So I was talking to a friend on the telephone today and I mentioned CotG Online. He was pretty interested and after we hung up he decided to give the demo a try. He called me back and said that the game looks interesting, but that he didn't know how to play the game and there were no instructions available in the application.
Now I gave him a quick rundown on how to play, but it got me wondering if instructions were included with the full version or not. I'm not sure if the intention is to force people to buy the physical product in order to get play instructions, or if you're hoping to attract players who would potentially play on the computer ONLY. It seems the former would make the buy in way to high for new players so I'm assuming the latter is true. If that's the case it would make sense to have the game rules available in the application somewhere.
Anyway, my friend (as well as a few others) may be tempted to sign up so we can play online. Hopefully they'll come to a decision over the weekend and we can get something going.
PS If the game instructions are already available in the program then I apologize for wasting bandwidth.

Hehe. Sometimes when you're too close to something some really obvious things can kind of zip on by. I am the master of that myself. ;D

The rules went up into COTGonline with v2.03, which I'm rolling out today. They will get tweaked over time to be inclusive of the Game Table, because now it still says roll dice and look at charts and such. When they get finalized into an official COTGonline version, then I'll put them on the Wiki and make a downloadable version available, as well.

Nice job on adding the rules. I like the fact that you'll be making an online specific rulebook to make it easier for the digital players to play the game. Nice job.
As far as the rulebook goes, I've always thought a digital "living rulebook" was the way to go. That way any aditions or changes can be made right to the document and anyone can download the most up to date version. This method is being used to great effect by companies like GMT.

That was something that I never noticed when I got the package. I was just "Cards...Check. Stats...Check. Table...Check. Yearbook...Check. Alright, I'm ready."
