the game table...i am sure it is doable maybe something for a big release. I would think that getting it onto the stat tracker would be a bit easier...maybe something like a frame around the pictures that comes up when you go tot he DSPN page...
just throwing ideas out...i am sure how ever it comes out, it will be cool.

I have already done a digitized belt on the Chaos Special Edition card based on the GWF belt that another fan had created for real. I know that adding a belt would be cool but would be some programing envolved. If the belt is saved as a transparent png as a separate style sheet it would be do-able. They would have some type of class or id that would determine to add the belt style sheet to that picture. I dont know how the online game is coded but if it web based it can be done. Of course the varables would have to be worked out and also the belt may not appear correctly on every card since alot of the characters are in different poses. I have a link with all of the belts that Swarm and others have created on my downloads page on www.krazykards.com/links.php . What people like to do is print them out cut them out and than you can overlay the belt onto your current champ's card. Kevin K

This is a great idea! I don't know how soon we could get the images into the Online system, but this is a definite start! ...and these belts are cooler than anything anyone could draw up. Thanks, faction! ~ :-Xsk

Piggybacking on this idea:
Will the rankings eventually be configured to display rankings in the standard manner (like in our Promoter and all the Wresling mags)?
- For me it makes things more clear cut and with the current champ placed above everyone it seems to add more prestige
- Now the #1 contender is not actually listed #2 and lower
- With the current setup, your champion actually gets ranked lower than others based on how the points have worked themselves out at that moment...this part is probably my biggest annoyance
Just a small thing, sure...although I think I asked about it a few times before when things were just starting up. I think BDS mentioned he'd try to get to it or something.

I'll try and take some full spread shot tonight and hope they come out.
The issue with photographing them without the proper/ideal lighting is that the plates are so shiny that with a flash they get reflect a hot spot and without a flash I don't have enough ambient lighting to really get a nice photo that doesn't seem washed out. I'll experiment tonight with that.

Now that the new websites are done, I can actually do things in the Stat Tracker again. Hooray! This is definitely on my little internal shortlist of things that I'd like to get done. It shouldn't be too difficult with the way things are structured now, but there are a couple of little glitches I'll want to smooth out before I implement it. So don't look for it this month - probably in the March update, instead.

So don't look for it this month - probably in the March update, instead. Great! Couple things to think about...not sure how they'd all work or if others approve, but here goes: - Possibly some type of 'prestige' rank to be added on each of your belts. Simply a number that says, "in my fed, this belt is best, this second best, etc." - A way to give separate rankings under different belts, possibly tying it somehow to 'match tags', i.e. tagging a match as 'cruiserweight' somehow links it up with your cruiserweight belt (as well as allowing it to still counted under the overall rankings. Then you can do mass rankings for your main belt and also by filtering the 'cruiserweight' matches. Separated rankings based on type of match linked up with an appropriate belt. Giving you 'divisions', sort of. - Obviously, the current champ should always be bumped up to the top in their own spot thus preventing a champ who happens to have a low point total from being ranked #6 or some such.

Those are awesome!!! My only minor nitpick is to have the main championship a lot bigger overall. More resembling the giant NWA Ric Flair belt. I believe its now the WWE Championship belt. Otherwise, those are great!!

Otherwise, those are great!! I designed these belts to be more inspired by the WWF Winged Eagle belt and the classic WWF I-C title of the 80s-90s. These belts were built by the same guy who did those belts and built them to the same proportions. It's odd but the IC title was bigger than the world. To offset this I put more black and silver in the IP title and made the Galactic title have a lot more Gold so if feels more prestigious. But you are absolutely correct the Galactic title is "smaller". It really comes down to taste, I've always seen the the Big Gold (I know this is sacriligious to the Big Gold fans out there) as something like a trash can lid put on a leather strap. Not to say that the NWA doesn't have great belts. I also have the 80s U.S. and T.V. title on my shelf. Those belts are incredibly beautiful. i196.photobucket.com/albums/aa25/the_faction/IMG_2396.jpg
