will I be ready for online play when it becomes available, or will I have to buy something else at that point?

It's available now!
If you're asking if you need to own some other COTGonline stuff (like a subscribtion or game package), the answer is no.
You can set up a demo account to access your purchased POW PDF.

Kris- You're going to have to color me dense on this one. You can buy the PDFs of the CPC/POW stuff now, but you can't actually play those sets online, correct?
What I'm confused about, is when those sets are available for online play, will these purchases enable me to do so? Or will I have to buy something else for online play. I'm already a subscriber, so by "something else"., I mean set-wise.
Also, even when CPC/POW goes up for online play, you won't be able to simulate the MMA ruleset (yet), is that correct as well?
Thanks for your help.

The POW sets that are for sale are for printable versions of the cards only. What I'm confused about, is when those sets are available for online play, will these purchases enable me to do so? Or will I have to buy something else for online play. I'm already a subscriber, so by "something else"., I mean set-wise. I can't speak to this, unfortunately. I know very little about the way things get priced and packaged. However ... Also, even when CPC/POW goes up for online play, you won't be able to simulate the MMA ruleset (yet), is that correct as well? Thanks for your help. Assuming that the decision is made at some point to make the POW ready for use in the Stat Tracker and Game Table, I'll definitely make sure that the MMA ruleset is ready to go in the PBP Sim when it launches. The ruleset is very tight and very similar to what we've got already. I'd just need a couple of tweaks, the new charts, and some new AI decisions for the MMA-specific rules, and we'd be ready to go. It wouldn't take me more than a day to get everything up and running for an MMA sim.

Sort of a related question (maybe I'm dense as well) but if I order the CPC/POW Throwdown, does that include the "booklet" for POW Revival 2122 or do I need to order that separately? The Throwdown description mentions all 44 cards, charts, rulebook, etc, but I didn't see that it included the new handbook for the continuing POW storyline.
Also, on an unrelated note ... are these new charts that are coming out in December going to be available in the game table for COTG online?

Yes, every one of the available POW sets includes the POW 2122 Handbook in all of its enormity. Also, on an unrelated note ... are these new charts that are coming out in December going to be available in the game table for COTG online? An excellent question, and one that I don't have an answer for. I'll check with the guys and let you know.

those of you that went to Kinkos or whatnot, how much (roundabour figure) was it to print of the MMA cards, and the new wrestlers?

I printed all the MMA cards on cardstock at Office Max and had them make the cuts there, too, and I got it done for right around $15. I didn't do the new wrestlers, but to add them into the mix would have been another $3 or so.

Printing everything at Office Max cost me $22.50. This does not include cutting.
