Roster Question

In my classic fed I'm in year 2099. I'd like to start entering in the results for these matches as I roll them out. I realize that most of the roster in 2099 I'll have to enter as "Non Official" wrestlers, but for the ones that are in the original set (Wolf, Brute, Massacre) is there a problem in adding them from the 2087 set to the 2099 roster? Will the wins and stuff count for those guys? Or should I just wait to enter in results as each set comes out?
