Will the Simulator work on a Mac? I've been looking forward to something like that for a long, long, long time. Let me be a little more specific - I'm a little flu-ridden today, so I'm not quite thinking straight. Everything in the Stat Tracker portion, including the record keeping, rankings, and both the quick and PBP simulator, should work just fine on any modern internet browser. The only thing you might have trouble with on a Mac as of now is the Game Table, which we're only supporting for Internet Explorer on Windows as of right now. Sorry for not being more clear earlier!

No, my mistake... I didn't know that the Sim was considered part of the Stat Tracker. I thought that it was kind of its own thing, like the Game Table. Sorry!
Thanks for the outstanding news... I am going to have to dig some money out now.
and BDS... Get well!

That's why I wanted to make sure I clarified that - I figured that's where the disconnect was. Basically, everything subscription-based service in COTGonline that isn't the Game Table falls under the umbrella of the Stat Tracker - that includes the rankings, simulators, gallery, etc. Thanks for the outstanding news... I am going to have to dig some money out now. Hooray for new customers! Thank you! I get that instruction a lot around these parts. One of the detriments of working from home is that I can't hide an illness from Dr. Wifey ... so days like today don't see me getting too much done.

The gametable works very well in Firefox on the mac. Not in Safari though. But yeah, the game table works on mac! (And the stat tracker works fine on the iPhone.)

Stat Tracker (including the Pbp sim) works just fine in both Safari and Firefox on a System X Mac. As BDS said, it doesn't work on anything older.. Stat Tracker will come up on Explorer for System 9, and you can look at stuff, but you can add or modify anything.

(And the stat tracker works fine on the iPhone.) On the PS3 and PSP, as well! I need to try the Game Table on the PS3 ... the last firmware patch allegedly upgraded the web browser

Just a minor niggle, but how about the results having tapouts? I just ran a match between Tauran and Swarm (excellant match by the way) and when Tauran did his Sharpshooter, it was followed by a two count. So if there's a way for the simulator to define submissions from pinfalls that would be good. Having the victim reach for the ropes instead of kicking out from a submission makes more sense, especially since not many submissions double as pin attempts.
Other than that, the Play By Play is a brilliant edition and is almost perfect for me to do a GWF fed for the original sets and maybe one for POW aswell. The first GWF show had a 95% whitewash for the villains, but I think that's just the luck of the draw rather than biased simulations.

It's certainly something I've thought about, and long term, it might be something we implement. For the forseeable future, though, it's probably not going to happen. The reason being that it is, as you said, a minor niggle, but the time investment to fix it (specifically having to go through every wrestler and flag their submission moves as such somehow) would be huge. It's just not feasible right now, unfortunately.

The PBP Sim is coming along very nicely. The match descriptions are top notch and the return on time invested can't be beat. It's definitely a value for anyone looking to 'book' CotG concepts but is short on time. The sooner the whole GWF library is available the better.
Some things I'd love to see:
* A Two out of Three Falls match where fatigue effect is 'carried over' from one fall to the next (right now I just click the run three matches option...would love to see the carry over from fall to fall)
* A Customize an Existing Chart option (for example on Barbed Wire Cage turn the ram into steel cage into an automatic add one...a Deathjump 'connect or miss' into an add one, etc). I don't know to what extent this may be practical 'near term' (staggering certain options such as initial fatigue shows it can be done broadly) but I'd love to see customizing aspects of specific game charts become a reality down the road
* Elimination Matches (the introduction of matches where the scoring of a fall eliminates the person the fall is scored on....but does not end the match...such as Triple Threat, Survivor Series style tag, etc)
* Sim a Tournament (the grand daddy...this one would be huge from an ROI standpoint...especially with a fatigue carry over factor. This would be a lot more practical than running the same match 100 to 1000 times)
CotG Online offers a ton of potential...and I'm enjoying the ride. Keep up the good work guys.

* A Two out of Three Falls match where fatigue effect is 'carried over' from one fall to the next (right now I just click the run three matches option...would love to see the carry over from fall to fall) You can add fatigue tokens before each sim. So you can sim the first fall and count up the tokens. Then you can add them to the wrestlers and sim again for the second fall. Continue until you reached the number of wins needed. Then you could add the times together for the full match length. Also, I would like to see handicap matches done for the sim.

I am looking for the sim to be able to 'carry over' fatigue on it's own. Incorporating this element into the sim would open the doors to a great mix of other match options (2 out of 3 Falls, Iron Man Matches, Elimination Tags, Battle Royals) without us having to rote go back and forth manually calculating these things ourselves. The main value of the sim (for me at least) is game play value coupled with time efficiency.

- Outside Interference... maybe a way to note a ringside ally, with a check box to indiciate whether or not said ally is prepared to interfere in the match (via the outside Int. Chart, or on Out of the Ring situations) This would be a good way to incorporate the manager charts like Strutter and Thantos too. Yea, one I was looking for a way to show either a team or a single wrestler's manager as part of the team list. I was also looking to see if they interfere in the match and if they do then show it happening in the play-by-play.

hey kris,,,,thank you for helping me enroll to the cotgonline,,,i am a great fan of the gwf series since the early 90's,,and this new cotgonline is fantastic,,,kris, you and your team kicked it up a notch!!,,,kudos!!,,, Kris, @ home i have about 16 titles all together including tag-team titles,,and i have cut out titles in full color, these are my original designs, and used paper clips to hold the title to the card,,,(**laughter** my wife says i am weird, yet the title represents realism to me in my own world.) Kris, i was wondering if you and your team are considering implementing a visual title on the simulator to show what championship match it will be,,,i mean the title would be visible @ the bottom of the game table,,,then whichever wrestler wins, on the next screen, would be the wrestler, and the colorful gold title right beneath the character, or maybe a seperate simulator with visual gold titles with the wrestler that won or the previous years,,kris if you like, you can use a few of my titles just for inq,,,i spoke to tom, and he likes the idea,,,here are my titles: -gwf heavyweight champion -interplanetary champion -united planets champion -holovision champion -intergalactic champion -universal champion -millennium champion -northern hemisphere champion -gwf global champion -united planets tag team and universal tag team titles -inter-federation champion (this belt is for a wrestler who is champion from one federation, and challanges another wrestler champion of another federation or challanges his title!)

Good stuff!
Actually yes, we have considered adding a "title belt image" to cards in the Game Table and Stat Tracker. Right now, we're working on other upgrades, but are definitely still interested in implementing this feature.
Thanks for your suggestions !

I do intend on working in both managers and interference down the road - it's just doesn't feel quite right to me without them. Rest assured, they're on the list.
